Kind of difficult to do arena when I somehow never have enough to run the armadas (because the counter doesn't increment when I destroy a hostile). Also was still getting messages about solos I won after the match was over.

Also, is it possible to fix this? (Edit: forgot explanation, it was stuck there, the arena main screen continues to lock up and get stuck like that, requiring force closing the game)

So, I get what you're saying, and you're not wrong. The game 'not working' on non-supported devices isn't a "bug" in the traditional sense, but the complete lack of notice by Scopely, the complete lack of foresight on how this massive system change will impact the player base is the bug. I am glad that Scopely upgraded their 'system' to a much newer version, but I don't think it's too much to ask of Scopely to communicate these massive changes in advance. There are players are have completely lost access to the game now with zero warning and as far as I'm aware... they're SoL. Communication a week later isn't acceptable. If Scopely is not intentionally trying to run this game into the dirt, the Company (not you or Hammy specifically, of course) needs to be better. We don't want lip service. The update to Unity 6 would have been the perfect time to show that you are 'being better'. And Scopely flopped. Hard.

That's fine. But that's not what a 'bug' is in terms of Software. The system limitations for Unity 6 are well documented. Scopely knew going into this update that players would lose access. If I had to guess, they ran the numbers to see what clients and how many clients would be impacted, and determined that the risk was worth it based on the overall low percentage of player clients that could be impacted.

I get where you're coming from, but I'm speaking more from a software development perspective. No longer supporting a specific 'client' isn't uncommon. Lack of communication IS.

Typically, even older slower computers still can run stuff when it doesn’t have the requirements. What is going on is scopley can’t program. They break everything, won’t fix anything, want more money. And they give answers like that so they don’t have to fix their poor programming

Uninstall.
Delete the game folder.

Then reinstall from a fresh downloaded copy of the launcher from the website.

The fix that went out this morning was for the corrupted account lockout. It sounds like your player is running into Unity-related issues.

They should try a clean install:

Removing the AMD HD 7500 GPU fixed the unity issue with Win10 - if you're still having the unity issue check your GPU. It isn't enough that your GPU supports DirectX 10 or 11 it can't be on the GPU conflict list.

i can give a little more insight into this issue with the physical keyboard attached to my android tablet, samsung galaxy tab s7+. when tapping into the text box area, of the in game chat, and immediately, within a split second, tap a key, ie the letter a, on the physical keyboard, the letter a will show up in the text area, but any longer than a split second after tapping the text area then it does not accept physical keyboard input, and repeating that process of immediately typing a key after tapping the text area, it will replace the previous letter, ie typing the letter b will overwrite the letter a, so it seems like something is continuously resetting the keyboard input when a physical keyboard is attached with this latest game update and already tried restarting the tablet, in addition to the previous steps mentioned, and also clearing the primary virtual keyboard app cache, but did not resolve this issue, so now the only way to type in game chat is to temporarily unattach the physical keyboard type a message, then attach it again so it can be used within other apps on the tablet like discord

Scrapping Stella results in no Stella whole scan and when complaining to scopely about it results in scopely claiming you did in fact receive it and you actually built the ship from it again and it's as plain as the nose on my face. That ship hasn't been built and is not in my inventory (I have two Stellas, not one and perhaps that's the source of confusion

Potential graphics glitch. I go to collect my PvE loot chest, I see a lock and the loot chest seems to not give me my awards. Granted there is a daily limit, which I did not know until I looked it up at the FAQ website. It seems odd since my ships are so puny and I do not put in a lot of time into the game on a daily basis. Further, I can still make kills, and have it contribute to my faction reputation. So there seems to be a glitch somewhere. It would be unfortunate if my work in the game was for nothing.

Well done Scopely: you have achieved it in the end, creating an Arc that is Pay To Play...

Designing hostiles that are impossible for lower powered players to kill without research while also making it impossible to do the research without kills is the perfect mix to stop your players from being able to progress in the Arc without having to buy your £99 packs. However I am not interested in playing a game that the Devs are making it Pay to Play so I'm done.

Still having the game lock up after getting mission key from store,then returning to the game,as soon as you open a menu in the game,it locks up,an you have to quit an restart game

Needs to have this ,where it shows what you got from the store,removed, never understood stood why it has to show you, whatever you got from store when opening the game
