The main issue with nintendo hacks lie in having your payment deets stolen. If a copy of your single player game gets stolen that won't actually affect you, So long as you back up regularly there should always be a copy on the web for a 'just in case' scenario regardless of whether you have your account compromised

I havent done a backup because I can't be bothered yet. But a backup wont affect anything you are doing on your switch, it will just exist on the cloud until a time when you decide you need it. There should be no negative effect of having what is more or less a single player game stored online. You can't lose anything really lol

Should I restart my island?
When restarting, you will lose all of your DIYs and catalog. The start of the game is very tedious and people tend to forget this when resetting.
It is easier to remove everything and flatten your island.
Restart only if you don't like the position of your RS, airport, river ends, northern beach, etc.

iirc plots can take up to a month to fill if you MIQ is empty, has it been more than that ?

It's a percentage chance that a plot will be filled each day if no villager is in the MIQ

the MIQ is always 4 villagers slot. If you trade a lot it must be filled regularly

• Is the 6th villager from campsite mandatory? Yes, it will always be a random Smug villager.
• Do I need an empty plot to invite the campsite visitor to live on my island? No. They will suggest a random villager to replace.
• Does it matter if I lose the mini-game? No, you can lose an infinite number of times. If you want to recruit them, keep talking to them.
• If I invite the camper and they replace the villager, will that villager be in boxes? Yes. They will be in boxes same day (See Yue's Handbook) and can still be "adopted" by another player.
• Are camp visitors personality dependent? Yes, if you are missing a personality in your island that personality will be more likely to appear at camp.
• Can the new villagers (Raymond, Sherb, Audie, etc.) show up as campsite visitors? Yes, any non-special villager can visit as long as they do not already live on your island.
