it's very dated content most people have outgrown. Maybe still beneficial for newer servers but older servers didn't have a lot of reason to do it even when it was still running. what part of it do you miss?

For me personally, Return of the Mega Cubes was my only source for many of the borg officers. Since I’m permanently camping at ops 14, those officers are now simply unattainable.

I honestly had the impression Return of the Mega Cubes was more important to players of all levels, so it seemed appropriate to make an appeal on behalf of everyone to reinstate the event. An alternative plea to Scopely: At least make an official announcement if the Cubes event is indeed never going to return.

Personally, i hate PvP in this game, and therefore I hate incursions. That being said, even I have to admit the new rules dont make sense given what an incursion is supposed to be. Might as well not run them at all if scoring ia going to lean hard on PvE instead of PvP.

this game doesn't do pvp right. don't get me wrong it has battles against other players but the range is way to broad even with the new metrics for range its still to wide. You have to be at the top end of your ops range for ship power crew teirs and everything inbetween to be able to take the average player who is at the top end of the range bracket. So many other games has different ranges for pvp and some work some don't. Unfortunately scopley had their version of pvp so long that I really don't think anything they do will fix the sour taste in most players mouth that has gone on for so long. They made pvp in this game for the whales considering anytime a ftp gets close to making a difference against the powerful something gets nerfed or new officers or primes come out which means ya gotta pay to stay relevant in pvp.

given the way ranking up and down in the alliance tournaments goes, it seems that some alliances will be forever stuck in one bracket. we've been in the top 10 for nearly every tournament, yet the top 3 have a much higher # of points than anyone who doesn't get promoted.

I think the point is that you don't do these because the individual rewards are good. You do them to complete them for the meta, which has store tokens or points towards one of the season passes.

What a horrible Solo task, those milestones and point scoring is crazy high. especially when you still do not have the Maverick Task Key claim reset at the same time as the tasks!

Scopely support thinks I havent progressed enough to see subspace relays in the quarks special buildings tab. I literally saw it last time the event came around. Im ops 42 and my alliance mate is 35 and they see them?? I dont even know what that means when they tell me I need to "progress in the game more"??? HUH?

On top of that missed out on the rewards from the lucky break recruit event. There was no SLB available to me. Theyre still investigating the issue while the event has already ended.

Having 3 hostile ranges in 1 system is stupid. It makes 1/3 inefficient, 1/3 a death sentance, leaving 1/3 of hostiles actually useful.

Eventually the high level hostiles only reman, leaving half a dozen people sitting there waiting for respawns

Why oh why? Last time there was a lvl 69 system with only lvl 69 hostiles and same thing with the lvl 70.... Why change it and have lvl 68-69-70 in the same system? The grind is already awful and now players that want and can hit the 69 or the 70 need to hit down and chase around specific hostile lvl or below. It is amazing how much Scopely seem to be getting out of their ways to get players angry...

it's amazing you managed to make the vger event even worse than it was before, all under promise of making it better. Any positive change was immediately negated by a negative one. Lower the store price - but make them harder to kill, make artifact shard guaranteed - lower the shards amount. And increasing the event milestones is just a cherry on top, not even mentioning mixing hostile levels in one system. I was one of few who participated last time, probably won't bother the second day now.

People dont have the time for it on top of all the other grinding we have to do to feed all the various refineries and faction stores, and that's before adding real life into the equation.

Ok, now i am really fed up with that echos of vger event. What the hell are you thinking how this should works as an ops51 player? With somw effort i can kill ONE 51 in a HAZARD system. VGER event completely terrible. Not only did we just lazily shift down the HP values of the hostiles that previously belonged to the level above we changed the system for 71s so now if we even wanted to waste the time we have to slog through 70s and avoid the minefield of 72s to even try. As always a complete lack of awareness and caring.

Once again, 9 people in my alliance even tried VGER event and it once again looks like no one in our server will even get to the AMS. “We listened and made some changes”…. Clearly not. Changes would mean that it would take a lot less than 27 hours a day to complete the event (down from 28). Everyone likes a challenge but not a hopeless cause. This will simply be an event that sits in the event tab affectionately referred to as “Nope”.

This CotA is a big slap in the face to the community. First, you tell us you are cancelling it, then you announce 1 last CotA after most of us stopped hoarding (slowing our progression) of the specialty materials (buildings/ships) and artifact upgrades that we use to score in the events. Scopley, you really do not give a crap about the player base. People are quitting everyday because you continue to ignore us.
The game is just bug ridden, lagging with a time sucking/crashing UI.
Your player base is shrinking by the way if you hadn't noticed.

-Hostiles were not meaningfully re-adjusted with any sort of consideration. They literally just shifted the values down that were previously used for the higher hostiles from the last run. This led to each one having approximately double the SHP/HHP which meant even with a high Tier 70 Epic ship and Surge Researches done hitting level appropriate hostiles became a massive waste of time and resources.

-Mixed systems. Even if, for some reason, you wanted to waste your time and resources hitting a few at a time per hull, moving hostiles into mixed systems instead of having the dedicated systems for each hostile level meant an even further waste of time and resources. Instead of being able to do the already substantial slog in a system of 71s, now we had to waste time and hull on hitting 70s for less points, avoiding the minefield of 72s, and compete for the few 71s with Ops 72/73s who were punching down for the same reasons above.

-"Punch down" mechanics are fine but requiring multiple hundreds of hostiles fighting against all of the above, again, just have no respect for the player's time and experience.

And of course I cant lookup his level but im assuming 35. The brackets are very disproportionately spaced for these events, more than once have I encountered this at this level, and im the most 'powerful 31' on my server. What gives ?

No surprise that Scopely screwed up the new incursions so bad they have to put up gold shields in both APAC and EU. I for one am not spending money on this dumpster fire of a game unless they add raiding back into scoring. It's ok to add things to events but it's not ok to completely change how one of only 2 regularly scheduled pvp events work by removing the main way it was scored. Arena and Incursions are two of the main events that keep me playing the game and both have major issues atm. You can tell by the generous packs and heroic events this week that they aren't hitting their sales numbers at the moment and with today's screw up they will continue the decline.

Incursions can be great fun and I’ve been playing it since I was g3 getting scooped by novas lol. But regardless of the server transfer issues and the fact that 99% of the scoring did not, indeed, score for the main event, I did play a fair chunk of it today and can tell you this change ain’t it. I get the feedback about blah blah one base can win or lose the whole thing but spamming armadas all day (esp in limited systems with slow respawn and for some hazard death) is not an engaging pvp event, The old incursions style, everyone could engage with in whatever way they wanted and everyone could contribute if they wanted to. This style basically locks the entire event behind who has directives. Bring back the old incursions, this experiment failed and no one who actually got to participate enjoyed it at all.

So, after the Incursion failed with the transition issue, but it was still there for hours...
There still were two events in the event group that worked, and counted points: the Research and Ship XP events!
We were spending a lot of currencies for those events that worked. We planned beforehand, haven't finished ship upgrading, for example...
Even after the Incursion main transfer event disappeared, AND the cancellation announcement, the event group was still there with the two, not problematic events counting our points... It seemed that those would just finish as planned. Seemed little as comfort, but better than nothing.
Even if it was not planned to wait for the original finishing time – HOW could those just disappear? Without results, reward or anything? As it was never there, as we didn't do anything for those?
How can a failed Incursion event cancellation make things even worse with the way it's done, somehow fail and disappoint the players even more?
I couldn't be more disappointed. Failing an event technically is one thing. But this is not like that, that's a decision without considering players' efforts, which is completely different.
Give the players the results and rewards what they certainly DID what the event said! I'm sure the last points are available to do so. That's the bare minimum in my opinion.

The last two arcs have basically bottomed out in quality especially considering the rewards. The power creep from the arcs before that is nuts. As one who took four months off and came back, there is a majorly compromised gameplay experience, ie I’ve never see persistent lag like this, the login issues are a relatively new but acute and intractable issue and the “arc” theme that once existed seems to have just been replaced by “buy this ship and you can engage with the bare minimum of this arc and decide if it’s good.”

I and many others have been on auto pilot for some time. I would venture most of the serious gamers in my alliance stay due to friendships and not out of any sense of enjoyment from these monotonous ever expanding loops of labor.

They need to take a couple of months any focus on ONLY quality of life enhancements for gameplay. They won’t. But they should.

I was just able to reconnect now and I completely lost the Chronicle of the Ascendant event. I was 2nd place total and 3rd place in todays event this morning at 8:59, many armadas still to do, I'm able to reconnect now, event finished, 11th place (which is the same as 25th!!!!!!!) and event completely blown off. Faction hunt not scoring correctly. Hitting 50 ships at lvl 62 should be enough for me to complete event for a faction. I've hit 75 and still haven't finished. I've also been hitting lvl 63 and 64 ships. This game is becoming more and more unplayable

The events are all a boring chore, even when the game isn't broken. No one even reads the stories and plotlines, which are irrelevant to the gameplay after arc day 1. I will definitely say events / tasks like this is are pushing people into mega alliances. It feels strange because it’s anti-competitive in a way. I get one point per kill and the alliance needs 176K. As a daily player ( fresh 57) this makes me unmotivated to even try ( great mechanic ). legit zero chance with no whales. Take the Mada event. If you had 105 members ( I think largest possible alliance ), they would need to run 32 armadas a week at the lowest level to complete. They are really punishing the players ( points wise and moral wise ). Considering that almost 1/2 the game is g4 or less. We all know who this was designed for. Catering to the top. I spent all morning watching an SLB I had a comfortable lead on. The guy behind me had the same score every time I looked (2.180B), no changes whatsoever. The event ends, and I get 2nd place.

I go into Events to view the final results, and it STILL shows me in first place, with his score unchanged...and then I see it update to show his new score above mine.

If you can't get leaderboards to update in real time while the event is actually happening, don't run leaderboard events, you befuddled potatoes.

This is a truly awful change. From COTA and consistent vengeance events during spend events to the old boring recruit events and no overlap.

For anyone in g7 this is actually one of the biggest nerfs in value we’ve ever seen. It’s not obvious yet to anyone who doesn’t read the patch notes right away or pay full attention, but this will be hitting players in the gut for a while.

That they chose TODAY to launch some sad attempt to get us to coerce players who left in frustration to return is just incredibly tone deaf.

The game is lagging 24/7 like never before, you just nerfed a ton of value for us out of sheer greed, and you pick NOW to launch this? What a dumb company.

I’m used to some of the content being off limits right away as f2p, but not all of it. Past arcs always let f2p participate even if it was pretty grind-y.

I’m feeling pretty burned, as are many in my alliance. It sounds like Scopely wants folks to come back to the game….this is not helping.

Hi Scopely. I'm hoping you can help with an issue that many players, including myself, are having. I am OPs 36, and according to the "Upgrade Voyager (Heroic) SMS" event, it wants us to score points by upgrading our Voyager.

The problem with this is that my Voyager has been stuck at T3, Level 12 because I have to be OPs 40+ in order to obtain a G4 Coaxial Warp Drive to progress my Voyager further. The fact of the matter is that there is no way I will be able to advance to OPs 40 quick enough in order to complete this event before the event ends. This is unfair, and needlessly punishes players by artificially preventing players from enjoying the game by participating in these events.

Please give players the opportunity to participate in the "Upgrade Voyager (Heroic) SMS" event who have Voyagers but they can't upgrade due to being OPs locked. One idea for a workaround would allow players, like myself, to participate in the "Upgrade Discovery (Heroic)" event. Currently, we are too high OPs level to participate in the Upgrade Discovery event, but too low OPs level to upgrade our Voyager further for the Voyager event.

Please help us feel included in the game, and not forgotten. Please help us be able to participate in these ship Upgrade events, because it really stinks that we are stuck in the middle and unable to enjoy the content you are giving us. Thank you for your consideration!

I have great research but am not a big spender.
I have managed to do the WOK, Aggregation & V'ger arcs with a bit of crew swapping and being persistent. Now I find that being persistent locks me out of the whole arc, meaning this is now just a do the basics to get resources and hope I can get involved in new content next arc.

Locking out a complete arc behind a pay to play ship for those at the entry level of the arc is unfair and demoralizing.

Also the new officers & building (from the first part of the arc) are completely pointless for the new hostiles.

Disappointing that there was no addition to the scoring metrics on the First Contact domination event. Only counting building and research is not player friendly. The Building and Research only scoring for Domination event template needs to be permanently retired

You can always build another ship to dump xp into, but if you've hit a building and research wall and can't move up, you up a creek

I think that's a pretty common issue with most giveaways though, right? It's not like the events are very hard to complete so the concept of making another account could already work in the existing leaderboard. I agree this wasnt well thought out by the developer, but at least this change might drive participation instead of what they have done where there isn't a reason to even worry about it.

Cannot believe they have reduced vengeance events, for players on the verge of quitting it is a great way to nudge them out the door. I truly don’t understand why popular events like this get taken away. When higher ups wonder why engagement is trending down, please wonder no more, it is decisions like this.

Vengeance BP's > new officer recruit, and its not really close. There hasn't been a good new officer in a long time. The Vengeance will be useful for quite a while in early (71-72-73) g7, which at this pace most free to play g7 players will be at for ~ 5+ years.

I saved for COTA each month and got the new officers (sometimes to t2 or even t3) just because, but honestly if I hadn't unlocked any of the new officers in the last 6+ months I don't think it would've mattered one bit. I miss COTA because it was a fun event to plan for. But I realized I don't miss it all that much in the end, because the reward wasn't really worth it anyway. Much like most of the game atm if I'm being honest...

The constant lag and constant nuking of player value hasn't made me care about anything stfc-related lately, but if I did I'd say prioritize the Vengeance sms/slb's (pick one and go ham on it each month) and skip the rest.

Even if we get new pvp officers soon, who cares? We really going to enjoy lag-fest pvp where my ship is somehow destroyed but also in warp but no its in dock ready to be repaired oh wait no I don't want to spend 4m lat to repair it oh nm my game crashed wow that was so much fun!!! lol 🤪

We already had 1 of the 2 to start the month, it was identical reward-wise to the previous ones. The real nuking of player value isn't just how often it runs, but the timing of them. Not having any overlap with the other times you want to spend your mats means you can't push both sms's without a big infusion of $$$. Something g7 players have done for 3+ months in a row before now.

Instead of finding new value to entice people to spend $, they just removed the value we were given for playing and expected us to now pay lots of $ for it. Wow what a deal!
