wrong, S2012 was using the still in development Xray 2.0, it was never finished, because S2012 was never finished, in 2018, they knew that continuing work in Xray 2.0 meant basically doing 5 years of work to catch up to the place that other engines were and didn't do it
Xray 2.0 is broken, all the attempts to continue it are on hold as community developers who commited are spending time on their own projects as, updating and finishing 2.0 is basically just making your own engine

One thing that is disappointing about old version (granted to actually have it vs not lol) is that the new version of the lamp includes an on/off switch + power button which exist as fake knobs on the 1st wave edition, there even seems to be a speaker cutout on the bottom. Very much seems like they rushed the end of 1st wave production so they could actually get some out for release,

I saw it as cool opportunity to finally have some official Stalker merch which of course is incredibly few & far between so as much as it is frivolous, all of the items really were above my expectations for quality. It's a niche thing to have in the first place of course for people to go for those but always you'll have the whales, still I think it's unfortunate for those who didn't receive them because it's pretty neat stuff. For the superfans to have that as well as the board game is neat to finally have some irl Stalker loot from GSC directly
