Have you tried deleting the ACNH software and redownloading it again? that's usually what is recommended by the system when it finds corrupted data

How roommates work is that the main “host” client has to already have a house, then you invite one other client either from the beach or from any of the facilities.

You can also summon clients you’ve made homes via the facilities menu (left on dpad when in a facility) or via amiibo.

what is the actual difference between species in your villagers in the game, aside from just them looking different? do the villagers ever talk about it?

were you doing any backwards time travel during that period? that'll remove the blooms even if you're within the correct time period and causes them to need an extra day to re-bloom as normal.

nothing, the thing that differentiates villagers is their personalities. species changes their appearance and the specific instrument type that plays when you talk to them, but that's all really.

in the interest of clarity i went to December 12th (snow cover starts December 11), planted a Holly sapling, checked back on December 15th and it was fully grown with blooms as normal. I also dug it up and planted a full-grown Camellia next to it, and the Holly still had blooms while the Camellia didn't.

I'm guessing backwards TT is the culprit here, or you had a stage 3 holly that appeared full grown but was not yet.

So I had fully grown holly bushes on my island, I dug them up and they were in my pockets, I time traveled to winter (forward, not backwards) and re planted them but they did not appear bloomed. I had to time travel again, this time backwards, to plant them again before going into winter season and that’s how they bloomed for me in the winter

It might be a glitch on my game 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m really not sure why it did that

I've basically been yo-yoing through time as I've been getting set up through these first weeks of game (new player), doing some light time-travel 1 day at a time forward whenever I've pretty much wrapped all I could do for a day and told to check back the next. well (as you probably know) villagers from mystery islands do not come gifted, so he had to have been given those items from someone. if he had a birthday recently that you allowed visitors for, or if you have a second player on your island, both of those are viable explanations. otherwise i couldn't figure out why a mystery island vil has gifts, unless he was somehow actually an autofill.

Yes they will grow normally as long as you follow the tree growth mechanics. Free spaces around it, no cliff or buildings beside it or another tree, bridge or incline

Ah you have to progress further. The more you decorate houses more clothing are unlocked until after house 27 when you can use your whole nook shopping catalog to dress up villagers

The 12 clients are, in order of priority, Eloise, Olivia, Julia, Willow, Friga, Blanche, Cleo, Vivian, Purrl, Bree, Blaire, and finally Tasha, i.e. if you have Eloise on your main island, Olivia will be your first HHP client, and so on.

If you use custom designs in a customer’s house but then have to erase it at some point in your game, does it erase the design used in the DLC ? I haven’t erased any custom design myself but i think it will have the same effect like in your island. The design will be white when deleted or it will be replaced with a new design you overwrite it with
