Last times alliance tournament ran It always bugged and only allowed me to do 2/3 silly events. Today waves didn’t score. That is valid feedback, it’s also critical nothing positive about it. How can you fix it if you don’t listen to people? If you think this is a quality product then you obviously have never played it.

I would really love an arc that revisited the biggest parts of old arcs and resolved all the bugs introduced in that arc. The pink squares, zombie hostiles, transfigured Mudd, heck even the warp recall limbo. It could low-key fix everything that we've been asking be fixed, while still generating revenue.

It could unviel an old event currency trade-in building (transport patters or faction credits, maybe?)

the help system is broken, it's an absolute nightmare to try and put in a ticket. The only thing good about it is it's so entirely painful to use you don't even try because you know that the person on the other side is just going to say no anyway.

This month has been the best of 2024- by far. Independent archives, free epic officer unlock, choice of materials, rewarding events,. If players are complaining, then perhaps they should consider finding a game that provides more fun and less frustration.

I really appreciate the improved UI for rerolling tasks, having a clear indicator that a task is being rerolled and for the new task is a good improvement. However, rerolls still need to be faster. And I am tired of rerolling into tasks outside of my ops range. It feels scummy when my 12 free rerolls just get me Ex-Borg credit tasks at ops 33. Finally, just like how there are some slots guaranteed to have 10k acquire tasks, there needs to be some slots guaranteed to have 5k hostile hunting tasks. These are some of the only tasks lower level ops can do, but the first 12 slots often get flooded by armada and ex-borg tasks, and rerolling into a hostile hunt of the appropriate level can be rough, eventually causing the lower ops members to just give up on trying to help.

How does it make sense? Requirements for the rare FKR research are being ops51 and a research which ask for being ops61... And this also breaks the whole research chain from rare to epic for lvl 7-8.

@tidal notch @raw fiber improvement suggestion for alliance internal communication: a 'message all' function, at least for higher leadership.
It would immensely help for reminding everyone about events like Alliances Tournament or Incursions.
Also, giving more ingame notification about the Tournament would be very helpful (bright flashing lights ^^ targeting it, maybe a joint event about it, like scoring 1 point per task done?).
Many players seem to miss the thing entirely.

answering now to this as was only post talking about tournament pairings., even i think that lvl is not much an issue, even less to quit for it, as many tasks may be for 60s you can skip them (more than that, is a must to skip those that doesn't fit with your lvl, while you have tokens), my problem is though, that we a 30 member alliance, have been paired with some 50s but mostly with 90 member alliances, that obviously make us impossible to get a good score depending on active players as each can do 3 tasks/day only

@tidal notch Hi there. I have a suggestion to make for a better playability of the alliance tournament. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for some members to accept a task, but then not finish it and block this task for hours. Therefore, as an admiral of an alliance, it would be good to know who is doing what task. Ideally also how long (otherwise you have to do the math yourself. That would also work). It would be great if you could integrate this into the system like this. Alternatively, it would also be possible for everyone to be able to see this. In any case, the way it is now, it is difficult to play, as you have hardly any influence possible. I hope that the translator has done a reasonably good job, that you also understand what I'm talking about. 😉

My idea is that all tasks should always be up, but if a task is being done by someone it greys out and has that persons name below it. I know they worry about reroll packs not being bought, but i bet that spenders would be more willing to buy packs to finish the 10k events if they knew that they would be available.
Worst case, having tasks that are in progress show up with the persons name on it would at least help keep us from blowing all our reroll tokens trying to get a task that isnt even available right now....

Yes.. is an alternative option. I admit that. However, it would be more important to me to know who behaves in such an uncollegial and ultimately alliance-damaging way when he "blocks" tasks for hours just because he may have overdone himself. Then you could at least influence these players as an admiral. At the moment, at best, one can guess who is blocking the recording of corresponding tasks for others for so long.

Has anyone ever found an explanation for the awful lag in this game?
It's been dreadful for as long as I remember. There's an obvious memory hole / leak somewhere in the code as after 20 / 30 min playing, it starts to chug. But recently, since an update, waves has been terrible, there's a large, noticable gap between pressing a button and a ship responding now. Half the time you attack a hostile, the ship doesn't 'release' after for a couple of seconds and most of the time you can't attack another hostile without de-clicking then re-clicking.
The cube has been bad since it came in, but most battle ships seem the same now, where they don't move on the screen and seem to attack things from half way across a system. Scopely do you not realise how bad this affects real time pvp scenarios like arena? You're trying to avoid a ship and it turns out it isn't actually where you can see that it is?!?!
The whole game feels a total mess right now and update after update it is either not fixed, or actually made worse. The lag about half way into a wave makes it feel nasty to play, I have to restart the game on my PC after every single one.
Has there been any word from Scopely to say they're working on it or at least aware of it? (other than this Reddis labs thing, who, judging by the continued lag, I wouldn't pay with buttons)

<@&509690795536941056> - Alliance Tournaments are still so disappointing, and frankly pointless.

There seems to be no middle ground between buying a £100 pack per 10,000 task, or spending hours grinding hostiles if you're an F2P player for the 750-3000 tasks. The 10,000 tasks refresh 90% of the time back to the same bunch:

• Acquire 7000 galaxy tokens
• Acquire 225,000 Syndicate XP
• Acquire thousands of directives
• Spend thousands of directives
• Acquire G6 materials
• Acquire thousands of commander materials

It's just so ridiculously unbalanced, and there's very little way for any player not willing to spend easily over a thousand pounds across the 5 day event to make any real contribution to the event as a whole for the alliance. Those players are also then penalised for not spending real money, by not being rewarded with additional tournament store credits, and the only tasks within some level of reach only award 165/330 - compared to the 4400 given out by the 10,000 tasks.

I'm not asking you to give out the credits for nothing, the game still has to give some incentive to spend, but this isn't it. At least offer cheaper packs that will finish tasks, make some of the tasks much more reasonable by reducing the grind, or put events alongside it to bring players who don't have thousands in disposable income the motivation and the ability to make a more significant contribution. Otherwise, there's really no point in participating 🤷

There is no indicator or info when the refresh for abandonend tasks will happen. Takes from a few seconds to some clicking around trying to find something that triggers it up to no refresh after 5 Minutes or more + several restarts.

Defeat 12 Rare Dominion Armadas is also a 10k task which, depending on your overall hoarding ability, is very doable for players over level 40. There is also the defeat 4 rare for 4k points that gives a decent amount of store credit.
Of course, they went and added "with Temporal Conduit Chaos Tech" to the Defeat Epic Solo armada task so that is now pay only.

i think the main problem is, you cant tell if tasks are unavailable due to someone else having them, the get 6k uncommon exborg is doable if you saved nxo1 turn ins, the epic borg and epic dominion armada are doable if you save the turn ins for them. the get 55k protomatter is doable if you have a ton of bells which you will once you are done with exborg favors and the nx01 and start getting bells there daily (or from the whip)

I completed 15/15 task and ended up with 148000 pts, not a penny spent toward task. I planned and hoarded currency for several different 10k task and kept rerolling to get what I needed. while not ideal its possible f2p to do the same.

Please find a better place for the news tab. Directly on top of the alliance helps button is effective, but when it is impossible to get rid of even when clicking thru the news and videos multiple times that’s a problem. Cleared localization…still doesn’t go away.

Is it the Faction dailies asking you to hit 34s? If it is, it's because you've increased your Faction rep too high for your ops level.
As for Swarms, have you built the Franklin, which is the Swarm specialty ships?

Some thoughts for tournament store:

1. if you're only going to run tournaments quarterly (or whatever it was between these last two), please consider removing the claim limits. Players are being forced to wait way too long for content. If they've earned the necessary credits to fully claim something, thay should be enough.

2. Add older content such as weapon skins, refits (like salvager, terror, ent d for g3 ent, etc). These items are outdated, and not worth pay to obtain options only. People like to collect, so let them collect some of these past items.

3. Add the unique ship parts such as the feesha warp core. The only other sourcing for these is arc stores, and personally I'm never gonna waste those credits of these items.

4. remove items which the player has already unlocked. For example, FTs since they cannot be duplicated.

I probably hit the 2k daily limit because i just realized i did a gorn hunt for absolutely nothing. Our alliance was demoted from expert to adept at the end of the first tournament (despite finishing in 3rd) and every ticket has been closed with "yes. You're alliance was demoted." After finally making some headway with getting anybody to look closer at the problem, our alliance somehow ended up in 4 or 5 different leagues at the same time (including expert) during this tournament, and at the end of it, despite a 5th place expert league finish, nobody in our alliance received expert league rewards, instead being given apprentice league rewards.

Honestly, the game is it's own worst enemy. There are so many events, so many grinds, it's become a full time job to people who want to play at any level other than being a farm. The archives was a first good step, but you want everyone post ops40 asap but it's 6 months of research from 35-40 + a year of prep work. a few older players may get salty, but 100 day grinds for voyager/defiant aren't helping. Most people aren't spending $100 for a 1/4 unlock either. make $10-20 packages worth it, streamline the stuff from 5 years ago and worry less about the new thing everyone must buy because what, 2-3% of your playerbase max spend that

I play as a cadet on one server but as an Ops Level 33 on another. I want to offer a suggestion for Scopeley. There is no incentive to do Lat rush if you have no hope of coming 3rd or above. The prizes suck from 4th on down, but you can work just as hard as the guy in 3rd and get edged out in the end. If that happens, you only get a little dilithium, Whoopdie Doo. Even if you come in the top 3 you get very few parts for upgrading your D'vor. We work hard to mine all that Lat etc for 24 hrs to squabble over a crappy prize. I love mining and love the idea of a Lat rush event, but here's my suggestion, make them three separate 8hour events, make the prizes better, perhaps include some Lat as well as more D'vor parts, and spread it out so that the person in 10th still gets something decent. After that perhaps include some BP's for faction mining ships or others, or simply give out some Uncommon refined Crystal, Gas, and Ore. Stop being so tight with prizes. This will be the last one I participate in until it improves, and I love doing them generally. I'm just not going to play until 4 am my time for these prizes and especially not for the 4place on down, Dilithium, which I could easily mine whenever if that was even necessary, which it's not.Working 16-18 hours without good prizes is no fun and a fool's errand.

They absolutely can if you strategise and play as a team

you can do a lot if your enemy has at least one of those:

• a bad (or pve) crew
• less research
• no buffs
• triangle disadvantage

You only have a small chance if your enemy makes one or several general faults. And this doesn't happen often. Most of the time the bigger Players have the research, the crews and decent forbidden and chaos tech.
And Titan, Cerritos and Mantis Buff are limited to juice and cooldown.

Edge-cases have a tiny influence on a bad matchmaking in general.

Agree the system is not perfect and matchmaking is still out of balance. Scopely want it this way to force people to rage spend to progress. But it can be done every now and then. It is putting players off this feature which does have potential. However you can’t just dismiss your chances just because it’s a bigger ship. Every dog has its day!

Feedback on the tokens in BP, forgot to say last month felt it was a good choice, i was 49 when BP came out, got the treasury, used that to get me to 51 and then used the tokens for 5* to get me further, if it was old system i would have just had a ton of grade 4 mats for the month or waited another month for next treasury, so felt i could progress better

Feedback: When The Original Stella was released you put it it in the battlepass to encourage people to play with it and spend money. Once you buy the revenant you can no longer see how many chaos modules you have in the continuum refinery. Only armada credits and fabricator chips. Not sure why it was necessary to remove those but it would be helpful to restore that since you still redeem them in the material exchange and fragment exchange. Thanks

@tidal notch I have some constructive feedback for you guys regarding the new ship.

1. This thing handles the new hostiles better than advertised, BUT that also comes with the biggest critique of the ship in point #2.

#2 The available warp range for this ship HAS to be adjusted and it has to be done before the second leg of the research box when the player hits 61. Spending $200 on the ship, the unlock and the 350k ship parts bundle, max warp range for start up is simply not worth it for the damage you cause. See the attached photos with a max warp crew used. Note the damage at ops 60 is far outpacing the available warp range, tier 3, for the ship. The refits for scrapping should be focused on design, function, and damage to armadas and NOT hold up warp range. TBH after a $200 investment, I do feel the ship falls very, very short and the #1 reason why is available warp range.

#3 the free armada cool down needs to be either more armadas once per week given OR reduced to 3 days. The amount of loot per armada early on in first phase of the ship and what you get in the refinery makes no sense. Here we have a ship that requires parts to the tune of 25k per box early on in tiering, but the max loot I can get at the armada level I can kill will allow me to get 34k uncommon parts/week. Definitely not worth it, especially for an Ops 60 like myself.

Honestly, I feel like for the $200 upstart, any player, not just myself, should have gotten enough parts for the first scrapping. The ship vs value falls incredibly short on that and it's very dissapointing. Had I known that, I likely would have chosen the F2P path.

In regards to the proposed adjustments, I believe they should be made as soon as possible or this loop will likely be dead on arrival. One thing, the weekly armada event today, those milestones are quite high for what is to be a weekly event (especially when you will have other armada events as part of arcs on different days on top of this weekly event). Might I suggest those milestones adjust down a little, repeated non-arc events are usually fairly simple to do. The Xindi one didnt take too long to do. Keep in mind that you have added a weekly armada event for the vindicator also.

IT'S THURSDAY HERE ... rename these events and show you actually remember that not all your players live in the same timezone your office is in. I know it's hard to believe but we are living on an planet with different time zones so the event started on an Wednesday while you people from the future might have been already an day ahead because of your own time zone. Nothing you can do against that and nothing to fix here.

Coming to your second point. Because of your...you might have already guessed it.... own time zone...you might be an hour before/after the Daily Reset so....yeah no fix for that since the Game does run on "Server Time" plans and not your own Time Zone. To check how much the Server is ahead/behind your own Time Zone, click on your Player Profile Icon on the Main Screen and then look below your Nick, Alliance Name, League. You will find there the Server Time. This is the Time you can follow. Everything else is...you might have already guessed it...without any value.

I think the gist of the message would be that each timezone should have the events aligned to that zone, not all run at the same time from a different timezone. Therefore APAC servers should have the Wednesday one released on our Wednesday. But meh, removing the day name would be a nice compromise.

The daily reset refers to the dailies resetting and then an hour later the events change - I put this down to a daylight savings setting somewhere. They used to be at the same time (dailies reset) but somewhere along the way this changed. But once again meh, I just work around it.

The only real way to attempt it is to do level 1 researches, but even then, it’s a lot of them. A random prime research gives 175,000 power which equates to about 2.6 million points. First off, Bravo on the rework of the pinnacle of power rewards. They are great.
That being said, i do not like however you have the tiers of it worked out. Like my 60+ mates get hazard particles. Us In the 50s get cosmic/rodinium...not sure what's 40s and below get yet... those 60s still need both cosmic particles and rodinium... ive heard rumors of lower players getting merits for away team tree... I need those... you should change it so that each successive tier gets all the stuff from below too.

The new daily events need work.

1. The milestone targets need restructuring as they are very unbalanced. Pinnacle of Power - Armadas requires running two epics or an epic and three rares. It's usually not even possible to get enough directives for this in a week and leaves nothing for other events. Pinnacle of Power - Mining requires 35K materials mined, which is a 2 minute event for anyone 40+. Why is one event so hard and one so trivial? There is a huge lack of consistency here.
2. You are still running SLB's that conflict with the new dailies. Why still run an Artifact SLB event today when you just had it in the dailies yesterday? I thought the point of the new dailies was to replace the old SLB's and move them into the daily events, but now you just have both and it's impossible to participate in everything. I don't know what you're trying to achieve here but it isn't working.

Yes there is no quality of life improvement. The new event formats actually take more time to complete than before. Milestones are set so high that it might be difficult to complete. One of the events includes the new ship so when you don't have it yet you don't get event store currency.

So......... The game is bringing more grief than it is joy to me. I'm not sure how many are feeling the same at the moment. Seems we plead and plead and plead for you to do things to fix the lag, to fix the bugs and to clean things up and all of our pleading falls on deaf ears. I know I'm not a big spender, but myself and people like me represent your bread and butter with our moderate spending, yet our thoughts and wishes are constantly passed over in your quest to cater to your big spenders. These new events have dramatically increased the “go here and kill LOTS of hostiles”. So today I am yet again killing more hostiles to see I am no longer getting credits for the kills. I must have his the max kills per day. Great. So now it’s pointless playing the game until after reset. Increase the daily kill limit. Sort it out Scopely or you will lose even more players. .

Finally, the event clutter is getting out of control. there's 23 ***ing menu's that you have to click through. really? That's not even including the other 3 tabs at the top "season pass, boldy go and event store"

And I especially hate that I have to go through 40 tiles with sub-tiles in the event section and check each individually if it is a paid event or not and now I even have to calculate the time required to complete them, because these new events partially take half of my daily playtime. • To much pressure through events with intransparent design and lack of communication (ahead of the curve, the march of progress)
• 5 new ships a year
• 3 new pvp crews a year
• more loops created than closed or reduced,
• Now events to dry out players ressources and a event structure that punishes (or disables) strategic play.
• Arena takes far 2 much time but you are forced to play if you want to access the terran store.
• Officer SMS often not happening but when they happen, the milestones increase while rewards decrease
• SLB, XSLB, RSLB with wide brackets make officer sourcing ultra hard.

There's a range you can kill for loot, and once you're over that threshold, you have to hit the next ones, previous loot being rendered useless

Last month was really cool. This month has me back to wondering if I should quit. Seriously, way too much packed into an obviously busy month. I can't even break it all down to figure out how to manage my time with it. It might work itself out but right now it's just too much. In my bracket, only 51 people participated in the artifact SLB that paid out to the top 50 players (that poor guy) yesterday. I'm glad you came around to updating those events but I'm not going to treat them any differently. If it fits in with what I'm doing I'll complete the event, otherwise I'm going to leave it alone. You really just needed to modernize the rewards. I have no plans to concern myself with the cumulative weekly events and their rewards. Monthly? forgetaboutit. It fits perfectly with so many of the things y'all have done, take a good idea and implement it terribly. You're not creating FOMO, you're creating GT_O. At lvl 49 my cube is worthless. 2 instances it has come up that are significant:
After taking lethal damage in pvp if its only just lethal the ship repairs and if you win the next round your message log shows you won but your ship is showing as destroyed. Although you still have cargo and you are still in the system you ship is stuck until someone kills you again.
And a more hectic issue is that i had some instances that iw asnt able to replicate consistently but my ship had 100% combat repair even though it should have only had around 25%

No it changed mid grind. Was charging on a single 24 swarm, then for no apparent reason would only charge to 67.2% when I went back to recharge after a kill. Solved by moving to a 26 system, but I shouldn't of had to. 🤣

The new daily events had a lot of potential to revamp an old part of the game that wasn't very useful any more. Unfortunately it seems greed got in the way because the milestone targets are way too aggressive and will quickly deplete anyone who tries to do all of them. Why not just update the rewards and milestones with something reasonable to give players something extra to do and earn? Why did you have to make it feel punishing?

I used to be able to count on the daily events to help with acquisition of crew, the new daily events severely hamstring my ability to get crew and to tier/level them now that the ultra recruit token rewards have been taken away. In addition to the whole crew thing, the new daily events have stripped away much of the drive I had to speed up research and buildings, as I'm not being rewarded for doing so to the same level and frequency as I was before. The daily events have always been a sure way to gain at least a small amount of mats, parts and rss for all players, but for f2p players it was pretty important. I'm not sure I'll be able to last much longer in the game. Much of the joy has been taken away from it for me.
