Question about deleting a character...

I created two extra profiles on my switch to order extra items per day, but I now need the space their tents were occupying so I am deleting the characters.

I deleted the profiles from my switch thinking that would automatically remove all traces of the characters from my town, but I just read you actually have to delete the characters within the animal crossing game.

So what do I do now that the profiles are deleted and I can’t log into animal crossing as them to delete the characters?

You can either straight up refuse... Or you can accept, and open the gift before delivering it: this will prevent the recipient from storing it

Not really, you'll get slightly less friendship points than if you delivered the gift as-is, but you won't lose any

No, if it's not part of his default house layout, then it must have been gifted at some point, either directly by you, from a delivery quest, or as birthday gift (from you or a visitor)
