Instead of delete, how about allowing players to convert useless inventory into a reasonable amount of lat? Heck, Scopely could make a "quark's depot" building which allows more things tradable the higher the building level. Just make sure to let us trade things like arc event currency and all the other random tokens/one time items we've acquired from over the years too.

There you go Scopes, a win win, players get something we want, and you get something that whales will pay to max out on day one. That's what we call fairness (assuming the building doesn't take 3 years to max), unlike recent in-game developments.

Is there any particular reason the Dauntless's ability regularly targets hostiles that are no where near the closest? The description clearly says that's what it's supposed to be doing. As a programmer I could code something better in a day. Heck, I imagine there are probably bots that behave more efficiently and they have far less access to information about hostiles in the system. So in the end the only way you can compete is to spend real world cash.

It will RANDOMLY just drop it's next queued hostile or freeze altogether. This is WATCHING it in the system, trying to use it while looking elsewhere in the galaxy results in the ship taking a nice journey to the centre of the system without explanation...

If you're in the Veil and then have to mine gas (like this is how it is here) for your daily, it happens that you can't scan mines, whether there's a ship on them or not. It also happens that when you scan a mine, you end up in the galaxy view, which is always very funny. I absolutely agree with you and your people; there are too few G7 mines in the Veil and in your own system, but there are also far too few steel/tritanium/dill mines. You're probably thinking, "What is he talking about steel mines?" Wait until you're level 71, when a building costs almost 40 million Sigma Steel.

Always take SS of events like accession on its last stage, after reset. It has the potential to change rankings by drastic amounts when you only get one point per building or research. They dismiss tickets instantly when you catch this.

Reminder to Scopely of what so many have been saying: territory reset is awful and always has been. Skip it, let the AWS glitches settle... Then end it! The chips always fall back in place. Just annoying and otherwise boring.

Your officer depot tokens aren’t as valuable, as you might think. Giving (and even a very small amount) away to all the bigger leaderboards, that require an extremely high playtime to compete is straight up insulting. Not only do most of the people, that are able to compete, have most the officers already, but also the amount of tokens you pay out for even a 100$ mission is a massive joke to everyone involved. I’d rather have the syndicate exp for arc missions back, that was more valuable to me.

Hey all I’ve noticed that as I progress in lvls the rewards are not keeping up with me. Ex: the 7 & 30 day reward chest are not giving out any 5 ship parts everything is pretty much 3 & 4 mats and parts. Same with the rogue event stuff it’s pretty much useless and I’ve stopped participating. I’m lvl 58 and use all 5 ships can you guys address this issue please

the amount of Premium Mirror Dust obtainable via Alliance Tournaments is abysmal, 250 dust per claim with 5 claims per tournament is equal to 1250 dust per tournament. We had the syndicate xp event revoked after the expansion if above syndicate 55 and the lack of other comparable sourcing for this 1 year old research is pathetic. I engage in content but still have this much needed to max out the currency. I did all the redeems in arenas and only get 130/wk from xindeep event or 520/month but saying "its better than it was before" is a horrible take that some of the content creators are parroting when this research is diminishing every month but its still being paywalled like it was last year on launch. Please not only add MORE sourcing but INCREASE amounts so a player can actually do the research. All of my research is level 4+ so Alliance Tournaments doesnt even provide 1 research out of the 201 total researches cause i have 149 done which means i need 100k dust for the last 52 levels <@&509690795536941056>

Scopely is forcing players to create stronger alliances in power and in member number because it's useless to have small alliances with few players: they can not play arena, armadas, form. armadas, waves, Alliance Tournament, ALB events, Territory Capture and they can not get bonuses like Alliance Tournament Store.

In my server there are 115 alliances with one member: why?

You still run into the low number caps of players per alliance, and alliances that are permitted to be in Master league at one time.
Scopely say they want to encourage progression in the game, and yet put Officer Badges (a major bottleneck for officer progression) behind a wall that most players won't surpass, and where many of those who have no longer have the same degree of need.
Does everything need to be available to everyone? Of course not, but this was one (monthly) method of Scopely being able to demonstrate that they were actually serious about their messaging.

This happens because players, in general (not me, you, him or someone else, in general), have lost the knowledge of the game, the Know How. Some examples:

if John Doe wants to level up at level 42 today to unlock Kelvin because he knows he needs it and if he has not it he can not play, he must start to level up at least 75 days in advance because without ship blueprints from hostile chests he needs 150 days to unlock it starting from today at level 42, 75 days in advance to stock federation credits/material and to have enough time to stock missing credits and materials...but John Doe does not care about it, he levels up and then he complains.

if John Doe wants to get items from AT Store to unlock it ASAP he must join an alliance and start to play some alliance tasks such as play Territory Capture or play ALB events or play AT tasks to score as many points as he can.

John Doe and everybody knows how difficult leaderboards are progressively but not everyone plays to mitigate this difficulty, someone mitigates and someone complains.

So from my perspektive only very new server, very small alliances or players who do not communicate may need them. Could be wrong but this does not seem like most players to me.

Most likely our server didn't even exist when you were locked at G4. It is only logical to assume, that you had way less competition back then than we do now, because everyone was at lower levels and it is much easier to stay in a league than to advance to it. I am pulling 150k points every AT without spending money, too, but there are not enough refresh tokens and f2p tasks in the world, to do that with more than 3 or 4 people. Most of the 10k tasks are behind a paywall. And 4 people with 150k are not even close to what you need to advance to master league nowadays.

Why Selling Packs with Primordial Plasma Will Kill the New Surge Feature in STFC

The new Surge feature in Star Trek Fleet Command was designed to bring excitement, competition, and engagement back to the game. It’s meant to reward activity, coordination, and effort — not just spending. The core idea is simple: earn valuable new materials like Primordial Plasma through gameplay challenges, not through your wallet.

However, if Scopely starts selling packs containing Primordial Plasma, the entire system collapses. Here’s why:

1. It Undermines the Core Purpose of Surge

Surge was promoted as a skill and participation-based feature — something to reignite competition among active players and alliances. The moment Plasma becomes purchasable, Surge stops being about strategy or teamwork and becomes another pay-to-win mechanic.
Players who spend will instantly gain the advantage, making the feature pointless for anyone trying to earn rewards through gameplay alone.

2. It Destroys the Value of Effort

Right now, earning Primordial Plasma feels meaningful because it’s scarce and tied to engagement. Selling it in packs removes that sense of accomplishment. Why grind or coordinate alliance efforts when someone can swipe a card and instantly outpace everyone?
Players who put in hours of gameplay will feel devalued, and frustration will replace motivation.

3. It Kills Long-Term Engagement

Surge is supposed to be a long-term progression system — something players look forward to every cycle. But if whales can buy everything day one, the feature burns out fast. Without a balance between earnable and purchasable progression, the novelty fades, participation drops, and the game loses the very engagement Surge was built to inspire.

4. It Worsens the Divide Between Spenders and F2P/Low-Spenders

STFC already walks a fine line between free and paying players. Selling Plasma widens that gap dramatically.
Surge was an opportunity to give everyone — regardless of wallet size — a fair shot at progress through gameplay. Turning it into another monetized resource pushes more players away, especially the mid-tier and loyal free players who make up the bulk of the community.

5. It Hurts the Economy and Future Content

Every time Scopely shortcuts new content by adding it to packs, it destabilizes the in-game economy.

202 has only just ascended to G6, we have ZERO ops 70 players, and yet just recieved G7 ascension and announced merger with 199.

202 has not even had an incursion. We have been rushed from G6 to G7 in a matter of weeks.

The operations levels between players on Server 202 and Server 199 show a stark imbalance. Players on Server 199 are significantly higher, which will result in an uneven playing field. With the merge, players from Server 202 will face challenges that they are not equipped to handle due to this disparity.

Server 202 has developed a vibrant and supportive community. Players have fostered friendships and rivalries that make the gaming experience unique. A merge would disrupt these bonds and potentially dissipate what makes this community special.

The smaller alliances and players will be unable to compete, causing them to be dominated and likely quit the game.

Just to throw it out there, they’re literally giving away free things for doing nothing (extra), with the new battle passes. All events have been synergized so far. Mine, kill hostiles, whatever, you complete THREE events for THREE battle passes that all have free tracks.

There are plenty of valid complaints with decisions they make, but blanket “boo all the battle passes!” Is the definition of shooting yourself in the foot. They take away pass and free track, no more free goodies. Just accept the free stuff and ignore the pack of the elite track 🤷‍♂️

My alliance has 86 members out of the max 106 people allowed. About 85% complete they're three tasks daily and we are usually ranked between 7th and 9th. It's the group effort that keeps you in master league, not how much cash you throw at it.

And that’s the point. Masters is gated so much, that to further gate so many store option to masters only is an incredible disservice to the broader player base who will NEVER see those store options. Or only super infrequently if they get lucky bracketing

Both TC and AT are excluding. And will always exclude, 70-80% of the player base. Arenas is even worse. That is more like 90%.

As I had said, I had hoarded and was prepped for the Tournament, that isn’t the problem. It’s like ArchKnight said, it’s the rerolls. 50 rerolls and not a single doable FTP 10K. That’s not misfortune, that’s by the design of Scopely, who’s business model IS frustration so players will is broken and they pony up cash.

They deliberately diluted the pool so as to make it far less likely that FTP players would get what they wanted.

I work in the betting industry, I know odds and probability and I’m calling Scopely out. Their “RNG” isn’t and would be illegal under UK betting law and will almost certainly fall foul of the upcoming EU rules being discussed regarding loot boxes.

My fleet is a bunch of casuals, couple of decent dolphins/former dolphins (this guy) who carry a whole bunch of f2p. Mostly because we ain’t got time for the bs drama that always ensues.

So one of the task I do everytime I log on is “reroll” the 10k till something comes up that I know my f2p can use before I log out.

Which means I do a LOT of rerolling. And would say I have quantified data points if I were to have logged the literally thousands of times I have rerolled.

The Tournaments are now my least favorite thing to do. 6*, 7*, Protomatter, Temporal, and Multiphasic Credits have come up more than anything. I re-rolled over 30 times and only got theses items. Deffinantly geared toward paying. No problem plenty of other things to do. Back to grinding.

Scopely, how bad is it that G7 players are managing to find a few ways to cope with/fix some of the node issues in the Veil that your team are failing to fix? Nodes that kick you back out to the Galaxy, nodes that spin and don't let you action them. Nodes that have ghost ships, that kick your ship back home. Nodes that don't show ships mining on them. Nodes that register as UNKNOWN and might or might not have a ship on them mining. It's the wild west out there, and you have done NOTHING to fix this. It's appalling. If we can find some get arounds to try and do our mining dailies, then surely you can come up with a proper fix so we don't have to fix it with duct tape and a rubber band??

Once you have 5k, the f2p claims in the game will not allow you to get more. You can buy packs that give more than that limit though.

I've debated posting this. The team aren't going to know the gripes vs. the management don't give a damn plays out ad infinitum, but the vain hope that someone, somewhere pays attention, and my flailing optimism, have prevailed.

Your game is broken. It is clear, from an objective point of view, that it has been marked for retirement and is now in the stage where it is milking revenue from those with far more money than sense. Promises of doing better are empty.

I'm a level 60 player. I used to spend regularly and own the majority of ships. More recently, I have cut back to the point were I am entirely F2P. There is no incentive for me to spend. There's barely any incentive for me to log in, and even the sunk cost fallacy is currently wobbling.

One of the key problems are 'walls'. It hit during the whole Transogen cycle. There were so many hurdles to try and attain the basic level of participation - there was the oldest barrier, dark space, then hazard space, and overpowered auto-attackers, and then awful mining rates. All of these were barriers to basic participation, but it was seen as a "good thing" by the development team.

Then there is the sheer complexity. I need to spend hours understanding the multivarious mechanisms to gameplay. I want to be able to engage with content without requiring night classes to learn how it's done.

But therein lies the crux of the problem - it's the bloat. It's the full time job required to complete all of the daily activities. It's the 1,700 currencies and the reliance on Spocks Club to make sense of them.

And Scopely's remedy? It isn't to streamline, simplify, or backtrack - it's to double down. It's to add more mechanisms, currencies, and complexity. When I log in now, I just see a mountain of tasks that I'll never fulfil. I see once-promising things (Starbases, Archives, etc.) wasting away. I see perfectly good mechanics replaced with barriers to participation.

And I just don't give a damn enough to log in.

So I'm not trying to be a complainer here but, So many things are not getting done or are poorly done its fast approaching Ludacris.
We have heard from Scopley leaders for years now things like, "Quality over Quantity" And more recently the GM video promised positive changes in game.
Its either Scopley can't do what it promises or won't do what it promises.
Every part of this game reflects directly on the Scopley business. If I were in a leadership role in Scopley I would be ashamed at the job being done.
For me, I am only playing this game because of the people I have met and interact with while playing. I would have left years ago if not for them.
I stopped spending my hard earned cash on this game easily 3 years ago. Scopley doesn't deserve it. If you want to provide a service and keep your player base then provide a service that works.
Its become the running joke amongst my players what game related content won't work for the next event. We have small betting pools on weather a new ARC will even work.
This game has so much promise but is being poorly managed and operated by people who don't care.

There is currently a known issue out about the Alliance tournaments. One that I am a part of. The fact the store has downgraded and will no doubt be closed before a fix is found is annoying at best. The fact is was basically broken at the start shows a complete lack of testing that we have come to expect from Scopely. So calling it smooth running shows how little the majority are starting to expect of the game.

There are other alliances effected by this and wrongly demoted in the past. They could write whatever they want but never get a fix or compensation. Now ... it is a Know Issue. Sorry, but that's ... disappointing for all those who were affected in the past.

Yes. They always need at least one maintenance to fix the previous maintenance. Not uncommon to have 3 or 4 in close succession these days.

We do maintance from the maintance to do maintance.....maintance is so fine we do it everytime.
