Past that point there isn't any one main goal, there's long term stuff like filling the museum or collecting recipes, trying to get favorite villagers, or just general decorating. May still need to farm nook miles if you haven't unlocked land and water construction in the island designer.

The hotel doesn't take too long to build up and adds a lot of extra temporary villagers

There is the campsite method the villager will still be random but if your missing a personality it's more likely the camper will be the missing personality

Not sure if this helps but they only show up on regular hardwood trees so not fruit or cedar ones

For wood : be sure to not cut the trees, use a flimsy or stone axe, each mature tyree will give you 3 woods. pine have a slighter chance for hard wood, hardwood trees a slighter change for oftwood and palm trees have a slighty better chance for normal wood.
For minerals : never break your island rocks, only one respawn everyday, until you have 6 on your island. be sure the 8 tiles around to rock a free of items, block yourself with shovel holes so you can hit it a lot. Rock on mystery island have a higher chance for iron.
Don't forget the balloon, sometimes they contain materials. Hope this helps

No unfortunately, the only way to "personalize" their houses, TRULY is the HHP method, but that costs money.

Can I get that by inviting any of those villagers to the campsite and hope to get any of those DIY?
Or do they just give a subset of their possible DIY at the campsite, it seems to repeat a lot between a few DIY.

Nope that's not possible. Trees can only drop 100 bells. You probably forgot about a yellow balloon you shot, unwrap the gift, but didn't put the bells into your wallet. Yellow balloons can (extremely rarely) contain a bag of 30 000 bells.

As for bell trees that you can plant, you see the bells bags when they are fully grown on it, same as fruit trees, this is another mechanic.

Of course, they can only spread on empty direct (sided and diagonal) adjacent cells. If there is any kind of obstacle, they just can't spread over it. If you want to keep their surrounding cleared, you can also put fully transparent patterns around these flowers.

For the "Snowmaestro" Nook mile, you need to build one perfect snowman to unlock it, and 20 ones to complete it entierly.

For the "Flea Flicker" one, you need to catch a flea. From April to Nov. (Northern hemisphere) or Oct. – May (Southern hemisphere), villagers can rarely get fleas. You would see tiny black dots jumping from them. When it happens, just smash them with your bug net and you will catch a flea.

On top of that, the fleas also make a noise. So you don't have to worry about not seeing them, you should definitely hear them too! It'll be hard to miss.

She should ask to move in on her 3rd visit, but if no plot is available, she will just say that Resident Services told her there is no space for her to move in. If you want to be safe, wait for her to have that dialogue to be sure she could theoretically move in, place the plot, then ask her again.

When a villager is in boxes (meaning, the moment they are cleaning their house and have nothing else but boxes in their house), you can invite another player, and this one will be able to suggest to this villager to move on their own island. But of course, it only works for the first player asking them to do so, you can't make several players adopt the same villager.

Also I've caught my villagers wearing gifted athletic clothes but I don't believe I've ever caught villagers using gifted rainwear (aside from umbrellas) or gifted party wear, but I think I just infrequently see those situations.

Also gifting them their default clothing never counts for the inventory. Seemingly. Nookipedia has a list of every villager's default clothing if you want to avoid doubling on any of that.

Or.... Move your Switch clock forward 15+ days. Look for a thought bubble on a villager. If a villager you don’t want to move out has a bubble near their house or Resident Services, DONT TALK TO THEM. Just save and skip to the next day and someone else should have a bubble

Cockroaches aren't critters you can catch in ACNH, they just appear in your house when you don't play for a long time.
Flies require to either put a rotten turnip or a piece of trash outside. After a bit, you will get ones randomly flying over it.

(Note aside, but no critter can ever be caught inside a building: everything happen outside)

It forces the villager you complain about to remove the clothes they are currently wearing the moment you do it, and completely erase them from their inventory.

I assume visiting other islands to grab or copy items?

It depends what you mean decor item exactly. There are a bunch of different "items" you can use to decorate your island in the game: vegetation (like flowers, trees, bushes, weeds...), furniture, fences, or even dropped items, also patterns to make custom ground design, etc. The question is very broad.

Furniture can be acquired in many ways, bought at Nook's Cranny, dropped from trees (two per days), gifted by villagers, looted by a gift balloon, crafted with DIY and materials, rewarded in events or by NPC, and so on... This is almost the main point of the game itself.

Vegetation can be bought at Nook Cranny's too (trees and base flowers colors), digged up from mystery islands or boat tours, or bought at Leif's stand (bushes, produces...), you can also plant fruits and coconuts to make fruit trees and coconut palms.

For both, you can also trade them online with other players.

Yea. It's good to have a bunch of non-fruit trees on your island. If you have enough, you will end up with something like two trees that drop items, four that drop bees, and few that drop single coins. This refreshes every day.
Other ways to get new items in your catalog:

• Picking one up, even for a second, while visiting someone's island (they have to let you do this by "dropping" the item as a little leaf object, not by placing it. You can't pick up "placed" objects on other people's islands.)
• Buying them at your Nook's Cranny, or at someone else's island
• Shooting down balloons
• Receiving them as gifts from your island's villagers. This happens a lot if you give them presents and are good friends with them.

One villiager would be crafting/cooking something in their house :) you should go in and speak to them. They will ne flipping a pan by the stove or crafting at a table. When u speak to them they will tell u what they are making and give you the diy for it.

This changes every couple hours or so to a different villiager up to 3 times daily. Just go into their houses to check :) (itll always be someone that is in their house!)

You can indeed beg the villager to stay with another character, though I personally don't know if it would work even if you never talked to them with this same character before.
Of course, asking another online player to do it for you won't work : it requires to be a resident of your island.

What you can do is to try to create another profile (not a Nintendo account, just a simple second profile on your console), start the game with it to create another character, and try it.
Even if you create one, you will be able to evict your second character afterward within the game's main screen settings. And then delete the second profile from your console when it is done.
A bit annoying so, but still doable.

Otherwise, you can still find your villager back hunting them from mystery islands later, or trading them online (inviting them from another one's island).

Hi, best I can tell you is to not be afraid! The process is straight-forward and nicely guided by both consoles.
Once you transfered your data from your S1 to your S2, ACNH with your island should be ready as well.
If ever something goes wrong, you won't lose your data from your previous S1 anyway, so you could reset the S2 and start the process again.

Back up your island just in case and then the system transfer puts your island on the switch 2 (puts everything over without needing the island transfer tool).

Yes, they're mainly used as materials for the mermaid and shells furniture set

To be more specific, you would need around 20 of each to craft all required stuff to achieve Zipper's quests.
And around 20 more to craft all the outfits, that don't count toward the DIY items you need to craft to unlock Zipper's items on the Bunny Day.
There are a total of 15 DIY recipes you can find in bottles/rainbow balloons, or can sometimes randomly be given by villagers.
(Also 18 outfit DIY you will learn automatically by collecting eggs).
It is possible to get them all in three days (even a single one in theory) thanks to mystery islands, but the main problem will be the balloons: They only spawn on your main island, and are rather easy to miss if you play as intended.
Maybe temporary setting up a fence of tall furniture at the edge of one of your beach to farm the balloons easily would help a lot in this case.

If I'm understanding your question correctly: It means if the item given back to you is F/C then that's the % chance for a photo

If you gift the wallpaper which is over 750 bells you can still get W/F (15%), F/C (85%) but if you get a F/C back then that's the % that you might get a photo out of it

There are multiple diy packs that you can unlock during the game, I believe it's three or four diy and one culinary pack in nooks cranny but you can also get diys via the bottles that spawn on the beach or by getting them from other players or many other methods
Amiibos are real life figures or cards that you have to buy and you are able to scan ones of villagers into animal crossing to get them to come to your campsite or you can scan them in HHP to make a house for them or other places
You can get amiibos online or at a store depending on which one you want and the price and stuff

Gifted means you the player already have gifted the villager with a furniture, critter, or clothes that they then either use as decoration / wear sometimes.
Ungifted is the opposite: as the villager has never been gifted such type of items, their original outfit and house decoration remain unaltered.
Ungifted villagers are more popular because of that.

Well, depending on offerers expectations, it can be a concern. If you're trading a villager that is having random items in their house (like a sea bass and many miss-matching colored items) or clothes that don't match their specific island theme, then it could be a bit sad. Most of players prefer to have original decoration and outfits.

(That is also why some people tend to hunt them over trading them, so they will be sure they will get a fully ungifted villager)

It will ask you to assign a Nintendo profile to a resident every time, yes. The resident themselves will be unchanged, but you can change the account associated with them except the island representative which requires the same account in order to transfer.

Technically, no. They won't be available in balloons anymore. But there is still a (rather long) way to get them: by visiting islands from Kapp'n boat tours, you can sometimes end up in a Cherry Blossom island, no matter the current season. On this type of islands you will always find a washed-up bottle containing a Cherry Blossom DIY recipe.

Should I just keep praying and trying to shoot down balloons and picking up bottles or is there an easier way to get them ?
The strategy I explained in my first message to farm balloons could help a lot.

Yes, the day after a villager is in boxes the plot will be empty. Keep in mind that the plot will only be empty for that one day, after that it has the chance to autofill (it’s a 100% chance to autofill if you’ve ever visited other players before, otherwise it’s just a 20% chance)

yeah sorry, so awhile back I moved over the save data of my games to my parters switch from my old one. this is the first time I've opened ACNH since that happened. I am unsure if my island was saved to the cloud or to the sd card (back when I played it in 2020). but since my BOTW saves are all there, theoretically my island save data should be there too right? but I am unsure of how to check or even access it since I can only visit my partners island. I do not have physcical access to my old switch. so I want to know how I can get my island back basically

Your island would have been saved to the switch itself. ACNH islands require the Island Transfer Tool to transfer, so if you didn't use that, your island wouldn't have been transferred since it's only one island per console. IF you had the special cloud island backup enabled for ACNH you MIGHT be able to recover your island, but without the old Switch I'm afraid it's probably lone gone
