Yes, I am aware that we have already been told there won't be a store for them, etc.

Yes, I am also aware that they are (currently) purely for tracking for the leaderboard for a real-world prize grab.

However I am also aware that you have rolled this event out worldwide, but "Open to players OPS Level 15+ in the US (excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. territories and possessions), Canada (excluding Quebec), Germany, France, and the UK (excluding Northern Ireland)." - this is SO exclusive it's shameful.

Ultimately, there are many players who aren't even eligible to receive prizes in this event, so why not do something for them, and make the tokens redeemable in-game? Otherwise it's just another random inventory item that sits doing nothing...

Yes of course it has - I'm acutely aware that gambling laws etc. vary from region to region, and so certain areas will need to be excluded. I'm also aware that the logistics of shipping prizes to certain destinations (IOR, Duties, Taxes, etc.) can complicate things.

I'm not suggesting that should change (although, when we shipped out giveaways and prizes after GamesCom in Koeln each year, we were able to reach wider than that without much difficulty)

What I AM suggesting, is that based on the amount of people asking "what do I do with these things?" coupled with the exclusive nature of the real-world event, perhaps some thought should be given to doing something constructive with them in-game...

Don't get me wrong - I think it's great that (some) folks will be able to claim real-world prizes from an in-game event, and I applaud the effort that has gone into bridging that gap, long may it continue. I'm just not sure the approach is 100% "there" yet.

Can we please get some updated primes in the ferengi store. Part of the reason a lot of us miss the end of arc event stores was because they were getting refreshed every once in awehile. Besides some officers, i dont think we are getting enough new materials in these shops, which just makes the store real boring. The event with the First Contact Relics feels kind of gross. I get that you essentially snuck a contest into the game but the limited capacity to decide whether or not to participate and thus be bound by your legal agreement is troubling. It feels pretty shady. Beyond that, it goes against the whole, earn your rewards thing that was supposedly the purpose of recent changes to the event design in the game.

bad enough with tech tuesday wanting 10 q's trials or 100 hostile kills, but to add it to the first contact day event too, you do remember we only get to do 3 trials a day , if lucky can once in a while get 5, but at the same time, the ferengi whip does not give out trial bells as has been reported many many times, it use to give out and used to give out the max with only a gap of a few days between using them up and getting more, but for months now it don't give out at all, some form of scamming rigging preventing it giving out because goes against the odds of odds to not give out at all, so more scopely theft, as if it costs you anything to let it give out the 3k bells, not a cost at all, all these different hostile hunts is no quality of life at all, just yet more grinds that no one really wants to keep on doing all day long

If you tried them previously, it may have gave the rewards but not played the animation in game, so you'll need to contact support to check if it redeemed or not. Lower ops got a voucher to use in the event store, mid ops got observatory building mats, higher ops got maverick research material and dive bar bulding mats

The "riddles" are dumb in the egg event. I don't mean that they suck as riddles, but they do, but I mean the event is dumb. Why not actually hide things in systems for people to find like a real egg hunt?

If you wanted to make a real QOL improvement and balance the progression across factions you'd either give sigma trit in ALL choice token packs OR change the critical resource needed for upgrading ships to match the resources in the choice packs. It's absolutely asinine that I have to pull crystal packs to upgrade my enterprise then convert, at a loss, the crystal to gas. Same if I'd gone with a Scimitar. This is just really, really bad game design that had persisted across multiple generations.

I thought the same but trust me. An alarming percentage of my alliance can’t figure out the clues. I said to someone “really? You’ve been looking at the map every day for how long and you don’t know which faction is blue or red?
The other clue “hidden” in Officer Depot tokens seems to be stumping people as well. Not a good look for the player base.

@icy mural So we use to have 2 of the events per week and I would by a pack for each, now they will have it twice a month to slow progress, So upgrading the Vengeance will now be slower but at twice a month I will not need to buy any packs or only 2 a month instead of 8. They did not like the fact that we could do both the Saturday Spend event and the Vengeance is mine at the same time. Gonna hurt them in the long run becuase people will buy less packs to upgrade the ship.

It’s pretty insane that scopely is going to ruin alliance tournaments by changing the refresh tokens. Just because they allowed people to hoard too many, I’m assuming.
With all that’s wrong with the game, they choose to focus on this, it’s pathetic.
Maybe do some quality of life improvements? It shouldn’t take me more than 30 min each morning to collect all my chests.
Maybe fix or sunset arenas?
Instead they’re messing with alliance tournaments, something that’s largely quite rewarding and fun.

are you really expecting people to drop $500 in total for that full unlock?? ($100 for the elite pass then $400 on the extra tokens)

It gives some wiggle room so we do not have to complete every day of the arc to get the overflow rewards. It's just not only those two officers shards. If you had timed it right you could had easily finished a couple of events by grinding those hostiles yesterday/today. Hence why many of us still went for it even some of us had to kill 400-1000 hostiles to finish it.

Waves are incredibly broken. 4 G6 players with speed crews that have been running waves since release could barely complete all 10 waves in a lvl 50 because of lag, frozen ships, hostiles not despawning, kirshara glitches, and general bugginess. Given that all events these days just seem to be "spend every material you have as fast as possible", as well as the declining quality of everything, the garbage rewards, and the complete lack of interest in making the game even remotely playable without ridiculous lag and super long load screens, every indication and feeling leads towards winding down for shutdown. Really makes it hard to motivate anyone to spend. People have given you hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands or more in some cases, and in return we've gotten a product that's continued to get worse every single month for 7 years while everything in it continues to get more expensive. What a joke.

Yep. I have been here from almost the start, and I have seen the game go from good to barely functioning. I would just call it a day, but I know the game is close to its end, so my morbid curiosity will see this through. The game stopped being fun the moment they kept cramming more currency and different factions our way, as well as events that take hours to complete. It takes me nearly an hour just to open all my chests every day. That's ridiculous in itself. Other games have an open all button that takes 20 seconds to open everything. I usually only log on a couple times a day now, just to open chests and get events done. Then, it's off to doing better things. Thanks, Scopely, for ruining a fun game.

First contact recruit season pass: Looking at the season pass and recruit rewards not including the slbs even if I bought the $99 pack I would only be able to get 20k crash and burn jukebox tokens leaving 40k needed for a pull.

1. Is the other 40k in the slbs ?
2. If even buying the elite pass wouldn’t get enough do a single pull it’s wasted effort.

The outpost pass doesnt require attacking outposts. Its actually far quicker to just farm the hostiles of your choice.

Why is Incursions now limited to 12 hours (and after a botched/canceled incursions)? For players like me who are free primarily--or only--late at night, the strangely abbreviated Incursions event means little or even no opportunity to participate. What is the justification for this massive change?

well I know last month incursions couldn't even run properly for the 12hr duration people got stuck in limbo when trying to transfer servers and they couldn't even fix that before a different region was about to start their round of incursions. As for this one I'm not worried something is gonna go wrong again because it's a day that ends in y because scopley messes up way too often to ever be considered working as intended anymore.

But that's the point, it's not the outpost pass but the outpost meta one which requires you to defeat outpost retaliation hostiles. And with the current bugs you have to punch down (potentially a lot), wasting directives and severly gimping your plunder income just to do some random outpost event they added KNOWING FULL WELL it's currently not working properly. So unless they added regular hostile scoring to this (and they 100% will just copy paste the previous event so it wont happen), it's going to be a mess

No. Cota was accidentally great so they nerfed it. DTI was accidentally great so they tried to nerf it. Gaila was accidentally great so they nerfed her. They accidentally release packs at the wrong price or with inflated content. TroiE was accident great. Sisko was just accidentally great. It's completely sense free. One's progress is relying on keeping key aspects updated which involves ship improvements, and is needed for the events we shall pass.
The challenge format we had twice? before with several tasks over for example such an interim interval has been a far better option. And I don't have to mention that people have a real life, so like @stable bronze they can deliver at the times that suit them best
