- Marked one in the Guardian of Freedom armor having the same model as in Wind of Freedom.
- Modified merc suit not having additional armor as description indicates.

- Bugged bloodsucker val_sos_bs in DV not activating when needed, because simulation sends him elsewhere and it stays ofline all the time and sometimes breaks the quests at the Army Warehouses. I sent them screenshots of fixed functions from bardak's bugfix, hope it's enough for them to fix it.
- Typos and mistakes in spawn_sections.ltx
- Typos in the logic of Skinflint and arsenal guard in gulag_mil_freedom1.ltx.
- Kruglov being afk after finishing the questline in the Yantar, sometimes blocking the way to Sakharov because of it.
- Elite artifacts not appearing in npc inventory or dropping from wooden boxes.
- Wrong name of npc logic section in gulag_radar.ltx.
- One of Marked One's notes saying about npc from builds (Psycho), while this npc is absent in the main game. I advised them to retcon this note and add Barkeep instead of Psycho. Also there's a note that should apply after the meeting with Doctor, when Marked One finds out he's Strelok. I mean, he makes notes about less important things but completely ignores such an important event in his life, looks like this note should be there.
- Missing part of the map of Wild territory.
- Lights reflecting on the surfaces or under the legs of npcs during the daylight.
- Wrong PDA icon of C-Con representative.
I haven't reported any bugs from all.spawn.
Yeah good stuff. Re 25: there are about 50+ build/cut content remnants in SoC & CS. Lots of localization changes needed.

so uhh… what's with the Anomaly release on GOG? that's just about the weirdest move GSC could've pulled in any timeline.
the implications are rather unnerving. it's obviously meant to drive sales for the EE of CoP, which won't happen because Anomaly was already a standalone release, but what's the point in the first place? I really hope it's just corporate greed, not desperation. and I hope they're not hyping up the next patch for nothing, otherwise there's going to be a huge backlash.

I was traveling from dark valley to yantar in CS.
When I load from dark valley to garbage, it triggers an emission. I run over to the bandit base and wait 5 minutes for the emission to end.
After it's done, I walk over to the loading zone to agroprom. After I load in, immediately a new emission. So now I'm waiting at the stalker camp in agroprom for another several minutes.
I just wanted to make a quick run to yantar to sell my artifacts

Yes, with an exception of when the storyline quests in that area haven’t been completed yet
And the chance goes up every time an emission does not happen, until it’s pretty much guaranteed
You will always get an emission if you go back and forth 9 times lol. No timer. Can spam them instantly.
Yeah it’s lame, it’s clearly an unfinished system. Proper emissions don’t appear til cop.
I can tell, I've been getting hammered with emissions now because I've been going back and forth satisfying my loot goblin tendencies

Seems like a pretty good patch, but I have to test it first and unpack the files to see what's there
Well they fixed bugged bloodsucker in dark valley, dead duty counter seems to be fixed too, but many things I reported weren't touched yet. Merc suit still doesn't have increased bullet protection, armor piercing bullets of some calibers still deal the same damage as standard bullets...

Well that's odd, I was already using mouse side buttons in all 3 games since a week ago without issues
They did not appear in controls properly.
They appeared as "mouse5" and such for me

Nice, but still needs to go all in on fixing fundamental issues, even if it comes at the cost of corrupting saves. It's a necessary evil but it's what holds EEs back compared to OGs + fix mods.

That would be great. What I did is a lame fix to make sure NPCs won't die, but it's not a way these things should be fixed
Btw they did something with sawn-off bm-16 and now it's idle animation doesn't work at all. I mean, it usually moves slightly when Marked One breathes but now it's motionless like a statue

Interesting, does anyone know what was the "mutants bug" that prompted the minor patch 1.3.1 fix?
It looked like it was badly translated and it was just meant to be a fun way to express that it was a general bug fix patch. Like not a bug related to mutants, but a bug "caused" by mutants.
Is the NPC accuracy bug still present in EE? When NPCs had only 20% probability of hitting the player even at veteran and master difficulty levels
The 100-rank accuracy cap has been fixed, I’m not sure the difficulty level hit probability being low is a bug…

Pretty sure it's distance based. Shotgun zombies were some of the more lethal enemies when I played through the whole trilogy in EE last week, simply because they hit like every single shot
I mean as in the difficulty might make them more accurate at longer distances, but at shorter ranges they were really accurate. I played on veteran.
defines.ltx from SoC. At master difficulty probability that npc will hit you is 50, but due to a bug only the value from novice difficulty is used. At least it was like that in vanilla. But it feels like the bug is still present.

Hi, have you encountered a visual bug in Clear Sky EE (patch 1.3.1) that when you move, a lot of pink/blue/green lines appear on the screen, especially near the bases with many NPCs (but not limited to it)?
For me happens both on FSR and DLSS native resolution, but maybe it's not related to it specifically. Also, reloading the saves doesn't fix it.
I don't use any mods

I hope so. I'm almost done with Shadow of Chernobyl, and the last time I finished, I wanted to try Clear Sky. It was such a bad start, though
Once you get out of the swamps I love clear sky
I think the only game which had an ending I enjoyed though was CoP
I would recommend 2 things: 1) try to destroy every box and stash you have, and find all of those that you get coordinates from bodies
2) whenever you complete a mission, go back to your base so you get the reward, get better equipment and upgrade the one you have
The start gets much easier with that. I wouldn't call it rough, but it is if you are only focused on capturing all the control points instead of capturing, going back, upgrade, explore and go back to fight again
I don't think the spread has been fixed, although I can't test that for sure, but you can of course improve weapon accuracy

now for the big problem ... How does one get past the machine gunner when first coming to the Cordon? Master difficulty
Master difficulty? Pray the lord you can actually pass (it's possible but really difficult)
For an easier option, just go back to the southern outpost in Swamps (go from Swamps, otherwise, I think you don't get the level transition), then go straight to the northern side of the map and go to Cordon through there
if you just want to pass through, start running to the left and keep on going while healing a lot
I actually did it ... Ran forward to the 3 large boulders, hid. Machine gunner stops shooting, I run. Run like hell, and heal the same lol

I played the original version and the accuracy on the starting pistol and the shotgun was abysmal. Idk if I'm just better now than I was, but I'm having a much easier time actually hitting things

Only problem now is that any shot, at all, with a pistol from a distance is not connecting whatsoever

There is a limit after which shots disappear. In SoC all pistols only shoot for 50m. I don’t remember the number off the top of my head in CS but it’s probably similar.
It seems to be less in CS, but that could just be my FOV and depth perception in the game

Im on my 1st playthrough on Stalker SoC (OG edition) and I just got to the bar and met up with kruglov, but ive realized now everyone doesnt speak russian anymore. Is there any reason why? Is it a bug? Is there a fix? It really ruins my immersion.
Have you checked if the language has been changed for some reason? Or if you hit something that may have triggered it?
The language changer should be on properties, if you right click the game on steam (if you are on steam)
I dont even have the option to change a audio or writing language in the game so no
the language on properties is at english. However that was always the case and npcs still spoke russian. Ive tried putting to russian and it just changes the written parts to russian

So I just completed SoC Enhanced Edition. As far as I remember, after ||destroying C-Consciousness||, I could just play the game from there and have the things in my inventory that I had up until that ending. Idk if that makes sense. This time, that wasn't the case. Am I remembering wrong?
Yes, you are remembering wrong. There was never a "freeplay" mode after finishing the game. The mod ZRP offered it, so if you used that, thats why you could

Idk if you need to be close to the wall for it to explode, but just be fast, you cant do much about it
Actually, the wiki says that you dont need to keep Skull alive. Idk if another duty member will give you the reward or you automatically finish the mission if they get killed

I'm a bit late but I would always accept Freedom's mission to take out Skull and his men, and then betray them when we got there, killing all of the Freedomers that came on the mission. Since they can't really return to the base now, there will be less resistance during the quest to kill Lukash.
Nah, siding with Freedom is much more interesting, especially the earlier you do it.

I sadly did succumb to the monolith on my first SOC ending, I had no idea the two paths were relevant and basically did all of the Strelok stuff just to succumb anyways💀💀💀💀 so on my second playthrough of SOC after the main trilogy. I will do all of streloks missions, and likely join freedom for flavour of gameplay once I've done everything before Rostok. Happy hunting, stalkers🙏

I found a way to avoid dealing with the army gunner on master until equipped to a more suitable standard. I went back through the swamps, through the north exit, then used the guide over at the Loner base to get to village center 
Stashes and maybe side quests. That's about it
Yeah, thats actually a way to do it. I could even consider it a dev intended way to do it, because when you go through the other side, Sidorovich's message pops up too

if you just started, there is a map near Nimble where Clear Sky marked all the anomaly fields on Great Swamps that appeared after The Great Emission, you can use it to locate artifacts

The way artifacts repopulate in CS is a little weird but I pretty much just recommend searching anomaly fields on each map whenever you are in the area
"A little weird" as in "downright atrocious" & "treated as an afterthought", which imo is a crime for STALKER game.

I've thought artifacts didn't respawn in CS for a solid 15 years
I've never had them respawn on my playthroughs. Perhaps if you spend a disproportionate amount of time in the game, you may find new ones.

They don’t, they respawn exactly 48 in-game hours after being picked up
And time spent on other levels doesn’t count
Ive had it happen on Garbage for sure on my last playthrough, but yeah only maps you will spend significant time on

There is also a bug where timer overflows or breaks in some way idk but I’ve seen them not respawn even after 5h

Found so many cool bugs recently while working on EE 1.3.

A lot of stuff submitted after 1.3.1? Just curious for when 1.4 would be released, how many fixes would be in it!
I sent a hotfix diff (1.3.2?) back in the beginning of november with just improvements for existing edits and fixes for regressions (like the one you pointed out with Tolik, a few more issues with monolithian quest in SoC, the skybox issue in CS, some texture stuff). Back then I've got a reply that it's going to be looked at "next week", I am yet to receive an update on that a month later. GSC did say pretty explicitly that they have plans for further support so I don't think that's it for EE, but still weird it's taking that long to get back.
I got like ~150 fixes ready to be sent for 1.4 but a lot of them are engine edits so it would require good testing to see if those even apply to the updated EE engine. They may not. A few fixes I prepared for 1.3 did not go through because engine is that different (e.g. I tried to fix loading bar behaviour in SoC and CS being borrowed from CoP, i.e. filling from left to right instead of simultaneously from both sides).
I really do hope they get back eventually because it would be very disappointing to leave EE in its current state.
Thanks for all the work and effort put in! I recall they were saying that it will be updated, but obviously it is a low priority compared to PS5 release, 1.7 bugs, DLC, engine update and further updates to s2 beta...
I wish the OG trilogy could be something I could recommend to people not familiar with the series and not feel bad about it...

mtb position out of memory...this issue ive only in stalker call of pripyat ee edition.Anyone see this issue?and i guess some quests dont go on normally after i get this error after some hours of playing.its somehow isnt gamebreaking bug so far coz only in zatom but as i write earlier some quests dont go on or finish like usual.

you know those flickering error graphics you get when you card is dying? well, I'm getting this on EE with both FSR and DLSS. The closer I get to ultra performance, the more it happens, with ultra performance being the worst of this. And I don't think my card is dying tbh, doesn't happen in super heavy games either. Does anybody else has this issue? CS EE btw, max settings

If you mean common dogs, just shoot them, shotguns work best, or aim for the head with any gun really

They are continuous and never-ending, so if you see someone asking for help because X faction is taking over for the 30th time and you dont care about it, then don't even bother if you dont want to
All factions respawn, so you wont press their presence to 0
And its possible that they take all the places you've taken again, or at least try to.
I would personally only do the faction wars for the rewards you get for "taking down the important place", or just because you like to shoot everything that moves

You can compare OG CS and EE CS on same settings. On my 4090 i9 I get 400+ FPS in OG SoC and 190FPS in EE SoC on average.
And no, it's not because of fancy new graphical features, I made sure to disable everything to make them graphically the same.
And this is considering that EE has multithreadding (up to 8 threads, compared to at most 2 in the original) and it's on 64bit
It's weird how fans can do better than this.
Pretty sure they say they redid the lighting completely or at least somewhat. So even lowest options are not going to be the same as the OG, obviously

I have two issues with CoP:
- it’s a game made entirely like it was a conceived a year before its release where game designers were told to follow the docs down to the last sentence, so just entire vision of two devs instead of creativity of every person touching the product, and it shows
- it’s a game about branching choices that is kinda meant for replays, but everything outside of quest system is very one dimensional and uninteresting on subsequent playthroughs, lack of radiant quests, predetermined stashes allowing you to cheat progression once you know where to go, and so on

If you didn't join any faction and they are already hostile, there's no way to change that

@eager fossil please release at least the last patch with whatever fixes there were made... It is hard to promote or recommend the game when playing original is a must, but then you have to explain why you're recommending original games with fix modes instead of freshly released "enhanced"...
Especially with DLC coming soon - you'd want more people pulled into franchise, not turned away by never addressed bugs or stories of never applied fixes.
I remember that when I was playing CS back in the day it was the buggiest part of the trilogy. Was this somehow addressed in LotZ version of the game or is it just enhanced graphics with some QoL? From the back of my head I was especially frustrated by freedom exo not working after full upgrade and waction wars bugged as hell.
EE versions has some bugs fixed and some new bugs added. In general I would say it’s more stable (less CTDs) but more other smaller issues.
Freedom exo bleeding regen bug is fixed. Faction war bugs are not addressed.
Armor upgrade for exos still not fixed, devs only fixed the description

Can anyone confirm whether NPC and mutant population density has been reduced in Call of Pripyat: Enhanced Edition? A friend is playing through Zaton on Xbox Series X and says the area feels much more empty than the original PC release. Is this an intentional change in the Enhanced Edition, or could something else be affecting the spawn rates?

The “optimization changes” only apply to Switch version, not EE. They reduced the number of monolithians above Lab X8 and put a cap on the number of zombies during CS cooling station quest.
There aren’t any intentional changes to Zaton area, but it is possible there might be a bug that causes the same code to be executed differently (there are many bugs like that in EE due to differences in LuaJIT)

Sadly not. I did show him some nine‑year‑old footage from the original, and it really wasn’t much different. He may simply be misremembering. He’s a senior, so it’s understandable. 😉
I think it is the case of false memories then. When EE first released people “spotted” many “differences” that weren’t actually any different.
Some claimed the new bugs (that were over a decade old), others praised the quality of environmental textures even though those stayed unchanged. You get the idea.

I think you must do it at night. It might (?) be possible but between the military patrolling a lot and the janky and almost inexistent stealth system, you'll reload a save so much thag it'll be night by then

Is it weird that I think some of the glitches in the EE are actually super cool? I mean, the enhanced edition downgrades the game in a lot of ways, (a lot of ways, I mean, it’s actually pretty horrible in many aspects) but some of the glitches are actually kinda awesome. Like Twig and Leshiy being at the Barrier, it makes them play a more important role rather than just being random goons that do nothing, and gives extra support during the barrier mission. Especially Leshiy, because Leshiy is way cool. It also means you don’t have to fight all of Freedom at their base when you take the mission to kill Twig for Petrenko. Or Clumsy and Vampire going to Rookie Village, it makes the starting area more unique, allows for help during starting quests (while doing the quest for Wolf where he has you take out the pigs at the farm, Clumsy will likely assist) and Clumsy arriving first and Vampire following him after is kinda entertaining for some reason. It populates Rookie Village with actual characters and makes the later mission from Barkeep with Vampire cooler. I also thought Nimble returning the Car Park with Petruha was pretty cool before they patched it.

and I’ve strangely never seen an NPC go through that tunnel ever. They always try to go through Kuznetsov, and if you’re not in the area they’ll just make it through with no explanation
and it’s mainly because I like seeing Clumsy actually do something as he was an actual bum in the original release

I mean, having named guards is cool, but Leshiy and Twig serve pretty much no purpose besides to fight and die. Having them participate during the barrier mission just makes more sense to me

It’s not. :( They did not get a chance to test my hotfix diff (was about 20 fixes total across the series) so I asked to at least have the two most important ones in.
Bleeding reversal and CS quest soft lock, the other fixes are by GSC
Either way don’t worry, this isn’t end of the road though, what wasn’t fixed now should be incorporated into later patches.
This long gap between updates seems to be related to the fact that the Enhanced Edition support team has changed. Just one hotfix in nearly six months... That's strange.

i think master at least in ShoC and CoP are really good difficulties and you get used to it quite fast, yes you might need a bit more prep but it's not frustrating...now CS is a different story, it can become quite frustrating but so long as you enjoy the gameplay go with any difficulty you wish
Clear sky was rough at first for me on master, it's largely because of the change in how bullets work I believe. I replayed CoP on master last year and it felt so easy 😭
that is one of the roughest changes...and that everyone later becomes addicted to grenades haha

So I'm play CoP enhanced and got to pripyat and just wiped out the monolith at the bookstore. After you return to the laundromat isn't Garry supposed to tell you about some mercs? After returning to the laundromat he doesn't say anything to me. Is this a bug and should I try reloading an earlier save?

Hey @zenith pendant, do you know anything about the bug of original SoC that caused NPCs to have an equally low chance of hitting the player on any difficulty level? Was it fixed in EE? Because it feels like it wasn't.
EE engine is a black box, it's not been leaked and nobody knows how it implements things. Even I do not have access to it - I've had a chance to ask for specific files of engine code to be able to generate diffs for fixes properly, but it's like asking a single page from a book. So I do not have a way of finding out other than just observing it in gameplay the same way you do.
That said, I know there are config files that aren't read by the engine, but I am not sure if it's a bug. Many things were intentionally disabled, one would have to look through the repo to see if it ever worked correctly or not.
