Lort... 99% of all research works on the base value. Meaning if base value is X, then the Attrition research reduces that base value to 0...but there are plenty of researches that also give -% to base value, ergo you will still lose rep unless you managed to go the entire game without putting anything into those researches (and subsequently locked yourself out of nearly all faction research and g4+ research.)

That happens with weapons that fire multiple times. All shots will fire regardless, and if you're destroyed before the last shot then all subsequent shots will also list as destroyed, as your hull health will be zero for each shot.

So I recently reported the following to scopley support : I think there is a bug in the Ex-Borg Attrition Researches. I researched the first level of Federation Attrition. Prior to completing the research the amount a Fed Reputation lost when attacking a lvl 49 Miner in Sol was 36.6K. After completing the research the amount was unchanged (NO REDUCTION). Is this a bug and if it is not then please explain how this research is suppose to work. Thanks in advance!

After waiting a couple days I eventually got this reply: Ridge here. Thank you for waiting. I've received an update from the team. Based on their input, there may have been other research that you made that is impacting your reputation gains or losses. As such, you may have selected options that affected the outcome leading to the number of reputation points you've lost. This may be from other research trees or might be from the Fleet Commander skills selected during the instance reported.

I hope this sheds light on your query. Should you have other concerns, please don't hesitate to beam us a new message. Live long and prosper, Commander. 🖖

So basically their answer was no answer - it MAY be interaction with other research - BUT it MAY also be a bug. What this person completely ignored was the fact that reputation loss did not change AT ALL from completing the research.

I assumed that the reputation difference would have been taken into consideration when choosing the target but your question made me rethink that assumption so I took out the heavy miner and found that my reputation dropped 68.727K which really doesn’t a lot of sense from my POV - the related researches I found were Fed Apprentice (9% increase), Fed Notoriety (9% increase) and Fed Attrition (20 % decrease) - I can’t figure out why the difference is so high.

Ship and crew can also apply bonuses to reputation, as well as syndicate from syndicate level 20, and I think @lilac juniper had listed a few more potential bonuses available too.
We'd have to go through it all and make sure everything is accounted for, but it should work out as just the sum of all the positive and negative bonuses.

Besides the above-mentioned issue there's another thing that really drives my crazy: The Armada fights should take 5s. But the sometimes take up to 30s(!). Also ships that are called home will stand in the system even a minute after you pushed the button... You first have to help someone or grab a chest or something so that the communication with the server refreshes. Together with the fact, that I had an Armada with two different timers, I think you really have a problem with the communication/refresh rate between User and server...

It appears to be working for me (checked the fed one).
Screenshots are before and after killing a sol 49, without and then with the exo.

My total research bonus is 82%, and I have a 6% syndicate bonus, so without exo, expected loss of rep is 36600 x 1.82 x 1.06 = 70608 which matches the difference to within rounding. With the exo that is reduced by 36600 x 0.5 = 18300, to 52308. The calculation is a bit funky, as it appears the syndicate bonus is not applied to the exo’s effect.

Ich checked everything again. I have a loss of 9701 rep with exo and a loss of 11876 without. That's a diff of about 2100 which would be about 50% of the base value of 4350. (If this is how it works and the base value of the lost rep is used...) Thus I obviously didn't notice the effect it the exo because it's within rounding... Around 10k compared to 12k loss.

However Armada still went ahead I finished up with ship showing has dead, Having beaten the Armada, Battle Report showing I survived and beat it. Was showing that ship required repairs. Before doing the iso emulsion reduction. Needed 708.44k for final tier of Officer stats. I completed researches. Should have 27% reduction in costs. But. NOTHING. Still requires 708.44k.

If anyone was paying attention to the timers in the recruit section they would have noted the expiration difference between the recruit chest and the weekly key claim. The daily key claim is also known to disappear at the end of the month

That was true of the web store, but you also couldn’t accumulate keys in the old system - when Scopley decided to implement the Mission Keys as an in game feature they separated the key obtaining from key redemption mechanics. They apparently just did it poorly. Not really fair to players.

For the past three days I have had constant crashing, it blames internet speed, but it is the only game or app that does this, with speed testing Fing at the time of the crashes. I use Android phone. Tonight I am going to try on my laptop and iPad to see if it still occurs. I asked my alliance at that time one other online said he was having same issues on android. I'm not sure why, but for some reason the daily/ weekly mission badge token. I'm not sure what it's called. Where you go to the website, you click on it and you get a character shard such as khan has disappeared. I don't recall reading a patch note saying that it's going to be removed

I bought the Elite April Daily Reward pack on April 11th. On April 12th, I got the "normal rewards". 2 days later I was wondering because I only got half the rewards. Same next day and the day after. (See screenshots below)
I opened a ticket on April 18th. Got an auto-response "We will look into it..." Nothing happened. Asked again after a few days. "We'll look into it" and closed the ticket. Opened another ticket why they closed it, and got the response "by mistake, can happen...". Waited a few days, asked again "We'll look into it", and today closed the ticket again.

What a great way to treat a paying customer. Ticket numbers are 9134578 and 9175399.

I'll just hope someone can look into this, and people check your rewards for the packages. Always take screens!

I tested it specially for two months with different manipulations, the result is one dummy falls out. Just a colossal deception on the server. Some are simply given everything, others are simply kept on purpose, not allowing a pure conspiracy to develop..

• The chat just 'stops' working (ie. internally disconnected)
• not all chats are represented in the chat (mostly happening with multiple people reacting at once, such as saying 'omw' when an armada starts)

Can we please get some status light in the chat stating if it's disconnected and even more so, a reconnect button to solve the first issue (or just make it reconnect automagically). And perhaps even more important than having it work at all: can we ensure all chat lines are displayed? it's frustrating to no end to find out some chatline is not displayed bc of some parse error at the servers end.

We’ve had this very unusual bug where we haven’t been able to change any alliance information—not the name, description, or info. The biggest problem is that we cannot change our alliance from public to private because the toggle is on that same screen. An error about our name containing profanity keeps coming up anytime we try to change any of it. This started happening, I think it was October/November when the word “wtf” started to be censored in chat. That makes me believe this was an unintentional result of Scopely and team adding our alliance name to the profanity blacklist. Any help would be appreciated!

It isn't my fault for using an odd number of ships (as it is designed - with 3 slots). If the "rounding error" position is to be accepted, then the awarded amount should be divisible by 1, 2 and 3 (like 6), or however would otherwise avoid this situation, to FIX THE BUG and have the stated rewards = actual rewards.

Depends on context. I was busy with other stuff so I cut down the response to the 2 most helpful words and probably the quickest way to work around it. The bug is as old as Solo armadas are and it hasn’t changed or been any indication it will change. The servers use the exact % distribution of your ships. They don’t look at the rewards the armadas give

However, if they aren't going to do the work to code where this doesn't happen in calculating rewards, they could simply make the edict rewards divisible by 1, 2 and 3 to avoid the issue (I'm pretty sure, not a math wizard to confirm) without any new coding. I'm sure I'm not the first person to be newer to dominion solos long after they came out and won't be the last.

Feels like for Solos the loot calculation should have been floor( sum_ships(ShipPower/TotalShipPower*modifiers) ) so for something like 1.4 + 1.4 + 1.4 it would be 5 edicts instead of 3) instead of flooring in the inner summation (for higher levels if matters a lot less because it's a maximum difference of 1 edict per ship no matter what level, so really only matters for 35U, maybe 40U

The main problem is that the number of edicts is so small for the low level armadas. You’d never notice missing one or two of the armada loot because that’s at least in tens of thousands, but missing one or two out of four is a huge difference. If they’d just multiplied everything edict related by 100x even, this wouldn’t be an issue at all.

I keep getting this weird bug at my personal base. I can be doing anything with a ship really, in this most recent case I was upgrading a ship on dock D. When done, I swapped to my Newton and when it came up, it says it needs to be repaired, even though it wasn't active and I just switched to it. I then have to repair the ship I just swapped into to before I can do anything. It has happened multiple times now and I don't know what the trigger is, it just happens when I switch to the Newton sometimes.

Note to increase in the officer stats but the drop in ship power... No territory buffs no alliance buffs no temporary boosts of any kind. The 6.5 million picture was taken yesterday and now due to some glitch from the either negligent or incompetent people at scopely this game is once again completely unenjoyable and I recommend no player it's been there harder and money on a broken product.

You would need to rule out the usual suspect first, such as expired exo or territory services.
I would start by looking at the info page (click on one of their ships from the report, then hit the i in the middle, then compare the 3 stat breakdowns for your ship to see what has actually changed).

Same armada, 35 seconds apart. Several ships had their power ratings downgraded when they joined, and corrected later. This is causing people to star out ships that appear to have lower power, incorrectly.

Warp cancel / warp timer / etc., doesn’t show up 9 times out of 10 and you have to initiate warp with another ship to force it to pop up.

I have the same default error 2 in my IPad 9… usually it happens that way: 1) I change a ship and after pressing the “Assign ship”, the two below buttons in the next screen (“Assign officers” and “Upgrade”) don’t show. 2) I have to press the “back” button at the upper left. 3) then I press “Manage” on the same ship and then the two buttons missing reappear (“Assign officers” and “Upgrade”). 4) I press “Assign officers” and select the officers. When I press the “Confirm” button, it shows the default error 2 and say that the app is not connected to the internet. And then the app fully reloads.

I'd check your connection. Being attacked while warping/cloaked suggests that your client is desync'd from the server, ie. what you see isn't what the server sees. Some of your older posts also point in that direction.

Not sure exactly how it's done, but you attack someone who's mining overnight, and it makes the game think they were the one who initiated combat and it cancels the shield

The rewards are converting to TPs and XP, the reward screen just isn't capable of conveying that information to you. You can test it yourself by SSing your starting officer TPs & XP, claiming the rewards, and then comparing to your current inventory.

Due to how the game splits up the loot in an armada there will be some minor differences in what is shown in a pre-scan versus what comes out of it at the end. In the case of low level SAs, this can result in fewer edicts.

From my understanding Pic Beverley is suppose to increase what you get hitting targets by 10% it works on borg drones for the nano drones and on the eclipse targets for the keys but when you hit swarm she doesn't increase the modules you get by 10%.

I've been hitting lvl 27 probes and have check what the probe had and what it gave me and it seem to have worked and also with level 27 exchange transports. unless there's something else increasing the amount of cargo i get from the targets.

There is research that increases the loot from probes for the vidar, and the Stella’s ship ability (as well as a research later on) increases loot from eclipse hostiles.

When entering the alliance starbase view I'm unable to rotate the view (in order to see other components of the base) on my PC. On Android it works. This is not new (I guess it happens since introduction of the alliance starbase) and not really critical, so I silently waited for a fix. When are the following bugs getting fixed for iOS app?

1. Cached system content goes stale and mining nodes do not refresh until you exit and enter the system
2. System is empty of ships, stations and hostiles, need to exit and renter
3. Purple display artifacts typically around mining nodes appear, requires restart to fix
4. Telling a miner to switch nodes within the same system causes the miner to warp to a different system, requires restart to fix

One way to fix some bugs is to clear the localization in the general settings and after doing that close the game down and wait one minute for processing then reopen. Been working for my team on server 88 nicely.

I was actually in the habit of making it worse by clearing localization till it worked... hint... it never worked, only made it worse because I was impatient and would keep doing it thinking it would fix it, sure it can fix certain issues but it more likely to create more or make things worse if anything. The key is to close app after and wait one minute for the game to process that localization clearing. That part is key! Ever since then poof, my team and I been bug free for the most part.
