What I can say is that what you said wasn’t helpful. (Very little that has come from reds to justify Scopy’s shenanigans is). And while I get that you guys are not paid volunteers, if you cannot see that that is borked, I got nothing for you. If you think they are justified in the behavior you are a scopy employee. If you are a customer advocate, telling someone they need to jump through hoops to get a prize isn’t an advocate. It is annoying. I have watched this event get worse and worse with each passing appearance other than last times goof on Scopy’s part). I guess having non paid people come to Scopy’s defense really baffles me. And if you are paid (even with packs) you are no longer helpful as you have a vested interest. Make sense?

If you're still at the point that you're upset that Scopely has events that are purely spend events... then you 1) haven't been around long enough and maybe 2) haven't played many "gotcha games". This is the economy in STFC - not all events are F2P... or even winnable by F2P and in many cases even light spenders cannot win them. There's no point in getting bent out of shape about it. Accept it as the way the game is and ignore the event or spend your money - those are the options.

@royal solar really enjoyed another look into the life of the official stfc team, another great video on YouTube but this one came with a fault and a suggestion to fix it, revs audio and quality was lowered dramatically due to recording via a call I say is safe to assume entire one side? most CC have great equipment and for the videos it would be so much better if both parties involved recorded the call and then sent there half to you to edit together from two original sources instead of one real time and one looking like a 90s VHS 😅 the end product would be fantastic and this is quite as easy fix as anyone in CC is generally capable of recording their side. We need something that bumps Admiral to next member with highest power if an admiral is not active for a month. Also, just logging into the game then back out without doing anything in game shouldn’t count as active for an admiral.

Maybe with a 24 hour alert that a current admiral can tap/click on to open the game and then do something in game to stay active as admiral.

Have a few alliances on my server (26) that have had afk admirals for months. One of them has been afk for years. (Not exaggerating).

The alliances are public with no leadership (no commodores either) they’ve turned into either mass griefers no one can do anything about, or an alliance of people that have no clue how to play the game and eventually quit playing altogether because no one in their alliance can explain anything to them.

When current players in the alliances (that keep playing the game) figure out what is happening and leave the crap alliances, new people start playing the game, join them and it starts all over again.

Officer shards packs shouldn't be released outside their respective arcs. Spenders get their advantage, and heads start from the packs sold during the arc. If you need to rerelease them, that speaks to how poor your sourcing for FTP and spenders is in-game.

Improve the in-game sourcing instead of making up for it with extra officer packs, with plans and general dates for improvements already in place when the arc releases. You can focus on newer content without wasting time deciding how to improve sourcing at a later date when you need to play catch up.

You can literally have a calendar with the planned dates with the officer shard increases in place; the date comes up, new shard amounts are input, final confirmation is made, the update is released, and the community manager posts an announcement. Is it actually that difficult? Yes, it's not that simple, but how much of that comes from you making it more difficult for yourselves?

Well we just had a TC fight that had the most horrible lag since the beginning of TC fights 🙈🙈 It's completely impossible to play normally even though the system was not tooo crowded. I have seen fights with more ships and less lag. Just thought the feedback should be given. whatever the programmers are doing, it seems not to work 🙈

Using it during pvp. 1.9 mil Saladin that has activated relentless assault gets beat by 1.6 mil anything. Based on how a 540k horizon with automated defenses can take out a 1.7 mil attacker when it's attacked by another player, one would assume that relentless assault would allow for the same type of result.

So, I went to collect my webstore mission key a couple of days ago. Log into the webstore, using my normal email and password, and the game asks me some weird question about discarding or deleting the current account and presented a "Yes" and "No" button. Clicking "yes" meant one thing, "no" meant another thing. It's not really clear to me what was meant. So, I click "no" and the webstore pops up, but a different name shows! Exit the browser, and the game has a box with a "Relaunch" button...i click the button and the game reloads into a level 1 account! I contact scopely (gave both my orig account email and player id, and the new player id) and wait my 24hrs for a reply. the reply is "what's the player id's?". wow! ok, i rewrite the information and add on a little backstory to help out. I wait another 24hrs and now i have a new rep. "Winn" at scopely support tells me to login as ALM. Really, Winn? That's how we got here! No, now i'm way angry cuz logging in is what caused this issue!

a) 24hrs between messages is beyond ridiculous, and super frustrating when events need to be completed; and i refuse to play on cellular device - it's simply too small for my old eyes!
b) Support reps not properly reading the entirety of messages sent, and then giving poor and inaccurate advice like "login to the ALM account" when the previous msg in the chat specifically said i have tried and failed to login to the ALM account.
c) it's not just affecting me, but also my alliance as a whole, since i can't partake in any events or chats!

I would really like to see Scopely reply to support messages much faster than just one message per day. For example, I'm sitting here, and I hear your team send me a msg and I immediately switch to the msg, and reply. No response until the next day! What gives with that?

I love the kirk hailing frequency, it’s perfect for when you’re waiting cloaked just before you kill someone’s armada. Generally they’re stupid but this one has made me actually glad they’re a thing. Agree on this, good step in the right direction but not perfect. I’d prefer some extra dailies that can be completed by freebooters, such as Borg, eclipse, mantis, data etc. but you can’t do them all and have to choose. I’d prefer to autocomplete some of these and hit more faction hostiles so I can grind rep.
I agree some of these are in the new exborg faction store but that a choice between research and completions which isn’t a good option.

Really happy with freebooter update. It’s really cut down on required screen time for dailies allowing for a less stressful time getting them done on event-heavy days. Then on slow days, I can better catch up on missions or grind faction rep if I so choose. 👍👍

Sourcing for new officers has gotten ridiculous. I used to be able to unlock all the rares and the epic through participation in events and auctions during the arc. Then the epics got harder to get, fewer opportunities (or pay only), steeper milestones, fewer auctions with bigger/xslb brackets. This month I did all events, bought the Battlepass, placed in the auctions, and still couldn’t even unlock Bev. There’s no path in-game for future sourcing for these officers, just as there’s no path for Hugh, Odo, SNW La’an, nor any in-game way for anyone below ops 40 to source crucial officers like Hugh. This doesn’t encourage me to spend or to push ops to try to get them, it just makes the game feel too much of a struggle to be worth trying to do.

I noticed it doesn't help with the smaller fkr daily but either you'll fix that or left it for a reason.

That doesn’t change the fact that there are fewer of them than there used to be, that some officers are pay-only, that Scopely is providing fewer opportunities to unlock officers through non-auction events than they used to, and that there is no in-game sourcing for a number of officers.

In the past, the g3-Enterprise was completely overpowered. The Augur a useless ship in PVP... with the introduction of the Strike Teams, scopely readjusted the balance to the detriment of all Explorers. I really hope scopely doesn't mess up again out of greed and leaves everything as it is now. It can hardly get any better than it is now. They don't really understand their own game mechanics any more. An augur shouldn't be able to beat a korinar with pvp crew if it has over 2 times more power. But it is what it is now. I don't build explorers anymore .... Otherwise I guess assimilate.

HIPAA is an American law, doesn't apply to most of the moderators/CS, and it's mostly a healthcare sector thing since it's rather difficult for most others to obtain large quantities of health information about our coworkers. CS won't give you PII, nor will they give you private information. The latter is the kind of stuff that encompasses what they do to other people. Nosey people might want to know about stuff that has nothing to do with them, but it is intended to be known only to two parties. They will not answer those tickets, nor should you be sending them in.

The answer is very simple, they consider it a breach of privacy. If you had such information you could plan retributive attacks on another player while they were affected by a CS action. You can continue to create tickets for information they won't provide, but they can continue to close them until you stop or even start giving you warnings about misusing CS and mark your future tickets to be ignored.

But yeah, they do serve as a material gate that slows down your progress in that tree. It might have been done that way to prevent quickly maxing out the tree by overly aggressive whale play.

Pushing officers like Kras and playing around reset timers got me quite the stockpile of those.

Yes, sorta, I have found as ops goes up, the stat requirement for ata 100% goes up. However, the research and buildings that come with each ops pushes those stats higher and yes, the rewards do get bigger. You just need bigger officers to guarantee successful completion. And I (at ops 47, see that particular one at least 2-3 times a week, and I am running almost full ATA’s most of the time)

I was at 39 for about three months and didn’t see it even once, got it in a week or so after going to 41, and the researches that need the merit of honors also require ops 40, so I’m pretty sure 40 is needed. Even now in low 40s I have had up to three of those running at the same time.

But this change is completely unfair to all those who bought the base pack given the poor content of the elite pack.
Now that the elite pack is more attractive it is not possible to get Tal for those who have already bought the cheap pack.
This is unfair and abnormal: it should be possible for those who bought the basic pack to change their choice given my modification of the substance of the Elite pack.

If you're playing farmville, that's you're choice, but given that it's literally a competitive gave for "player vs player", hence the leaderboards and ranked events, if you don't think it's pvp, you simply lack understanding of the English language.

Like I said, if this is pvp for you, jolly to you pally. I rarely pvp unless forced, and raiding is a waste of time for what you get. The only thing competitive play brings in this game is money in Scopy’s pockets. There is nothing to feel pride or accomplishment for, you’re paying for your wins. And if you enjoy that, again jolly for you. However, you get further being cooperative as opposed to competitive. The leaderboards don’t do squat for your game progression. Having friends does. I understand the language very well, I also recognize the marketing psychology behind the practice. All I hear is folks being played by the company and turning their embarrassment at how much they spend into justification for treating people poorly when they talk about pvp. 🤷‍♂️

If this company in any way possible values it’s customers, then they need to rethink this. As a recap, you broke incursions, the only source in game to acquire subspace relays. So to fix your issue, you are going to charge your customer base up to $200 for minimal progress that we should be able to achieve for free if your “feature” was working properly. How about you just take the loss, and every month give all players the equivalent of 50% of all total rewards that could have been obtainable (SMS and SLBs) had your feature worked properly. Maybe, just maybe, that would drive you to fix something that has been broken for multiple months now… And do not think we have forgotten about the Mantis compensation you promised for the 3 months your paid feature did not function properly.

@royal solar Personally, when the subspace relay first came out, I was excited. here was something that had a PROFOUND affect on my ships and my abilities in PVE and PVP that was 100% f2p. yes, I had to work my butt off, but every incursion I spent hours and hours making sure I won the raiding event and placing as high as I could in the other 3, focusing my efforts and playing the event "smarter". this was something where actually playing the game and putting in effort (alot) would help me a little towards overcoming the horrendous pvp bracketing you have in the game. The Pay 2 players have many MANY things in the game to give them advantages over everyone else, here was one thing that required earning the (small) advantage. I am extremely saddened not just by your inability to run incursions, but by the decision to turn what was a decent part of the game into just another p2p item.

I think the issues were that the events in the recent go-rounds weren't scoring correctly... they would just stop accumulating your points

I completely agree. we have a few Spanish speakers in my alliance and while I do know some spanish, a predefined system message shodul display based upon your accounts set defaults, not the other persons. I think chat just injects the message from your account in as is and not in a "global variable" type config that can then be (correctly) interpretted by the clients on everyone else's phone. the poor mans chat engine method.

Numerous rts/ tribal wars clone game on mobile pop up, offer pay to win/ pay for advantage, and collapse in a few years if they’re good, within a year if they are garbage, then get re-released with a new visual skin by the same studio or a subsidiary a few months to a year later.

Incursions: created more division among players than ever before. (4 years of playing).
Perhaps it's time to end the idea of Domination to earn subspace relays.

Subspace Relays are meant to help with communication and community.

OK 3 things;

1. Fed and Klingons are different in how their ships are setup and how their stats matter
2. Explorers and Battleships have very different weapon profiles and very different combat actions
3. A level 39 hostile versus a level 40 hostile is in no way an even match to compare

Never mind anything you have done in the last few days, lower deck changes, exo-comps you may have been running etc, all of those factors add up and are compounded by the fact that you're not comparing against the same hostile.

Now admittedly, and frustratingly, ships are always stronger inside your base because they get a defense boost, especially when the Sally, Cent or Bortas are docked at the same time so yes, they get "weaker" when they undock. There may also be some research adjustments that have happened to equalize some things, it happened about a year ago where they found out that there were some researches that were ship specific and weren't being represented correctly, in other words the research was applied to all ships even though it didn't do anything to them, this could simply be a bug fix along those same lines.

Yeah well right off the bat, patch content is MEHHH! Another ship! 2 new epic PvP officers and 1 rare mining BD officer. Another fleet commander... All that and I haven't been able to get my FC to rank 9 yet... Been over month. No sourcing or should I say GOOD sourcing for those whatever they're called... Wow another support ship with resource currency to manage or collect or buy from Scopely. Another ship to take up the limited room we have in our hanger. Another ship that truly has no real purpose in the game. It’s about as niche or specialty as it comes. No incursions where it might be able to be used. Territory on most servers is stagnant and never changes. This new ship doesn’t add anything to the game that is meaningful. Sort of the same with a new fleet commander.

Yall are wild lol. 300% is not a massive game breaking buff. Rank 2 Picard on my Valdore against another explorer gives me about a 15-20% damage boost per shot. Almost unnoticeable if you don't compare with a regular crew. And that's a 900% damage boost.

I usually get 2 packs a month and the 20 dollar BP. I focus on ops and keep ships at low tiers to do so. I also get packs that help me push ops and never spend on things like officers. I play a lot and i've started 3+ years ago. ( Haven't spent the whole time)

That is true, I do agree, but when you put it In perspective that there are folks who drop over 1000$ easy within the first few days of an arc, and several hundred per week, my 20-220$ a month looks like chump change. That aside, Fortification when put on alliance ships also baseline gives a 25% increase to critical damage. You're alliance mates don't need any Titan research or have the ship for that benefit 🪴

That’s not the point. This ship has no use or need for the majority of the player base. Cerritos and defiant just do the job.
It’s under powered for its class, and we don’t need more support ships. Some research need cerritos and titan support at the same time?!
You could have made it anything than another speciality ship.
And connecting rare FC skill points to this ship is just money grabbing as FC has nothing to do with titan in the general meaning.
CC and players giving all day long feedback but scopely just amazes us with more stuff no one wants or needs.

Have had this issue of random stuff on armada battle log screens for a few weeks now. Either 3 empty Officer squares would be blocking things or crew pics of the most recent ship that was looked at block things (such as here).

Also, as to the prior person saying most player base is in the 40’s, it depends on the server. I see more in the 30’s then 40’s on mine (server 26). I’m lvl 38, myself.

That’s mostly for younger servers. As the older servers have most their player base in the 40s. There is tons of stuff for the 30s to do in the game so new content will be for the 40s probs soon for the 50s at some point

A question about the Titan-A, there are 2 buffs once "Fortified" and "maximum Fortification":

In the research tree, there is always a difference between "Fortified" and "maximum Fortified" that you get through research.

So you have to buff your ship twice, once with Fortified for those in research with Fortified in it and
once with Maximum Fortified for those who are involved in research?

Or get all research at "Maximum Fortified" buff, even the research where only Fortified is in it

E.g. With 2 pictures you get both with Max Fortified buff, only one with the research Max Fortified is in it, or both?

the amount of radioactive titanite you get per day is not enough. when the dailies alone need 3000 at minimum and 12000 for the second, the daily amount of, i think it was, 4K just isn’t good enough. I can see not doing a full 12K daily every day (it’s heard but yeah…), but getting 6K or 7K titanite a day should be a no brainer. Also, the name “titanite” is horrible 😂 No creativity went into that at all

It adjusts per tier and like the mantis and cloaking both daily’s are NOT supposed to be completed every day. The easy 3k can be done daily but the 12k daily can take between 7-10 days to do f2p depending on Titan tier

I am looking at the elite battlepass and wow...nothing special. 10 Riker shards, 12 Worf shards. 200 borg rare solo directives, 200 rare directives, 100 expansion directives (1/5th needed for an expansion cube!!!), 26.4k Picard coins....4 epic officer shards....

When the between arch had more loot per day than this you know this is bad. I will save my money this month. This is the 3rd month where I have not spent anything on the slb's for officers or extra $$ and it looks like this month I won't be spending ANY $$ AT ALL.

It seems like most of us feel this Arc isn't for us. I know Discovery was before your time, but Discovery part 2 is widely considered to be one of, if not the, worst arc ever in the game. This one is looking like it will replace it handily.

I've been here since the 2nd or 3rd month after launch. A lot of things have improved, no doubt. But in so many ways, the game has gotten so much worse.

Since the TNG arc, I've been questioning if the devs have ever even watched any of the shows, because they've strayed so far from basic common sense in the lore. This new "let's make everything a support ship" trend is terrible. The Defiant, by lore, should be where the Northcutt is in the progression, at the least. The Titan A should be a G6, or probably a G7 ship, since the Enterprise E should be a G6 and the Titan A comes decades later.

We don't need them to be some weak, meaningless piece of trash participation trophy that everyone can get immediately. That just ruins them.

Doing a copy/paste on Riker and Worf ruined them, because they serve no purpose in the game. They also ignore who the characters are in the show. Again. 🙄

We still have years old bugs that aren't fixed, while there are big fixes for things I've never heard of. Half the time, customer support either has no idea what they're talking about or tells me things that are provably false.

In the time it's taken me to type this, I've had to restart the game 5 times. That probably makes 30 something for the day.

I really don't know why I or anyone else is still playing. I guess it's just functional enough, or we're just dysfunctional enough, to keep trying, hoping it works tomorrow

Please adapt borg solo armadas. Im sure you know already they are far less done then normal solo armadas. Its pretty easy why:

• warp times are too long in the systems: if you need to wait for 6-10 mins to warp there, do one or two armadas, then need to fly home to repair and fly back. Who has time for that? Then taking at least three docks so you cant do anything else.

• expansion cube: dont autoactivate the exo. Its a pain to organize that. We did them during event, not one time more.

I appreciate all the feedback and am sorry that you feel like this arc isn't for you. The theme of this whole arc, Legacy Part 1 and 2, is efficiency.

The month has provided the new ship, the Titan, which has sourcing right from the start, and while it can impact how long your ships stay out in the system hitting targets before repairing, it doesn't add additional content to engage in outside of the goals you're already working on

The Fleet Commander, seven of nine has skills that do a lot of the same thing

We also have an event store running to help people speed up the progress to any goals they are working on.

We're also working on revamping past events like the community has asked us to, such as Apex.

I'm sorry that you feel like the new content isn't for you, but the goal was to provide new efficient ways to interact with the content that is available already in STFC>

I think these types of efficiency arcs are great, but whereas the benefits in arc1 were fairly immediate (and there was a sense of very early improvement in grind) in arc2 it’s likely to be a few months for players who don’t buy the ship to gain benefits. It’s not clear atm whether the benefits will be as soon as the ship is built or it’s the start of another long grind before material benefits seen.
And I don’t mind not having new content, it’s more that the arc itself feels very flat when I and probably many players won’t feel any improvement for many weeks or months after the arc has already finished.

Like I said, it's not just this Arc, it's slowly becoming the whole game.

I do appreciate efficiency, and the Freebooters stuff was awesome. FC Seven will probably be the only positive I find in the Arc, though making her exclusively available via purchase, like so many things recently, is one of the things many of us find disgusting. The store used to be, and should be, a shortcut, not an exclusive path to anything.

I play this game because I love Star Trek. So for me, you have to find ways to do these things without screwing up who the characters are and what the ships should be. The Titan A isn't a support ship. You could've added those abilities to the Cerritos at a certain Tier, or via research or refit, and made the Titan A the ship it is in Picard Season 3. That's what you should've done. That's we expected as fans. It's what we expected from the Defiant, too. You took one of the most iconic ships and turned it into... I don't have a good word for it.

Certainly there are ways to do these things while maintaining the purity of the lore.

But as a tip; 50 parts via missions and the rest as a 50 euro package or another 50 days would have been a sign to the players that you are taking care of the critics! How much sense it makes to implement the 3rd support ship into the game, we leave aside! I won't ask how much more sensible it would have been to eliminate bugs! I think the event shop is great! If it weren't for the impudence of scopely that you can't get parts for the Vidar/talios. This was otherwise always possible. Unfortunately, your pathetic greed is causing more and more players to be annoyed. The worst part is that you do nothing to change it! When something good comes along, you ruin it again by making such impudent "offers" as with the subspace relays. Or by making it almost impossible to win individual rankings to get officers without spending massive amounts of money. I suspect it will be the same with 7/9. I got the titan-A and got regretful in a day. It is just like another officer giving extra dmg since the buffs are extremely costly to use effective and for a grind 4-5 min is nothing for real so i assume only useful during territory take overs for 10min slightly. So insignificant for such a prize and power. Not even that powerful as defiant or cherry imo.. but as graphical it is aesthetically good to get another ship that lays behind the curtain.. and really why -A.. Starbase research itself is good. No complaints there, the advantages for Cardassian armadas is there. Assaults worthless. With no level banding or limits on who can hit who... all we saw was the big boys going around and cleaning out all the little guys. Scopely has a chronic issue with PVP leveling, but even the chronic mismatch was completely ignored for this aspect of the game.

Basically, when our starbase gets attacked we rush to hit the undeploy and then hide for a day or so before putting it back out.

I’ve been playing this for a looooong time now. This arc is possibly the worst I have experienced yet……battle pass rewards are woeful. Before anyone starts the (because there is an event store/currency etc) So far…..having completed everything I still don’t have enough store currency for pretty much anything apart from an odd Officer shard. The currency drop rate/rewards are also woeful!
The Titan A…….another pathetic support ship. No thanks, I will build it in 100 odd days and probably never upgrade it as at my ops I already have too many g4 ships I am expected to somehow improve.

I guess what I am saying is you keep adding more and more things into the game that need upgraded yet the basic materials we need never become more readily available at the same rates.

While I am at it…..your 7/9 event is terrible. Do you really expect players to have not spent Fleet commander materials or upgraded the relevant building for what…..months since launch in case you drop a random event needing them to score……and the Borg chests you need to open for these same materials are all 2/3/4 day cool-downs. Fantastic!…..NOT.

When trying to do some epics in deep space, where only one for each faction is available, I personally think it’s too long to make people wait more than one hour until it can continue. There's really nothing "efficient" when everything you guys are releasing now is behind a pay wall or they have to wait 4 months to get a new ship. I bought the Titan and Seven, because I wanted to, and the ship is the only real sourcing of FC skill points since it takes 1 month for 1 level of Command Center. You have to understand the time vs effort aspect. If it takes months just to make any amount of progress on one thing, only to realize that it will take almost as long to upgrade it again, it kinda makes most people lose the desire to keep trying. Especially when, after months of working hard to make any minute amount of progress, suddenly you guys release something that could have made it easier...but we'd have to pay for it. That can kill desire to keep going.
I'm at the point of seeing first-hand the disaster of the g5 economy...God help us when 61-70 comes out, because clearly there is some major out-of-touch aspect between what we have to do to progress, and what the devs think is a "sensible" amount of time.
P.S. Please, for the love of Satan, make it easier to get survey parts! Either up the amount refinery gives, or just freakin' let us use latinum for uncommon ship parts!

The ultra recruit chest has lots of officers in it as it got more and more diluted over time. If you would split these up in several officers groups we could select more directly which officers we would like to source.

Im playing constantly for over three years now, take every chance i get, but still have 5/11 on T3 only. Its frustrating because you cannot focus on specific officers as constantly new ones are being added to the game.

In general we have so many useless officers as we dont have enough sourcing capabilities. TP are great but too few officers in that.

@tacit obsidian @royal solar if we are not going to get recuirt sms boards can you add an alternative to officer selection and spend events. Create a epic recuirt token that can be spent on ANY epic officers similiar to the transporter patterns. And then have a spend event for said tokens. Fist place gets 300 tokens, 2nd 250, 3rd 200, 4-10 gets 150, 11-25 gets 100, 26-50 gets 75 and 51-100 gets 50. This will allow players get any officers they need/want and would be great for tierig up others. The current officers you have been released the last couple months have been niche officers and not that great. And the Beauty is, you can keep this format for every spend event. And any new officers released could be purchased with these shards. Just don't allow them to be bought until after the first spend event. I have 3 months of mats saved up for a good officer I feel would be useful. The last one was hugh.

Also, as a side note, I have been pulling exos everyday for the last several months and I have not gotten a 300% damage armada exo or a 100% build exo in over 5 months. This is ridiculous. The pull chance is less than .5% every day and neither of these have been pulled.

And I have 3* rare 6chest pulls and have gotten no epic directives several times. This is also unacceptable. 0 epic directives period. Same with the uncommon armadas. I can't count the number of times I have gotten 0 rare directives. The randomness of things has gotten out of control and not in a good way. Every week now I am getting uncommon only mats from max refineries. Uncommon only. I had 2 today out of 6 pulls. Ridiculous. This is not bad, this is broken.

The game is getting worse and worse. I have not spend money in a while now and see no value to continue.

Ops>all in my opinion. The reason being is tou get far more resources the higher you go which makes catching up ships and research easier. If pvp was more balanced I would consider otherwise but most combat is over in 1 to 3 rounds and it doesn't matter what you have/do, you will win/lose before you engage.

The downside right now are the solo armadas. The jem Hadar are great but the borg blows. Just save them up until you get to a great spot with a couple really good ships. I am 46 and don't have the faction for the rare ship u want but I have the mats for 49. I could level my 42 ships or wait a couple months for the rare or push to 53 and get the 53 ships....and that is what I will do. The 50 epics blow compared to the 53's. And while the 46 are great for armadas and loot, they also will hold you back more. And once you go 5*...well, a different economy.

Ops will net you far more everything else. And the daily loot...WOW.

NEVER PULL the G4 rare boxes. You have the right plan there pally. Run the highest rares you can, and then 6 rare g3. Get the epic starts and pull EPIC g4. At least there you get more bang for you creds. The g4 rare is one of the worst values (in a game full of awful value) you can get.

Until you get to where you need rare tactical cores for your ACC, and can only get them from rare and epic G4 boxes. Then you're going to want to pull them from both or you'll be cutting off half your supply. Personally, I've been pulling them the whole time, which is why, at ops 53, I'll be there 3rd person in our alliance to reach ACC 50 and get the 7th alliance slot, before several people higher level.

After level 40 is when it gets really really easy to get g3 for ships. You’re done with buildings needing g3 and hopefully most g3 research as well, so ships are the only thing to spend them on, and you’re basically at peak g3 income, other than a handful of events that never gave much. Make sure you’re still mining and max refining g3.

I'd recommend not pulling any G4 armada chests until you've reached ops 49. It's there that the guaranteed RTCs drop in the highest amount.

I went to ops 40 with t4 epics and I’m glad I didn’t upgrade them early. What with all the new health bonuses being added, those ships can do stuff that would previously have needed an extra tier or two, and I’m upgrading them now with far higher efficiency, both due to existing research that I could access in the 40s, and because they’ve added more efficiency. I don’t know where this persistent myth that g3 dries up in the 40s comes from. I’m ops 44 and getting something around 1k of each uc g3 per week.

Just remember when you need your 3* unc for d3 to upgrade and scrap for the resources to be able to upgrade your G4 ship with it. You will have to make a choice, should i use the 3* unc for the d3 or shoed i use it for my epic G3 ships to level up to t9. Good luck ( coming from a lv49 with good research)

And how is that different from having to choose whether to upgrade your station or your g3 epic when you’re in your 30s? If you spent your g3 upgrading epic ships in your 30s, you will reach g4 close to a year later than you otherwise could, assuming f2p. I had no problems getting two 42s to t5 while upgrading 2 g3 epics and 3 g3 miners at the same time, and I’ll be done with the g3 epics by the time I need to worry about my g4 rares.

The 39 to G4 shift doesn't have a noticeable drop in G3 income. There are a few sources/events that will drop the G3 rewards, but they should not be a sizeable part of your total. On the contrary, there is a general increase in all G3 + G3 rare gas massively increases from Para Bellum at 42.

You should be aware that there is a marked increase in the paired officer auction SMS that will sometimes come with SLB auctions. I'd plan for these higher MS events, or skip them altogether since the payouts are tiny. In addition, competitors will have access to G4 mats and that will greatly deplete the value of rare/epic directives until your team can handle the content that funds your ACC's push from 39 to 45. I'd get enough to enable chaining max pulls of epic G3 armada exchanges, and hoard the rest to use when you're doing the 51e or 50e carmadas.

Pushing is up to you, but there'll be plenty of time to do G3 stuff while you're gathering G4 mats post 39. The longer you stay at 39, the more you complete the past content at the cost of your future income.

The only thing holding me off right now (because I accidentally started the build a couple of weeks ago) is that my vaults/warehouses are way behind.. like back at 35 so I’d have to get them up to get to 41… and it’s my understanding that you should basically go straight from 39-41, is this correct? I've seen people do that, but I didn't, and don't think it's necessary or even a particularly strong move. 40 is when you get access to some "free" primes via the G4 in loyalty chests and lets the Disco spit out 100D of speedups a week. I don't see you getting anything of note out of this by delaying. Sure, it allows you to compete in all the SLB events without gaps, but you've cost yourself a ton of G4 income to do it.

The things some are afraid of at the 39 to G4 shift actually happen at the 50-51 one. The 51+ bp drops all G3 mats, the current loss is ~2k a month compared to ops 50 players. Maybe it's meaningful to you if you're behind on G3 research. You will be earning G4/G5 mats for your future growth so you'll at least get something out of it. I've not fully explored the G4 parts issue, but one of the CCs has some content on it from what I've heard (Djz).

That said, the f2p game hard ends early on in G5. There's a mat that you can't really earn at all needed for ops development. Prior to that, at the soft end, 46s will probably be the last f2p ship most will be able to get. The 50s are possible, maybe a year and a half later, but I don't think anyone but the most dedicated of players could endure that drought. Without visible progress, I think people will be dropping like flies.

If you aren't f2p or l2p, then a lot of this advice isn't applicable to you. You'll be able to buy progress and continue on with the game. And it certainly doesn't mean they can't change the game with better mat sourcing as more reach the "ends."

Thanks that’s helpful. I’m a light spender, I think. Monthly elite, battlepass and the odd treasury. Speed ups/lat and materials are never plentiful but enough to progress in the 40s. Will probably wait and max more at 49 in the hope they improve the G5 economy assuming G6 will drop at some point. Have seen too many people rush to the 50s and then quit through frustration.
Am even considering saving for a G4 epic, as Ops53 feels a long way away.

Don't get a G4 Epic. Complete waste of Faction credits unless, by some miracle you get it from a full pull. Stick with a G4 Rare to carry you through to Ops 53 and then get a G5 Uncommon.

I did that and disagree completely. I've been held back on hostiles and missions for months, that my rare couldn't reach, while trying to get enough steel to get from 52 to 53 and then the additional trillions to get through the buildings to be able to build the shipyard. If you can get an epic from one faction while getting your G5 from another, that's the way to go. The only way skipping the epic works is if you raid a lot, which my server is too dead for, or you're going to buy your steel.

So what if you released the titan A sourcing day 1...when it takes 4 months to unlock it it ends up taking longer than if you have it unlocked in the event store that was typically 3 months away, if you couldn't get it sooner. The defiant had better time. Every shop released had faster sourcing!

I made the mistake of clicking on the first ticket event for gas without looking to see that is it 1 heroic officer shard and some tokens. I would have saved the ticket for next month otherwise.

I have hardly spend any unc+ mats in the last 2 arcs. I have enough mats to go from 46 to 49.

On our slb, top 2 are 30mil+ but it drops fast. Top 10 is under 7 mil. Top 25 is 3.1 mil. Top 50 is under 2 mil and to get on the slb 179k that is sad. Soooo sad.

I am 46 and I am going to stay at 46 to work on my researches, tier up my pilum, and build a newton. What is the point of level ops level when it will never end? They are just going to copy/paste X* to X*+1.

48 greatly increases Baj SA chest costs. Camping at 46-47 is a strong move since you have the same ships as most up to 52, with only some epic-getters with a better one.
