The worst part of daily goals is as you lvl up the points needed increases, but all the main rewards stay the sam as they were when you were lvl 1. That sucks scopley, increase the main daily rewards and add a bonus for completing everything in the daily goals list.

I am not usually one to complain (this is my 1st post in 3 years of playing) but I cannot continue playing stfc, when I have to restart the game 7-8 times a day or more. Today I had to restart 3 times in 10 minutes to get the game to function properly. By "function properly " I mean not having to resize the system view any time I open a menu tab. I don't want to be zoomed in all the way but the game keeps putting me there. I'm tired of targeting a red to attack, then have nothing happen. When I retarget, my ship jumps across the screen as if it was targeting the red after all. I'm tired of armada timers not displaying on the ship icon at the bottom of my screen.
There are more problems with this game every arc and not enough problems get solved from previous arcs. I'm honestly about done. @scopely fix your game. I've spent more money on this game than any other I've ever played but I'll not be putting another cent into it until you get your collective heads out of your own asses.

Cancelling the sisko auction is ridiculous. It’s like Scopely is trying to piss off the players. Some of us changed our game strategy for the last 2 sisko auctions. Do they not realize this? Hey Scopely, just some feedback. I'm a level 35 player. In my XSLB bracket, the #1 spot hasn't changed in 1.5 hours! It's a player on my server who doesn't even belong to any of the top 15 alliances and he's only got barely over 1M points!! At this point, if there would have been the Strike Team XSLB OR the Miles/Obrien one, that number would be at least double that and it would have changed people at least twice.

Here's the sad part, there has been some great fun in this arc. Cardassian armadas before the Gaila fiasco, the find the spy event is interesting, and I like the weekly quiz, and missions were fun.

The problem is you can't seem to get out of your own way. Numerous glitches, freezing, hostiles frozen unable to be attacked and don't disappear, the entire Gaila saga, cancellation of a major event 3 weeks after announcing it so people could prepare, and lackluster cs response times.

@vale wasp you all can’t possibly say with a straight face that you think this change is reasonable. Worf and khan have a ton of sourcing, sisko and miles have very little. Many of us planned our whole strategy around this. I would have gone for the Sisko Kira XSLB if we had known about this. Instead I waited, bought a pack, and even started my lvl 40 Ops upgrade yesterday to be prepared to instant it today and spend G4 in the event against the 39 bracket. I’ve been planning this since I read the calendar and it wasn’t changed until after the event started today. And even then the actual slb is worse than the announced one, strike team would have been still would have at least justified spending. So now you all say there will be an XSLB for Sisko in the near future. So should we hold off on ship upgrades. Do you all care so little for your player base that you don’t care at all about what you tell us, that you know we buy packs based on and plan around. And you all just take a giant 💩 And say the issue is you didn’t tell us before today. If you all think that’s the issue, You really don’t understand how to reasonably engage in commerce in a good faith way. Look up promissory estoppel and try to understand why it’s a concept. I’m sure the TOS disclaims it, but just because you avoid actual liability doesn’t mean what you’re doing is ok. And I recognize it’s probably not you personally making the decisions, but please make sure those who do understand who unbelievably F’d up this decision was and how their messaging about it only made it much worse, not at all better.

Honestly this is a scopley management issue not really an Eco one. @tacit obsidian has given us more updates and communications than we’ve ever seem to have had from scopley. He has been a good bridge getting many answers for us faster.

Mantis - they know about when they want to make it f2p but that information has not been allowed to be released. It’s not like eco was told and forgot to forward it.

Same thing with gaila, he sent out announcements and updates in a reasonable amount of time, but it’s not like he made the decision to nerf her.

Finally today was the one time eco has been slow on a communication. It was what 5-6 hours before he came on and sent out some official announcements and tried to respond to an angry discord. We were told he was unavailable and that makes sense. What does not make sense was that this was a “planned” thing which we would have normally gotten fair notice on. I’m willing to bet that had eco been home. We would have still only gotten the announcement just before event launch, not days ago.

Finally all your points are valid and are failures on scopley’s part. A series of bad decisions made by scopley employees/management that have driven away more and more players. Not to mention the technical problems.

@tacit obsidian can only announce what they allow him to. He can’t explain reasons that the company doesn’t want to explain. He can’t announce changes until they allow him to/even tell him a change is being made. Yet again what he has been able to give answers to or help the players get changes made has been excellent and doesn’t deserve your wrongly aimed criticisms.

He may not be the ones making the decisions but he is also the face of scopley so he IS responsible for what happens when it comes to announcements. Yes, others may make the decision about the mantis but he has had more than enough player feedback, and it is costing them far more money. I have know a dozen 40+ players who have already quit over this and more leave every other day.

While he did send out information about gaila, they broke laws by not making announcements first. It is a violation of contract because they packs for it. It is false advertisement. That is 100% on scopley and on him. They are required to make notifications first. They can put it on their terms of contract but that doesn't allow them to violate laws.

The spend event is NOT something that happened last second. And even if it was done behind his back and without his knowledge, someone else has access to his account, to this official account, and they could have made an announcement here or on their main website. Again, they broke their contract. They have told us what was coming and they changed it without notice or without warning. Players have spent money on packs. If this was free to play only, they can do whatever they want and there is no recourse. The second they sold anything, they are required to follow all sale laws, which they have not been doing.

This is no different than ordering a burger for 10 dollars and they bring you a chicken sandwich and say you have to pay 20 for it. Or you paying for an oil change with one specific brand and they put antifreeze in and then change the listed service. You can not do that.

And while he may not be the one making the decision, he is responsible for the communication here and he has failed.

You are 100% correct that he is only allowed to announce what they allow him too. But he is supporting it, so he is accountable too.

I'm pissed... This arc is total failure. Starbase still not working (and I bet it is not just our alliance... with CS saying that they cant unfix it), all the planning went to hell and game being unplayable from start of the Arc (not mentioning minor bugs where you have to remember all the workarounds and use them all the time)...
But as I mentioned at the beginning... It seems none listens and cares.

And I don't want to see any more excuses that "they are working on it". I have been working in IT for past 20 years... with smaller and bigger products... Products that sometimes interacts with dozens of different products (via APIs etc)... And debugging issues was never taking weeks (like with Starbase) - if it would take us that long we would have been out of business... This is the first time I use this Discord trying to express how I feel about you, Scopely: For having a game that must make tons of cash, your game development sucks BIG TIME compared to other pay2win games. Never encountered a game that has so many bugs and yet is so expensive

Believe or not. Most whales are pve players. They end up creating mining agreements with one another so they dont have to fight. They often refuse to fight one another. Basically, why spend 12b trit per fight with someone or 4b trit repairing a miner. The economy makes no sense for pvp in whale territory at basically a $1 a fight. In steps Scopely trying to get them to fight. If they cant make them fight each other, then force them to fight another server.

Last time I heard whales talk about it, it was costing them upwards of 2T or in real cash terms about $500 to participate in this resulting in many just actually getting spend fatigue and leaving or not participating

Going with your burger analogy, you are yelling at the person at the cash register when the kitchen swapped out the burger for chicken and then the manger walked over and said that it now costs $20 meanwhile another employee tells them that the food will be delayed because the brand new fryer they installed 2 months ago doesn’t work and they need to figure it out cause apparently no one tried using it till now….

You are yelling them because you are frustrated and they are the one who you are dealing with directly. Meanwhile they are looking back at you like, what do you want me to do? They have forwarded your complaints to everyone, gotten no answers back so can only repeat what they have been told.

Yet without eco, you wouldn’t even get that. You’d be ordering at an automated machine and waiting till your food was randomly delivered to you with 0 answers as to whats going on (like what happened).

At the end of the day is it right? No, of course not. But it’s how they treat their customers. Legal? You may have a case but then again you agreed to their terms and it will cost you alot more to fight it in court so maybe if you are a whale you can take the bullet for the rest of us? Hi @tacit obsidian I would just like to express the disappointment many people in my server feel over how the extended scoring lag was handled and what has been offered as compensation since. Anyone who logged a ticket has gotten a perfunctory box with some officer shards and that’s it. I know your team is aware this impacted entire servers and find it disappointing nothing has been sent out En masse, leaving the onus on us to lodge a ticket and wait. Your customer service team is also clearly overloaded given the extended response times and this is not fair on them either. On top of that, the box we did get completely ignores the other concerns many people have raised: missed faction credits, frequency modulators and all sorts of other things. My 7 day chest went back 2 days while the lag was going on. This is not even to mention the people who paid for the battle pass elite track in good faith and will not be able to complete it due ti the scoring lag. Could you please give me some kind of response to this? The entire event has been really disheartening and has made several players reconsider whether they continue playing this game. I will certainly not be spending any more money until this is resolved.

Okay, I've been holding onto this for a while, and today was the not-so-small-straw that broke the dam, so this is a rant.

Today was supposed to have a 2nd Incursions Preparation Solo Milestone. Why is this important? Because very few people who do not pay money can complete these outrageous Station and Research Power Increase Events. They would not be a problem if you permitted Officer Experience and Ship Experience to count, but you do not! So, here I am, unable to build another Uncommon or higher Grade 3 Combat Ship, and unable to complete the only milestones you offered to me! Do you see the problem yet?

Oh dear me, I guess this next round of Incursions is going to go smashing for me, so I suppose I will just sit this one out, instead of participating. I did, after all, reluctantly vote that I enjoyed the last round of Incursions, because I kinda was having fun, it wasn't too much of a chore. Well, you will get a flat out disapproval from me this time, as I'm stuck.

But seriously, my anger has been building for months! A couple months ago the entire month was filled with 2 day long rough milestones and leaderboards overlapping each other. It is not unreasonable to expect that compensation, which has been flagged multiple times here, would be considered as part of the process, instead of leaving the onus on the customer to continually follow up.

The most recent content is prioritised 'cos that's where the packs are sold. Old bugs go unaddressed because they're less likely to affect the bottom line.
Player turnover increases as people see the things that have been annoying them just stay in-game forever. Even a slight nod to quality-of-life improvements turns to utter custard like the proliferation of ❗ in the game that happened a couple of months ago. Some well-meaning dev probably got approval for doing something they thought the players would appreciate, and it backfired spectacularly because they simply didn't listen. The numerical suggestion list they ran for a while has completely disappeared, there doesn't seem to be any plan to work on any of those.

No, this is how the game is now, and it's only going to keep getting worse as old bugs are compounded by new content.

In order to receive blueprints for Crozier you have to do missions with enemies in systems @quasi bronze-400. Pretty useless since there is no ship before rare-G5 that has this range and can defeat an enemy with 35 Mio. power 😡. And once you have a ship that can reach that far you don‘t need these bps anymore 😏

Great having all these lovely ships but the sourcing of parts makes it near impossible to get them to high level within any sort of reasonable timespan (I mean on a free to play basis, one of the higher tiers on a lvl 42 ship would take a year to complete. I would also offer the same thought as I usually share; if at any point I am subject to significant real life impositions then do help yourself to my stuff, made up currency in a made up space game will not feature anywhere near my priority list. I will deal with that if I get to the fortunate position that it then becomes a concern. 🙂

The 3 day shield is welcome given the issues likely coming, but it's a bit useless if you don't know it's running. The game client gives no indication that it's already been up for 2 hours so I put up a shield on top of it. With the mentions of international things that happen to create as much chaos as Ian potentially is for our Florida US players, would it not make more sense to just give a few 7 day or even 30 day shields to all players everywhere to be able to use at their discretion in times of crises. While my area is not affected by hurricanes, my state has recently experience devastating events in the form of tornadoes and flooding. Everyone should have access to a few long term shields in order to protect assets that many have invested real $$$ into to play this game. It’s not like a few shields is going to affect the Scopely cash cow’s bottom line.

It's not my ship thats stuck, its all the "hostiles/reds" in the galaxy that are stuck. This makes ghost ships located all over the galaxy in every system in every server. Scouts, capital traders, apex, bounty hunters as well many other types.

The problem is that because some of these ship types are specialized only 1 may spawn in that system and since the ships are stuck, the system no longer generates these specialized hostiles like scouts and apex mantis as well as reducing the numbers of normal ship counts in the system.

This problem is faced by every single server in stfc. For four years now this has happened. Now that you have more specialized ships for systems then ever before it is very important that these ships not be stuck or it impacts peoples abilities to progress.

The solution is to reset all "reds" in server/galaxy every time you do monthly maintenance. Or fixing the bug that makes it happen.

Please i am begging you as a regular spender and daily player since November 2018, to finally solve this issue by either fixing the problem or making sure the stuck reds are reset monthly so that it will not continue to impact our growth as a world wide community.

Can you be the revolutionary employee that brings this permanent solution to fruition?

As the hurricane hits the southeast, are revisions going to be made to the shields for players who have evacuated or have suffered power losses? My alliance members in Florida have been told essentially to expect power outages for over a week in length. 3 days is inadequate in that case and with the change of date to our incursion, the shields will expire 5 hours prior to start of event as everything stands right now. I made sure to get my players in the line of the storm out of systems that will suppress shields before they went offline. I am trying to protect my alliance members who are unable to get online because 1) they physically cannot 2) there are more important things happening. One of my players said they would probably manually 7 day shield from a phone if necessary, but I know not everyone is going to want to use their battery on this game during a natural disaster.

You are missing out on the outrage. When it first went up everyone had the ops 60 pack, with 5* and 6* mats included, and massive rss. People who saw it just got most of the primes in game unlocked for a single pack.

As a pay to play player I am begging you for more free to play value. Those of us who pay to play often play within a budget and simply can't keep up the elite few, more inclusive free to play content in events please.
My free to play friends are a great value to the team and should be rewarded better for their participation and commitment to the game.
3 years ago I clearly remembered free to play players being more competitive than they even have hope for now. I would love to see Scopley recognize and honor the potential value free to play players have to offer everyone.

The game has steadily moved from pay-to-win to a model more akin to pay-to-play over that period. Yes, some content does eventually come out months later as obtainable at no cost, but the critical content does not, and the free content often has an almost insurmountable mechanism to obtain it. Take the Amalgam refinery for a blatant example of this. It's free by definition, but the payouts are not ever going to allow players to unlock the materials that they can get from it. After months of ownership after unlocking the free ship, I now have enough refined materials to buy 6 whole ship refit shards. With that 'free' mechanism it would take likely more than 3 years to get to one unlock. Wikipedia sums it up pretty well where "Free-to-play (F2P or FtP) video games are games that give players access to a significant portion of their content without paying or do not require paying to continue playing" I would argue that we have here is not truly free-to-play by any reasonable definition of the term, as there is zero mechanism to unlock large portions of content (research queues, build queues, repair queues, etc.) which are major roadblocks to player progression as new research content for example is added.

This is doubly frustrating because some content Scopley has gotten exactly right in release. The Discovery weekly task to then open up a reasonable refine reward every week is spot on. The Cerritos refinery along the same lines is similar. Cosmic cleanup to get to new ships 2-3 months after release is also a decent mechanism, but the timelines/cost for the blueprints there should be shorter given that there is already a built in delay to get these ships into the store. More decisions that get the content out for all players with timelines that are not years long is the only legitimate way to keep calling this a free-to-play game.

Not sure what you’re referring to. The rep pack doesn’t give credits to get a 3* epic ship which costs 180k credits. None of the faction credit packs are enough to get you a 3* epic ship. You’d need 5 of the new credit packs that are limit 2 and double that of the old credit packs to land a single 3* epic ship. It’s not consistent pricing because they don’t value the prints and credits the same way or they value the other contents differently thus the discrepancy.

The bugs are getting to be a but much. Stuck hostiles in each system. My ship has on several occasions been stuck in some kind of battle loop that reloading the game does always correct the error.
You might have issues related to the hurricane, if you do I appreciate your situation may be a little out of hand.
However, the game is borderline unplayable right before incursions and a large number of players won't be able to participate in the event on the North American server tomorrow.
With major bugs like this affecting the game and with a larger number of players who can't participate and may even pose a risk to thier server during the event... I ask that you cancel incursions this month and take the opportunity to clean up bugs and give those affected by the hurricane a fair break.

It’s broken (yet another bug). Sometimes the auto activate works, sometimes it doesn’t. Also, if you don’t clear localization before you start, a lot of times the exo’s don’t go into inventory, so you can’t even manually start anything. They never really finished the Mantis. Just threw it out there, sold what they could, then forgot about it and fixing any bugs it still has.

This game is in a really bad place and has really went to the dogs ….. it’s filled with countless bugs, constant disconnections, an incursion event that takes hours just to find ships to complete damage events, too many resource bottlenecks and an absolute monster of a God tier pvp crew that kills everything despite all the work/effort/money you have done.

First, let me say I know I messed up, but.... There should be no mechanism to allow an alliance to click on an armada that has already been started. I clicked on an Epic at the same time another player did. We all know the drill. It popped up a message, which I didn't read because I was more concerned with starting the armada before anyone else did. The message was likely the one that makes you confirm you want to spend your directives on an armada that has already been started. That message, in my opinion, should not exist. Only one start per armada should be the rule, period. I just wasted 250 Epic directives. Yes, I should have read the message, I am aware of that, but the way the Apex events go, you have to react quickly with the Epics and that makes it far too likely that a message will be ignored and a mistake made. This is wholly preventable by simply barring second starts in the first place.

Garak requires to be on a specific type of ship and a specific status to be applied to the opponent's ship to work which he can't apply himself (I'm assuming he works cumulatively like ST Una). So he requires a second officer to combo with. But ST Una only requires to be on a specific type of ship to work. NO combo required. Perhaps St Una should require the opponent's ship to be burning to work?

How does Kira ‘break’ armadas?

In some armadas when Kira is on the bridge, the armada cancels when the countdown runs out. The leader is charged directives but the armada is treated as if the leader wasn’t in the circle. Has happened to a few of mine (before the Kira glitch was identified) and has been described throughout this discord also.

@fallen epoch there is no ticket number that I can see and since it's over several reports from several people. Now I'm basically have to leave the game to stop it. They can run around and joke about giving people AIDS or calling others stupid for being disabled. If you argue it or get mad you get attacked which because that is pvp it's ok. We have to put up with disability discrimination because of a pvp loophole. Plus when I try to get in game to make a report it explodes with the title 5 glitch and nothing can be done. I'm tired of the glitches and CS ignoring the harassment of players

There should be one spending SLB in a BP and one in each FP. the mindset is already put into most players that if they have "expensive" buildings or research or ships to use resources on, that they need to save for the SLB. And most do that anyway. Good to have the occasional outlet for that, but to run them as frequently as last month is insane.

Scopely gave the impression that they would make gameplay that didnt require someone to spend countless hours on the game each day to complete. Fast forward not that long and Scopely has done the exact opposite - you have added three or four long term daily grind mechanics to the game in the last few arcs - without sunsetting or removing any of the old ones. If someone wants to actually progress in your game (without spending a fortune) you have made it a full time job for them at this point. You really should at least consider sunsetting some older grinds and providing the research mats from those as part of dailies or something - the outlaw faction chase, augment data mining, and borg probe grinds could all be replaced with simple rewards in our dailies or even daily chests that gave mats those grinds used to produce so that people can still do research, level the vidar, etc... at what point does STFC implode due to an incremental addition of mechanics without any cleanup or sunsetting?

I highly recommend that if you want to keep releasing new content, you make older things less time consuming without having an enormous paywall. Examples:

Make the vi'dar refit more accessible and improve its ability

Greatly Improve away missions payouts for things like parts and raw materials

Add away teams missions for things like Actian venom, security codes, etc

Add more f2p accessible refits/research that improve hostile loot rates, chest drop rates, rep gain, etc.

Improve/update loot chests in general.

Add efficiency research to refineries

Add ability to launch armadas at leader's will

The new arc is even worse than the last few. Another complicated stupidity with little play value. It detracts from the fun of the game. Instead of having fun with my alliance peeps, I have to grind alone for hours and puzzle out some arcane wizardry. Give me something I can use a Batleth on, or a well stocked ship, and let me work with my alliance to take on bigger challenges. Let us have a clean path to growth and opportunity even if we haven't yet won the lotto. Otherwise you'll continue to bleed players.

Game became something very complicated. Tons different currencies, lot of grinding, factions and etc. Every BP, they are adding more currencies. I don't think they care where the games heading but milking more money.... it's not fun anymore.
On top of everything, bugs, lag, downtime, retriving, scoring not working. They release a pack, people start buying, then they remove it, nerf it and re-release it.
Customer service is awful, they close tickets even without replying.
Game is not fun anymore, this is my last BP. I am done. you lost a paying customer.

We've ALL tried, to tell you, and Scopely, that the most important thing they could do right now, to keep the players happy, is STOP RELEASING NEW CONTENT THAT ADDS HOURS TO THE GRIND, and FIX THE BUGS. We get ignored. I don't know what the reasoning is by Scopely management, if it's a "grab cash before we shut down" or what. Incursions has cost my server over 30 players, who just quit. This new arc and bazillion new currencies to grind and bazillion new bugs to put up with is likely to cost many more. Last month was a dumpster fire. This month you're just piling more and more crap in the burning dumpster.

If we had released a product ONE time with the bugs Scopely has in every release, we'd have all been looking for jobs. I realize what normal people call "devs" Scopely calls something else, their "devs" don't write code, but WHOEVER is writing this code needs to be replaced, along with their ENTIRE leadership.

When we say "stop new content!" we're telling the "devs" to not get paid, because they have nothing to do with the code... Somewhere, someone, at some level of management, is over BOTH the "devs" and the "coders" (and "customer support" which is also pathetic) - THAT person needs to step up, get more managers under them to actually crack down, be replaced... SOMETHING.

Lower level players have been excluded from enjoying the new Solo Armada feature because even the lowest level target is way too strong unless you have a minimum of 4* ships to throw at it.

40 and 43s aren’t the lowest levels, they’re meant for g4 players. Upto ops 39 you only need four lvl 35 armadas over the four day event, and those are easy as long as you have an epic ship, and just about doable if you don’t.

The reason I ask is my Daughter got one for her account, but I did not get one for mine. Now I primarily use the PC to play, with limited on my Mobile, but she is 100% mobile. So I am wondering how players are selected for feedback?
