I was wondering if anyone has any free design slots so they could download, or perhaps already have some Citycore designs and could bring them to my Dream Island

Where did you hear that? I'm not sure another player can transfer their designs to another's one slumber island, I've read the same list is shared for all players. If anyone could confirm it is possible...

I just discovered that you can only use your own designs you already have on Dream Islands
Anyway, you're not forced to use the same ones as your main island. The design lists of slumber islands are completely independent. If you saved the MA whom you took your design from, you can temporary remove 5-10 designs of your main designs list, download the ones you want to use on your slumber islands, transfer them on it, repeat the process it as many times you need, and then download back the previous designs.

It's not all the time, but it does happen. Not to discourage people from interacting. Some great and funny dialogue comes from those interactions.

Regarding the usual trades it sounds a bit high indeed, but the economy on Nookazon is a bit broken. You can come across people offering several millions bells for a few stacks of stones, because they reached a step where they are rich enough to afford it. Keep looking for other offers and maybe you will eventually find a good deal

You can add another player by starting the game with a different Switch profile. Since this new player is just a resident, they won't be able to do everything you can. They can use all tools, upgrade their houses, place furniture, plant things. But they can't terraform, move houses, build bridges/inclines (they can donate to it), change ordinances, and things like that

you definitely need to wait until the 8th villager is moved in, that is a requirmeent for 3 stars
then wait for isabelle's feedback, she gives updated feedback, if she doesn't mention the greenery, it means you are missing develpment points, so items bought from the stores, crafts, villagers, if you have the able sister shop or not, bridges and inclines etc.
If she mentions greenery, be sure everything is fully grown / blooming, you won't get points for frees unless if they are fully mature, and you get double the points for blooming flowers. if you are missing more points, what counts are shrubs (fully grown), trees (fully grown), flowers (preferably blooming), crafts (including fences, but others too).

From what I've read, items from your own catalog are accessible to decorate the hotel rooms, even if you don't own HHP.
So you would need to craft your wall at least once in order for it to be listed within the catalog, then you would be able to use it for the hotel.
But it is hard to confirm as almost everyone talking about the subject also have the DLC.

I have animal crossing on a virtual game card, with two different switch consoles and as a result two different islands with different save files. The virtual game card means I cannot play animal crossing on both consoles at the same time

Kinda. They get a bonus for favorite wrapped gifts, so it's a pretty quick way to max friendship. After max friendship the odds of a photo is the same as any other method though. They do have a slightly increased chance of sending the photo in the mail rather than handing it to you though, and since they only mail presents as thanks it's probably the best method, imo.

Hi again, everyone! I asked previously for a beginner’s guide/timeline and received one, which has been really helpful! I’ve returned now because I have an odd request, and I’m hoping to be pointed in the right direction!

I am autistic and disabled and I get overwhelmed very easily (which I am working on in therapy and with medication). I am wondering if there are people that I can talk to as I start my island and go through the first seven days of the guide and beyond, because I’m not used to sandbox games at all!

I am not interested in any sort of hand-outs at all, I promise — I am hoping to find a few people to kind of guide me/take me under their wing through the beginning of the game. (Genuinely from the very beginning — I unfortunately have restarted my island ten times since yesterday morning because I’m worried that I’ll pick the wrong map!)

just letting you know, there is no wrong map, animal crossing cannot be messed up, unless you use hacks. It is meant to be a soothing game, nothing to worry over, the guide sent is, a guide, and maybe a bit of help for people wanting to maximize what they can do at the start. you can do these 7 days in 2 weeks or more if you need.

nours has great advice, though i'll also add that, once you've progressed enough into the game, you're able to customize your island however you want, so the initial map, to my memory, only matters in terms of the locations of resident services, the pier, and the airport. i believe very literally everything else can be changed later!!

You can't stop the spawn rate of seashells. They're gonna respawn once picked up, like how they realistically get washed up on shore from time to time.

I did find out how to stop the spawn rate of tree branches so they don't spawn every day when picked.

Hello!

I am currently having a major issue that I am really desperately hoping someone could help me with.

I used to have a Lite, and I got a new Switch (which is the Switch 1). When I try and restore my island data, I am told that there is no data to be restored and I am now panicking because I’ve had this game for years now.

I do not have the Lite anymore, it was sold to someone else and I’m sure they’ve factory resetted it at this point.

I’ve tried everything I could, but the only solution I can think of is to start the game, enable island backup (if for some reason it wasn’t enabled before) and hopes it just… Pulls data from my account and I just had to enable it. And then close the game and retry the island restoration process again.

Please, if anyone knows if this could work or have a better solution for my problem, I would be forever grateful. That island meant a lot to me, and it was a misunderstanding on my part of how to transfer my data, I didn’t know you should’ve done this with your old console present. However, I cannot be the first one to run into this issue, I would greatly appreciate the help :(

Did you use the Island Transfer tool to transfer the island from Lite to 1?
Did you have island back up enabled when you had the Switch Lite?

1. I did not, I don’t think so? I just transferred my accounts over, I didn’t do anything specifically for AC
2. I should, I don’t think I ever… Turned it off, unless I had to manually turn it on. But it always autosaved, is that not recoverable ?

I may have terrible news for you... Your island is saved to your console. You had to manually enable the island back up for it to work (Nintendo can be really difficult with returning a back up to you as well). And to transfer your island from Switch Lite to 1, you needed to have used the Island Transfer tool... It doesn't transfer with the system transfer

There is no such issue, I don't know where they have heard that. You can technically go as far as the internal game clock of the console allow you to go. The only issue you would face when you go back the current date will be a lot of weeds and cockroaches.

Sounds like something went wrong. You'll know a villager has successfully moved to another person's island when if you try entering the villager's home it says "I've moved out" and their plot has the "Sold to" sign. That's when you'd be free to time travel and it won't affect the villager at all anymore.

I believe after upgrading your house from a tent, and unlocking nooks cranny you go to the resident services tent and talk to Tom. The day it's available he will get a phone call during the morning announcement that has him walk away. When you talk to him after that, he will mention promising 3 villagers fully furnished houses and give you a bridge crafting plan, once the bridge is placed, talk to him again to get the plots.

Turns out all the greyed out ones are genuine so perhaps if they're assessed and genuine, but if the museum already has them, they become greyed out. It could be that fake ones don't do that just so you can still tell the difference.

If you have more than 2 switches, but don't want to buy multiple copies, the physical card may be the better way to go, since you can move it between all the switches with no problem. Well, the games are saved to the account, so you'd have to recover the account in order to get the games back. Being hacked is super unlikely unless you share your account info with others. Physical cartridges are a bit riskier, since they can be misplaced

I don't think games can be deleted from your account without a very tedious process, if at all.

Ohhh. I see. Well, you can share your switch with your siblings without sharing your account info. Make sure your estore is password protected, and use a 2 factor authentication for all sign ins. So long as they are not in boxes, you can make a secondary account (or use another character account you already have on island) to talk to them and tell them not to leave. I haven't done it myself so I'm not sure if you have to wait for them to have a thought bubble or if interacting with them alone can prompt it. A friend has been able to create a new secondary account and talked their villager into not leaving after telling them to leave on their main account.

At the very top of the channels list (left pane) you've a button that is called "Channels & roles", click on it, scroll to the "Why did you join this server?" section, and be sure that you have selected the "Trade with other players" block to keep those channels visible.
If they still disappear in despite of it being selected, you can click the server's name at the very top, and check "Show all channels".
