You need to fully upgrade your house by paying off your basement loan in full (final house upgrade) and then purchasing the first storage expansion out of the four extra expansions to unlock the storage sheds!

The type of rod does not affect the type of fish being caught. The type of rod only indicates its durability. But it is recommended that you use fish bait (if you dont want to wait for another to spawn naturally) and make sure you're in the correct time/body of water to find the fish you're searching for.

Anyone know why these two trees would be having issues growing? The variables for all the planted fruits are the same and the others had no issues growing. I planted them all at the same time and the same distances apart. I tried removing them and replanting, traveling forward in time and they remained saplings still.

If you plant a bell bag of more than 10k, you have a high chance only getting 3 10k bags anyways, and the chance of getting 3 of what you buried is low

hi ! I read somewhere that you can try to put 11k everyday and put a little custom design with the day (to help remember). There's gonna be one or two day where you'll get 33k. Those days seems to be the same every week.
For example you put 11k friday and with this tree you get 33k three days later then everyfriday you'll get 3x what you put on the bag.

11k is the minimum bc if you put 10k you are sure that you'll get 30k

Maybe to confirm this theory you should try 2 weeks and see what happen

This is not accurate unfortunately. As MrCoco mentioned above, planting anything more than 10k will likely result in 30k most times because there is only a small chance of getting more

It’s RNG so it’s completely randomized, meaning it can take anywhere from a few minutes (as the move-out method states) to a few hours or more. Just keep trying and you’ll get a bubble eventually

Depends on the way you usually play, these are the reasons you could pick a certain ordinance:

Beautiful Island: Your island is mostly focused on flowers, you want less weeds, and want no cockroaches nor fishing up trash. A lot of people advise not getting this one because flowers can reproduce way too much.

Early Bird: This one is adviced if you usually play early in the morning.

Night Owl: There's more stuff to do if you usually play at night.

Bell Boom: You want to focus on stacking up bells and don't really feel like buying goods anymore, this is adviced if you have almost every item you need in your storages or want to focus on trading with other people.

Also, you can do just fine without any ordinance! I've been playing since the game was first released and I don't have any ordinance on my island, but you can still think about the reasons I gave you if you notice your gaming patterns change 🤗

Most of these items come from Nook's Cranny, so it's a thing of checking up everyday until you find anything you need.

I can spot a few DIY items, fortunately almost all, if not all of the DIY items there aren't seasonal, so you can get the recipes anytime with common materials.

Check up on villagers that are inside their houses, sometimes you can find them crafting and they'll give you a recipe if you talk to them (some recipes come from specific personalities, so it is adviced to have at least one villager of each personality).

Look on the beaches daily, you'll find a bottle with a message containing a recipe.

They can also be a possible gift from balloons in the sky.

there is no such tool, and as far as I'm aware, this is not how the nook cranny works

buildinbg such a tool is not possible the weather mechanics and the nook cranny inventory is completely unrelated, and don't rely on the same mechanics(like a seed). By the same logic we can't predict the exact day which npc are coming visit

you should have all diys you need, there is a pool of items, it can be different item but tom nook will give you the ones you need to complete the quest. Did you try checking again what you need and sort your diy list in alphabetical order maybe ?

Those river mouths are not possible and I’ve never seen a peninsula shaped like that in the game. Here are all the possible island formations. West river layouts only have their boardwalk on right side not the left

Leif will only offer his weeding service if you have more than 300 weeds on the ground (and they spawned naturally). That’s only possible at the very start of the game. After you’ve collected them, they’ll max out at 150 weeds so Leif will never offer the service again

I already gave it to one animal and she told me who it was for but the problem was that I clicked through too fast and I didn't actually remember who it was for. It's still just says investigate and just tells me it's for somebody and that's all it says. It doesn't say it's for anyone in particular. from what im seeing your move in que might not be full, so the game wont auto fill villagers. But because its a new island i dont think youve played enough to have that problem.

move in que is a hidden in game mechanic that has a list of 4-5 villagers that are qued to move into your island, therefore youll never see them when hunting with NMT, no one knows how to see what the que is currently for your island.

You won’t have anyone in your MIQ if you’ve never visited other players before. It’s a 20% chance for a villager to fill the plot everyday if your MIQ is empty, iirc

We don’t allow members to ask for free things, but you can always trade for them in #materials-and-tools if you offer something in return! If you don’t want to trade for them, there are some tips you can try to get them yourself

• dig 2 holes behind you to prevent sliding backward which will help you get the max of 8 materials per rock
• visit mystery islands to hit more rocks

You can use the /fish command in #bot-commands and then type the name of the critter to get a link with more info about that critter such as spawn rate!

If you have party poppers in your pocket and you use them right away, it will scare them off. The main way to prevent get stung by them is to hold your net and stand facing the front of the tree when you shake it. If wasps fall out, you’ll automatically be turned towards them so all you have to do is swing your net!

Okay so then you need to work getting the holes dug properly. Basically, you need to dig the two holes side by side so that they sandwich you in and keep you from sliding backwards. If you do that, then when you hit the rock, you will always get 8 materials. Also, you should have 6 rocks on your island and only one per day will have bells in it

So you should be getting 6 x 8 materials, or 48 per day from your island

(40 materials, 8 bell bags/coins)

For digging the two holes behind you so that you don't get pushed out of the way - just make sure the holes leave enough space for everything to spawn. For example, the Xs are empty space and the O is your rock:

She thought she was cancelling her subscription to online services. Her villager and island are still mentioned in game when I make a new character on my profile. Is there any way to recover her stuff?

This may need to be a question posed to Nintendo Support. Data Recovery may be difficult because if she was the "owner" of that save file (meaning she was the Resident Representative), I don't believe anybody but her can change who that is.

And any cloud save file... would be tied to her account, which you say is no longer in existence. So you may be in a bit of a pickle, but Nintendo Support would be your best way for a clear answer

Fortunately it's not all lost. If you have the Dream Address, I believe that will always live on.

So if you create a new Island, once you unlock the Dreaming, you can always revisit the dream of your old island (if one existed)

If you want to villager hunt on mystery islands or adopt a villager from another player, then yes you would want to hold off on time traveling since the plot will autofill if you travel forwards OR backwards in time. The only day to villager hunt is the day the plot is empty, so just make sure you stay on whatever date the plot is empty. You are free to travel back to current time once a villager agrees to move to your island ^^

• Make sure you have at least 8 villagers. Max is 10. More villagers more points
• Put out lots of different furniture.
• Put out a lot of flowers. Put out way more than you think you need.
• Try to build the shops (upgraded nook’s gives extra points) bridges and inclines where you can, it'll help a lot with development points.
•** LISTEN TO ISABELLE! **If she talks about development or scenery, you need more development points (furniture, diy items, infrastructure, etc.) If she talks about the island's natural environment, you need more nature points (flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.). If she mentions clutter, you have to pick up all the dropped items on the ground.

If the autosave hasn’t happened yet in the same in-game day that the plaza happened you could try to TT back without saving and salvage it. If going back keeps the plaza tho you’re stuck with it. FWIW tho Nintendo doesn’t ban TTing

That’s what I thought but that wouldn’t explain why they’re two different shades on the dirt on the left. The dirt under it is the same for both

If the middle paths don't have invisible pixels, the cc won't fit to the path and therefore won't darken the original design

Since the corner pieces have invisible pixels, they'll fit to the path under them and darken, but usually people forget to leave one invisible pixel in the deign for the middle of their path, since it's not really needed if you don't plan on laying patching under your custom designs

There’s no telling since it’s randomized, you just have to keep trying. It’s one of the more rare (if not the most rare) pond fish, so there’s no telling how much more fish bait you’re going to have to use before one pops up ^^

Oddly specific question:
After almost 600 hours, I still haven't finished the fish portion of my museum. I know some of the fish I need spawn in very specific spots, and have certain total catch requirements (I have hit said catch requirements)
Am I able to go to another player's island to catch the fish I need, or would they also have to have met the catch requirements for the fish to spawn?
I flattened my island and don't have things like rivers or mountain lakes to catch certain things. My friend does, but he started the game recently and hasn't met the catch requirements for certain fish to spawn

Yes. You have to redeem the cliff construction permit for 6000 miles at your nook stop redeem miles section. All the other path permits are there too

There's not really a fast way. You can dig them up and have a trash can nearby to quickly empty your pockets. Also, if it is just a small area where they have spread and you have extra bells to spare, you could move a building over that spot to get rid of them. That obviously is costly though, esp if you plan to move the building back to the original position afterward -- and it takes a full day with each move

To prevent further spread, you can surround flowers with fencing or place transparent custom designs on the ground
