If you have Kang, worf and Harrison the saladin is an absolute beast for pvp at your level.

With that crew and under lvl 35 you can do a lot of damage. If Harrison activated I was doing over 3 mil in hull damage. Which killed a lot of whales

I'm getting killed by g6 cubes with 2 billion+ power running mirror pvp crews with pvp primes like the zero damage hull breach prime while I have nearly none. Does nothing. I rather just get more armada loot

we already have plenty loot crews to pick from. Also its really now much loot coming from chimeras, its mostly in the reward boxes. You still only see the PVP Lower Deck ability, not the officer ability which is very strong against armadas and chimeras

Plenty??? There's only two armada loot crews 5 and Geordie and geordi is useless. So there's only one crew, a 5 year old crew that this one is designed to replace.

I hate this separate 3-day timer on the Treasury after you get enough kills to open it... I'm gonna have to skip most of my dailies and several events tomorrow in order to open mine, cuz I'm 200 desealing rods short and need the ones from the Overflow SMS.

Fortunately at my level, killing Freebooters (7 of them) finishes all of my Hostile Kill dailies other than Harbinger and 20 FKR to progress my weekly Faction claim for credits and Rodinium. I may have to pass on the weekly Gorn event though (fortunately I got my Eviscerator last week). What I'll probably do is skip the 20 FKR until tomorrow afternoon and piggyback it on Thin Lines.

Staying at 45 just for Silent and Gorn is a bad idea. 46 puts you in a much better spot with a Pilum or other OPS46 ship. Your time is much better spent on getting Bajoran, ExBorg, and the other factions max reputation, getting all the favors, and 3chest pulling on Dominion loot.

Why are you attacking 110 level 40 Gorn at OPS48 and not 22 level 49 Gorn to get 11,000?

@little latch, IF I had the money to drop hundreds of dollars a month into STFC I would have the ships and crews to hit the ops 49 Gorn. Unfortunately I left the game for 18 months so I still don't have a rare G4 ship (nor am I close to having one) and my only purchases tend to be the Elite Battle Passes. I simply can't afford to just buy crew/ships/treasuries every month. My mistake was to keep pushing my ops to open up the main mission chains rather than to sit at ops 43 for 6 months or more. Unfortunately at this point I only have Ent-E Data to use on the Gorn. Once I get Janeway and Ent-E Picard I'll be better equipped to hit bigger Gorn targets. The same applies to Xindi. I have Archer but not Tripp and Leslie is only level 5 which limits the effectiveness of the Leslie/Moreau/Nero option. I also lack a number of the LD officers to make my ships more effective and the key ones like Hugh and Odo have limited sourcing.

Leslie is as functional at t4 as he is at t1 when doing burn method. That only is used for token space xindi. As per lower deck, chapel is also a really good option

@golden ether , my problem is that even with crew presets, I hate having to pull officers from multiple ships just to do a specific loop. For example my PMC hostile crew runs Tendi, Mariner, Rutherford and Paris below deck with the final 3 slots being filled with Severus/Charvanek/Decius to swap for Silent Enemies. I can do that and not pull an officer off of another ship. Nero is on my burning crew that I use as a secondary Armada crew for Eclipse along with Realta bombing as needed for TC. Leslie isn't currently on a ship so I can assign him as needed.

I don't spend anything on this game, however I do play daily - so your 18 month hiatus is a big setback for you. That explains your crewing conundrum. I'd recommend not dumping more materials into your Kelvin, you're getting diminishing returns on power for trying to get to T9 and beyond. It's better to save those materials for a 46 ship.

Please change the blue particles in the Fatu-Krey Scrap exchange from a chance of 50-100 to a chance of 100-150. It completely deflates enjoyment of the event when you can only do 1 Chimera every 2 days if your RNG sucks.

Hard to test because it's inferior in every way vs the other selectable option. But you shouldn't be trying to visually eyeball the difference, the client's not great at always updating the correct current location of your ship. Test by measuring the time to cross the same distance, eg. one end of the system to the other. The popup clock should be accurate.

@little latch, the closest I am to an ops 46 ship is my Newton and I'm still 230 BPS away. Part of my problem there is a prolonged server war where a bunch of wallet warrior drama queens are wrecking Armadas which puts a crimp in getting BP'S other than sheer grinding. I don't have Janeway or Hugh yet so I can't run your crew

Well, they say never attribute malice where stupidity is the more likely cause…but as I have been saying, at what point does that excuse not fly? (ie, everything they do is intentional. Whether they get caught and slammed about it is the key…and they have conditioned the player base very well. Won’t be much changed.)

I'm currently sitting at ops 50 and my biggest hesitation going to 51 is being in group events vs folks all the way up to 70. I would ask scopely please group up folks a bit more similarly to the previous ops levels. I greatly value the ability to strategically save and spend to unlock new officers each month and I've been told by my alliance mates to just give up on ever doing that until I'm closer to 70 than 50 and that REALLY puts alot of hesitation into me to going into g5 until I absolutely can't do anything more at 50. Please consider this as you plan out future content and allow folks at these levels a bit more space to compete with folks closer together in ops level rather than competing vs all of 51-70

I got my faction credits through doing faction daily mining, hostiles, and the opt-in daily spend + Borg Refinery + some Awayteam missions. Should be able to get a decent amount just by taking the marathon route. Armada chests have the random feelbad component to them so I've never done a turn in of those for BPs.

I'm kinda just viewing them as my measuring stick, tbh. I've neglected rep grinding a bit, so my new Protector is my strongest ship as of a couple days ago, but before that it was still my Augur. So my priorities are to rep grind and research until I either feel strong enough to kill those guys, or have my next rep lock to start grinding ship BP.

@little latch, I do that other than the Borg Refinery (I use that for independent credits). At 1400 credits per BP, ops46 ships aren't quick to get.

Right now I'm grinding Romulan Rep for my 1B lock. Once that's done I'm going to swing to getting my Klingon Rep leveled.

Yeah, it's a marathon - which you missing out on 18 months of time really is a big setback. You get 1,280 faction credits from the daily events + Borg refinery. Should at least be netting you one blueprint per day.

Honestly, using those as a measuring stick is going to hamstring you quite a bit. Those hostiles as released and still are a major pain even for a researched and crewed OPS level. A better measuring stick is going to be Borg/Dominion Solo Armadas, Freebooters, and some of the other faction based targets.

@little latch, the problem is that I also need those faction credits for officers. I just got Moreau to max tier and I'm grinding independent credits for Khan. I can handle Dominion Solo Armadas but pushing my ops too fast makes it tougher to get the credits for the chests. I save my Borg Solos for the monthly event. One thing I try to do is use my Voyager to farm Assimilated hostiles for faction messages. That helps with the faction credits.

A valid point. I only unlocked R&D 45 over the weekend, so my buildings aren't even ready for an OPs up yet (I think it's just 1 Defense platform level I need, though), but maybe I'll do some research into the changes and reevaluate over this weekend with my treasury loot.

The heavy hitter SLB is pretty good in my experience as FTP. Basically everyone uses the Voyager but i can consistently get into the top 15 with some much stronger people due to smart crewing. I'm glad it keeps coming back

Usually when you see that it means you got a lucky pull. Granted I usually only see it as (5) - 1. (After I pulled my first of 5 chests and got the full pull.

But once you have maxed a lot of officers, the TP dust starts flying and it is hard to see.

It seems scopely has changed how ISO damage is calculated, or it is now bugged...

We did a couple of Xindi armadas today. And after shots with 535 M ISO damage was done to the armada, that damage was mitigated so only 220 M dmg was applied. Thats not what was advertised when the iso dmg feature was introduced (it should be 535M+ to hull) , and not how it worked the first times we hit armadas when the iso damage was introduced. Has Scopely realized iso damage was to powerful and nerfed it, and thats why they now can and tries to sell us countless new researches and stuff that increase this ability.

If this is true... then they have made a feature worse, and are selling it again in a new packaging...
They said ISO damage should not be affected by standard mitigation. see screenshot from launch.

ok, No just asking based on what the log says which makes no sense for me. Unless, iso dmg is lowered due to the initial mitigation and then the 80/20 shield/hull ratio which standard damage both suffers from.
But the image says it should not, and if my memory also serves this is not how it was before.

Isolytic damage is affected by shield mitigation, the 80/20 split, always has been. It is not affected by regular mitigation (dodge, armor, and shield deflection).

A lot of the feedback is just like the old man in the rocking chair on his porch shaking his cane at the sky (just noise and negative complaining) I usually try and not only present the issue, but potential alternatives and fixes. For me it's about using a tag to make it stand out, and over time, develop a reputation as trying to help and be part of the solution for the good of the community rather than just another angry voice. When you provide alternative and solutions, those higher up will be much more receptive to the feedback you provide. Not exactly applicable to our current situation at all, but overall in general

It's about prioritizing feedback. I know a lot of people not on discord or on forums and they submit tickets. It's just another way of providing feedback/flagging them outside of the game links/in addition to a ticket.

The sad part is there is so much $$$$ being left on the table. If Scopely would just fix stuff. So many people would loosen the wallet. No it won’t be whales spending thousands, but it will be thousands buys battle passes, or a ship, and something. I have stopped supporting the game but I really want to. I just can’t justify supporting them when the game is in such a poor state. Every arc/release/Maintinance just means 2-5 days the game is unplayable. Customer service is one piece of sidewalk gum above laughable joke. I just can’t justify paying for that. Even tho I want to. FIX the game and you will see medium and small spenders supporting again, or drive it in the dirt. Scopely’s choice.

What I can no longer do, is to excuse Scopely’s refusal to take concrete actions to enforce the principles of their Community Guidelines within the game. To be clear — I am not referring to PvP or someone attacking my ships or station or beating us in territory defence, or griefing, mobbing or anything else that I can control by spending even more money than I already did.

I am referring to a toxic environment, where players name themselves to remind me of my real life cat that died from cancer to try and force me to quit the game. I have been through five months of various forms of attack and abuse, lies and sexual harassment, and they have been quite vocal that these attacks would not stop until I quit the game.

Repeated reports are treated as spam. Which would be correct, if it referred to the same event. If Scopely ignores repeated reports of new instances of the same behaviour, it becomes condoning of persistent personal attacks.

I understood that driving players to quit was against the community guidelines. I guess I was wrong. I will definitely not spend another cent on this game until this issue is resolved. I am stupid, but not stupid enough to pay to be abused.

We had a player that did the same thing with someone's dead wife. They also had wildly inappropriate names, sickening pms with threats of bodily harm and doxing in game and all were sent with screen shots to Scopley and it took then near 18 months to 2 years to permanently chat ban that player. Once upon a time I used to go after every armada I could before scopley decided to change how armadas worked. Now I just don’t really care about them. When armadas first came out I used to do them all the time it was worth it then for you could earn from them armadas to run other armadas, now it’s so screwed up the only real way to do them is to buy them. So I only do certain ones when I feel like doing them. I went from yeah armada to uh maybe it’s just an armada not like I get anything really from it. That’s just my view on it. Used to get from unc armadas rare armadas and from rare epic and epic a little of all, now you get nothing really for doing unc so it’s hard to source rare ones. It’s more a downer drag than a joy . At least that’s how I feel about. Sure I can join them but it’s hard to do what you’re working on and armadas that you just can’t really source anymore. Buying $100 armada pack is a waist for just ability to run one armada. When it first came out it was great and enjoyable now days it’s just a drag and enjoyable for me.

Still experiencing massive lag problems. Ship doesn't register as in system after warping in, leaving unable to warp in or out of that system until servers update location properly. Ghost Hostiles everywhere, attacking hostiles doesn't start animations or remove them from the map, properly updates after sending impossible attack commands on hostiles that do not exist. All forms of chests and redemptions are heavily delayed and can lock screens requiring hitting ESC or Back to get out of until the rewards populate on screen.

Outside of very specific menu clicking and mining the entire game is an incredible slog and painful to play. Yet don't really have a choice because this is yet again another Mega-Cube event plagued by server stability and lag problems.

@raw fiber this is from 1 MU run where ~600 was just in systems on my way to my farming spot. I was the only one in the systems the entire 30 mins. Cool, now I can do one pull and be empty tomorrow. I have an ops 17 account in an alliance with 1 other ops 17 account (it's a 2 person alliance that was set up to see the latest new player experience). There are a grand total of 0 tasks that can be attempted by an ops 17 player. Scopely needs to address this and put level appropriate tasks in the tournament so that lower level accounts/alliances aren't effectively frozen out of tournaments. I have NO issue with my ops 17 account being perpetually in the Novice League. I would just like a reasonable opportunity to say that I did participate in the tournament.

Cuz there are PvE tournament tasks like “swarms” and “xindi” etc; but for example the highest level swarms are only lvl50 ones, so that means anyone being ops53+ can only score a max of 1 point per hostile with those tasks, and i highly doubt it anyone will go hit upto 1600 swarms just to complete one single task…
Same with Xindi hostiles, etc. The ‘new’ scoring mechanism pretty locks out ALL your ~medium to higher ops players on the PvE tasks…

I’ve played far better phone games with this feature that’s done far far far better than this one. Nova empire is one such mobile game that does this far better stellaris is another, kingdoms of avolon is another do I need to name more phone games that are superior then stfc in their executions of same type of events? I can name over 3k all on phones. I sujggest yall check them out and ask the companies that do them for some help. You might learn a thing are two of how to do things right.

I'm gathering someone else selected it thus creating a "ghost" option for me. I went into alliance tournament(alliance tasks) selected borg probe for 1,500 and pushed start. It froze and I thought I saw it accepted, went to do a sweep of lvl 40 probes and saw no progress as well as when I went back to check it showed my daily attempts instead of 2/3 shows now 1/3

I hope that answered what you were looking for. I try not to complain. This game with the lag has really made my head hurt today. I was in the mirror universe on my NSEA Protector and I was struggling by farming hostiles. It kept landing on a ship and about 20 secs later would then blow up or sometimes disappear.

This is Scopely so I don't think that is true if I had a 30% of winning I would lose 10 times before 1 win but the other way around it is still way more against the player. But with the Monaveen, NX-01 refit and other improvements to the game it now gives out so much more base rss for so little effort that raiding for rss is beyond useless. @raw fiber I do like a couple of the changes to Alliance Tournaments but it's still nowhere close to its potential in my opinion.
To start, I do enjoy that I can grind hostiles to help my alliance. However, I do not get much (if any) currency in the store. This could be interpreted as my time playing the game has little to no value, which is an overall negative considering it leaves the community as a whole feeling like they don't matter. I personally didn't expect a free to play 10k task to equal the same rewards as a paid task, but I don't believe it is unreasonable to expect 50% of the rewards which would be a stark improvement over what is the current rate of 18.75%. The logical rebuttal that Scopely would give, is that the players should be working together to get rewards. Theoretically it sounds good but when an event spits in your face for the effort you put in during its duration, what's the incentive to participate. On this point, I'd like to close it with that I appreciate that free to play can still contribute which is nice but their contributions don't yield rewards for their efforts until the event ends which those rewards are based on the other 70+ people in their alliance to participate, which defeats the purpose of even trying.

Next point, various items in the store are over priced. The FT take up to 7 complete event cycles to source due to price and limits on redeems doesn't incentivize a player to go after those. This is assuming a player maxes out the pulls for a particular FT every event cycle, which stated with the near non existent rewards, stated above, isn't realistic to expect. The primes are reasonably priced overall but would prefer the oldest ones to be a lower price as they have been "power crept" out of usefulness. With currency expiring after every event cycle, we as players can't get anything in a reasonable time.
I love the overall premise of the event, but still misses the mark heavily despite the positive changes.

Same as this - PC: client logs into new account (after prompting via web-page to login into old). Login to old account fails, new account started. Go through tutorial to point where I can log into scopely account - Login fails. Web store etc on old account remains fine.

Give it 2 more updates. Scopely's track record seems to be- 1st maintenance update breaks most of the game. The 2nd gets things to somewhere between where they were prior to the update, and the disaster of the 1st release. The third will get things slightly better than they were before the first update and then slide back down in functionality over a few weeks until the game is unplayable. Wash, rinse, repeat.

There has been serious lag since this weekly battle pass rolled out. No new big arc, just the same events that yall have run over and over. Which are also harder to complete because of the difficulties.

I’m sure some enjoy the interactions between the company and their customers but I would just prefer a product that worked.

From experiences with competent developers: someone who is in the building with the dev team, someone who has first hand knowledge of what is being worked on and how, and probably has even contributed to the development process at some point so has a real understanding of what’s going on and can communicate that to the player base.

Honestly, I think people would settle for someone who can just read the fricken room and understand the player base is constantly and extremely frustrated, so food talk really isn’t going over well with a larger part of the people paying attention than the small handful jumping in and playing along.

@raw fiber the first time they responded they said the level 34 xindi I killed wouldn’t score because they are too low level. (I’m ops 39). Except 3 or more levels lower should all score 1 point. AND I’d killed 12 level 35s and 2 level 34s and only 7 had been counted for the task. So that was obviously nonsense. And they closed the conversation.

The second time they explained why I was only scoring one point per kill, even though I knew that, and completely ignored I’d made 14 kills and only 7 were counted AND I told them the aquatic xindi were not being counted. And they closed the conversation.

The third conversation is open now but I’m not hopeful my complaint will be addressed this time either. It is a massive waste of my time and very frustrating.

Server 93 has never faced off in an incursion event with a server that is a higher number than us. At some point, shouldn’t every server have opponents which are older and younger than themselves? Incursions are like everything else Scopely adds into the game, flawed or bugged.

Bingo. Kinda a joke that servers fresh off of ascension have paired against much older servers to start with (that 702 and 703 haven't been fighting it out is a crime of the ages) but that we are going to be denied any prep due to these forced ceasefires means there isn't even a point.

• most tasks appear to be geared for higher level players and/or spenders; very few tasks can be completed by lower level players
• the points awarded for completing a task ought to be more like how the war room awards points - more pts for lower level players
• low level players, currently, are not encouraged to participate since they struggle to complete the tasks offered
• or, perhaps only offer to players tasks they can complete at their level, rather than offering up a task they can't possibly complete (L34 sees tasks to destroy xindis, for example; if (task.level <= player.level) { task.show_to_player(); }.
• when a player sees these tasks, the general psychology may be "i can't do this", and they leave the screen (i've done it; and even though we can reroll - we want to play a game, not click a "reroll" button for 20 mins).
• maybe add a number indicating a "required" level for a given task - like as done for missions - facilitating and easing task selection.

When trying to upgrade an artifact or building once getting the prerequisites and getting the “you don’t have enough to upgrade message” and have been for three days now. Today's lag, badly designed tournament and pairing with a server with lv 60 players (we only have 50s on our server) have made me quit.
It is obvious that Scopely does not care about anything other than money.
Matching us with a server that has lv 60 players (where ours only has lv 50 max) is only to force us to buy more ships, packs, mats, etc., so that we can be competitive. There is no pleasure when we are matched with a much more superior adversary for unjust reasons.
The lag is a recurring issue and can be easily fixed. It's simply bad coding and bad allocation of resources. They just won't do it.
The tournament is unbelievably badly designed, and Scopely shows absolutely no respect for the time we (players) spend on it.
In fact, Scopely couldn't care less about us, the only thing that matters are the metrics and how much time we spend in the game.
The metrics makes them look good, and it pleases the investors.
I'm tired of being a paying beta tester for Scopely.
It's time to move on.

If they run incursions right now OR add new content in 3 days they are literally the dumbest people on the planet. They have to find out why the lag is getting WORSE after a maintenence. Now, Scopely is greedy, but I don't think they are just amazingly ignorant. I expect a second weekly officer pass next week and canceled incursions while they work on server stability next week.

One of the best things I did so far this year was leaving stfc. Not only did it consume to much of my time, it also got me irritated as it did not work as intended. It is advertised as a f2p game but in truth you can not compete with players that can spend thousands on a mobile game. The biggest issue with the store is the cost for what you get, as nothing in the store is 100 dollar value in my opinion, although I am also guilty of spending over 500 in one year on this game. With that said I am glad that I have left the game and maybe one day I might come back, but for now I am happier not playing.

I’ve noticed that some people on this Discord want to shill for Scopely and make excuses for them. Is everyone here a player or are some of the people here employees of Scopely? If there are Scopely employees here, then let’s have them arbitrate for us with Scopely. I’m not going to spend another dime on this game until the issues are resolved and we all know what they are. Everything is always broken. And Scopely doesn’t respond. Glitches should be few and far between and handled promptly when they do occur. Instead, Scopely makes problems routine and ignores them with platitudes when they predictably occur. Fix everything, then focus on quality over new quantity. You don’t have to constantly be bringing out new content. Make sure what you have works and THEN bring on new content.

1. Cost Efficiencies not calculating right. Reports of players who lost 1 Million Sigma Trit more than shown.
2. No rewards for Borg SLB and ALB Events
3. People lost Account access (back to OPS1)
4. unscheduled Maintenance collateral damage in Events and Alliance Tournament tasks (unfinished tasks)
5. Territory Takeover during unscheduled Maintenance did not score
6. Some Alliance tasks are/were not counting
7. No notable performance improvements so far

This is indeed the worst patch in a several months ongoing trend on lower quality.
Maybe you didn't had time or budget to make it better but the moment has come to change things

So last night when I was on the gold shield said 2 days left before I went to bed. Log in this morning and the gold shield is gone. So what you gives everyone a 3 day peace shield and then take it away after 1 day? And yes I know they claimed they were putting up a 1 day peace shield, but when you get on and see a 3 day instead of a 1, don't take it away unless we as players do something to pop the shield, i.e. attack a player or Texas hostiles.

This game has to be at the absolute lowest level of quality ever. Last year we were promised a focus on improving the quality of the content and less of a focus on the number of things for us to juggle. It’s pretty clear that’s just not true. Please stop rolling out new content and fix all the features that have been broken for months.

Even the tiny things like the armada quickstarts not updating the timer, voyager mining nodes being bugged, having your ship warp but not actually show it’s warping, it all adds up to an extremely frustrating and unreliable experience.

It’s embarrassing at this point how messy things are trying to barely piece together invasions or alliance tourneys to get it out the door, only to have more problems than before.

If there’s no confidence in the game’s reliability, people aren’t confident in investing money into it. Should be pretty straightforward to understand a poor player experience isn’t going to lead to more sales.

Absolutely. For things to be this buggy and messed up on such a consistent basis is very not normal for a game, especially one that’s been out for 5 years. Makes it all the more insulting the amount they are asking people to spend.
