Iirc, you can plant a sapling on the edge, but it won't grow. If you are trying to move a fully-grown tree there, you won't be able to. You cannot put one right next to a cliff either, it needs to be, I think, 2 (if not 3 spaces) away from the cliff.

You need to see shooting stars on a clear or mostly clear night. Don't have any tools at hand and look up at the sky, if you see a shooting star (it'll be pretty obvious) press A and it'll get brighter. You can do this 20 times and they will show up at your beach the next morning. Sometimes Isabelle will announce heavy star nights

so i was trying to do that make-your-own tarantula island thing out of an NMT. i came to the island around 6:45pm, and now it’s 7pm (when tarantulas spawn). but will they still spawn even if i came earlier than 7? cause so far they’re not spawning.

Unfortunately the Nook Mile island keeps the spawn pool of the time you arrived as far as I'm aware, so if you came before their spawn time then it won't be possible for them to spawn even after the time passes.

The tarantula spawning method in general doesn't work near as well as it did in the very beginning anyway due to updates significantly lowering the spawn rates, unless you find a specific island where they spawn, which aren't easy to come by.

After they move, they'll still be able to use their current NookPhone and all the apps installed on it. Although we should have a chat about the custom designs saved in one's Custom Designs app. Moving to someone else's island will cause all designs to be overwritten with those of the new home. Please keep that in mind if anyone is moving to a populated island!
