If you want to use the lav mic, I recommend getting RTX Voice or something similar.
Mostly you go by recommendation unless you already know the qualities you need.
If you want the little Lav Mic I recommended (I just bought one so I know it's quirks)
Then I recommend you enable RTX Voice, or something similar.
It picks up EVERYTHING
Keystrokes, mouse clicks, everything.

So, I just recently sampled every one of my headphones and IEMs through my Meizu Dongle.
And here's my thoughts.
UR40s: Good, but that lack of any major bass punch is kinda killing them now that I listen to them more.
Porta Pros: Current favorite, well balanced in my ears, more bass than UR40s
ZS10 Pros: I don't know how to feel about them, they feel almost... trebly.
IM50's: Even though they are a bit muddy, they aren't so muddy that I can't stand them.
PC37X's: Enjoyable, almost enough slam to enjoy fully, but since I have my little lav mic, I don't really need the mic part of them.
HD558s: They feel... muddy and almost.... Distant? But at the same time there's still detail and separation of instruments.
M50X's (With Brainwavs Pads): Holy mother of tin. These things are tinny AF. Will shelve permenantly.
The ZS10 Pros and IM50's are IEMs

Yeah, Dynamic Mics tend to be more focused, while Condensers can pick up more, but sound a little better.

depends on the mic but typically you’d have to put dynamics a bit closer to you but really you shouldn’t have the mic really far from you regardless the type you use. dynamics are often used for podcasts, recording some instruments, stage mics, while condenser is often for recording vocals and instruments in well treated rooms
