Good morning everyone. I had to factory reset my Switch and I backed up everything on my SD card. Well, after I factory reset everything and then put in the SD card, it forced me to wipe the SD card...sooo long story short, I had to start from scratch 😢😢😢 Anyways, it's been a long time since I started from the beginning, I can't figure out how to get the axe or shovel. I got the beginning DIY thing, it wasn't in there. I looked in the Nook shop but I don't see anything that I would think would give it to me. If anyone remembers please let me know. Your turnips will rot and your turnip price pattern will re-randomise from any backwards TT, and if you go outside the current day it won't count as a new day (as in resources and shops won't refresh etc). Your daily nook miles streak will also be gone, and snowboys will melt instantly

No, you can’t even delete letters with gifts in them, so the game won’t delete them but rather will delete the mail with nothing attached. Hope this helps

How long does it take an empty plot to be claimed? One day? Two?

It depends; if there is someone in your MIQ has a villager the plot is guaranteed to be filled the next day from when it became empty (more info on that in the pic). But if it's empty, there's a 20% chance for the plot to fill every time a new day begins

Essentially, if you visit other players regularly, it's best to assume that there will always be villagers in your MIQ

I already Isabelle announce that they’ll leave tomorrow, and then tomorrow came and they left, but I only got a few hours until the next day so I’m not sure if the next announcement the plot will be filled or not…

If you've never played with someone else from another island, your MIQ is empty for certain. In that case there will be a 20% chance of it filling every day, until it fills ^^

If you're fine with time travelling, you could also stay in the same day by going backwards by e.g. 12 hours, which would guarantee that the plot stays open, but ofc you can take your chances with the 20% too :)

If you time travel back outside of the current day, then moving villagers will advance by one day! But if you stay inside the current day (remember that in ACNH it changes at 5am), the plot will stay as-is

How to MAKE BELLS, the SIMPLE Way:

1. Play the stalk market: buy turnips at a low price and sell them high.
2. Dive and catch sea creatures to sell back to Nook's Cranny.
3. Grow stuff (fruits, flowers, pumpkins, etc) and sell to Nook's Cranny.
4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

Hacked items are items that can only be obtained from a modded switch or items that you can’t obtain physically unless it’s injected in (referring to diys that don’t have physical cards). Items that either don’t exist in the game like (lotus flowers in the rivers) or creating infinite length bridges, items that can’t be obtained as a physical diy card (ex bunny day egg clothing diys) full list here for diys/certain items: #bot-commands message, or items that are time locked for special events (I don’t think any are time locked as of now)

Items from a treasure glitched islands are fine but trading a hacked item like any listed above isn’t allowed here

They can’t be advertised here as that is hacked turnip prices. Your turnip prices can’t go into the negatives or over 660. It’s not possible in the game unless the user hacked their switch

Yes, nothing will happen to your game if you choose to get max bells from that.

In sense, treasure island items are fine. They won’t hurt your game unless you pickup something that the game doesn’t like. If you have any future questions regarding this topic, feel free to ask @lapis terrace as this isn’t related to game mechanics.

If multiple of the same villagers aint allowed on one island, how do they prevent you?

Villagers that you already have on your island are removed from the pool of random villagers you can encounter on Nook Miles mystery islands, at your campsite, or in move-ins when you have an empty plot.
And if you try to invite them from someone else's island when they moving out, they'll just never mention the possibility of going to your island, just like when you have no available plot.

If you are talking about villagers 3-5 after the initial 2, they move in after you have completed the furniture for their plots (keep asking Tom Nook what to do)

how do i know if my villagers are lightly gifted/not gifted/ heavily gifted?

Keeping note of it as you play is probably the best way, but you can also keep an eye on your villagers and look if they are wearing something they originally don't own (note that many villagers have some alternate default outfits, such as workout or winter clothes as well as a plain white tank top). If your villager has a wardrobe item inside their home, you can also interact with it, and if the villager has any gifted clothes, they will show up in there. If none, then it's empty
Also, there isn't a clear line between lightly and heavily gifted, it's up to your consideration what you feel is a more accurate description ^^

Hey y'all! Quick question. A friend of mine has been playing my digital copy of Animal Crossing on her own switch (By playing on my user account, which isn't her switch's primary account). She wants to buy the game for herself soon, but is worried about how the savefile will be handled. I'm aware how different ACNH's saves are from other switch games and my guess of what will happen is she'd be on the same Island but would have to create a non-representative resident. Is that how it would go? Are there any ways around this so she can get her own character on her own profile?

Our best idea is using the Island Transfer Tool to copy her island + residents to a friend's switch, and then transfer from his switch back to hers, but we're unsure how the island transfer tool works, specially if not dealing with a switch's primary user.

The villager really has to want to leave, normally around 1:15 p.m., most of them are usually out, so there is a greater chance that someone will want to leave, it is like that until the villager you want to leave comes knocking

There's no specific timezone with the Middlemen since we have many Middleman in the server who have different timezones! With the wetsuits it's just for extra safety since when a person wears a wetsuit they can jump off the pier and access areas on the island so there's thar rule to prevent that!

That's essentially all you should do; it's an unfortunately luck based process just due to the nature of how the moveout bubble mechanic is coded. There isn't really any way around it

mystery islands have a random villager, picked first by species, then by individual - which makes individuals of species with only a few members (like Octopi, with only 4 members) much easier to find than individuals from a species with more members (like cats with 23 members).

The only way to exclude villagers form this is to have them on your island (thus exclude up to 10) or have had them in your last 20 or so villagers that moved out. Villagers can repeat, as I personally got Bubbles 3x within 20 tickets in the same hunting session

Hamsters only have 9 members, so Marlo should be relatively easier to find comparted to a specific cat or squirrel

amiibo cards also exist, which can guarantee you can move in the villager on the card after 3 days of inviting them to your campsite (and fulfilling their DIY requests)

Marlo is from series 5 (number 437) of the amiibo cards

pretty sure theres separate slots for clothing that they swap between based on weather/etc. IE: a raincoat will replace the rain coat slot, shirt will replace the shirt slot, a new umbrella will replace their normal umbrella. accessories seem to be worn on and off (and if given in co-op mode, they can soemtimes duplicate - specifically a crown that I gave an NPC that they placed two of in their house when I only gave them one).

villagers will also occasionally change clothing on their own/get gifts form other villagers

soem of the mechanics can get a bit f***ey, too. Audie on my island was given a dress as a gift from another villager that didn't work well with her color scheme, so I said it didn't suit her and she switched back to her default clothes, but now she's wearing the crappy dress around anyway

you can semi-permanently block them by moving them in, then moving them out (you won't see them for 19-29 more move ins after they move in), but that's way more trouble than its worth and only works for 20-30 villagers at a time - and theres more than 400 iirc, so not practical

Golden watering can:

• reach 5 star rating; this can be done the fastest by maxing out buildings and villagers, planting lots of flowers and placing around furniture that you own until Isabelle is satisfied, that's essentially how you can fill the rating
  Golden axe:
• get 100 flimsy axes, and spam them at a single tree until you have broken all of them
  Golden fishing rod & net:
• time travel to different seasons etc. to catch all the fish and bugs, for the rare palm tree beetles you can clear out a mystery island except for palm trees, this makes them more likely to spawn
  Golden slingshot:
• pop all balloons you see
  Golden shovel:
• once you find Gulliver (not Gullivarrr) once, travel back and forth to that same day until you have helped him total of 30 times (just make sure to stay within the same week to not reset visiting NPC schedule)

• What is my native fruit? - This is the fruit that will be on your trees when you first start the game. Your native fruit can also be bought from Nooks Cranny.

• What is my "sister fruit"? - This is the fruit that you find on a mystery island called "rare fruit island". This fruit can be sold for more than the native fruit at Nooks Cranny.

• What fruit does my Mom give? - Your mom will mail you a fruit. This can either be a new fruit that you have not obtained yet or a random one.

They become adoptable when they're kicked out by a campsite visitor or they've asked to leave and been given permission. They'll then transition into being "in boxes," and that's when another player can adopt them!

Note they can't be adopted when they're "in boxes" but moving in from someone else's island.

Unless it's for villagers number 3-5, it's not guaranteed! Depending on whether there are villagers in your "move-in queue", it'll autofill tomorrow 100% of the time. Otherwise, it's a 20% chance every day after the first day, until the plot fills.
Without going too deep into how the mechanic works, good rule of thumb is that if you play online often, you should expect there to always be someone in yout move-in queue!

You can dig a hole in there, you'll find some bells in there ^^ before closing it, if you bury some bells back in, you might later find some profits there ||a money tree will grow!||

At exactly 1k and 10k bells you guarantee you'll triple what you buried when the tree fully grows and bears 'fruit' in the form of bell bags - but anything between/over those will only have a 30% chance to triple exactly what you buried and 70% chance to default to the next threshold lower (so if you bury 11,000-99,000 bells, you have a 70% chance to just get 3 bags of 10,000 and a 30% chance to get 3 bags with the amount you buried)

If you miss the day the tree fully grows, you lose all the money unfortunately, but you can also have multiple money trees per day if you have multiple players living on your island (as each player gets their own money hole spawn)

you can also dig up and replant the money tree sapling to move the tree to a better spot before it finishes growing

What's the difference between a "moving out" thought bubble and one that isn't?

No visual difference, but a moveout bubble is more persistent than others; it won't e.g. disappear when you enter a building like others do. It's also there from at least nearly the very beginning of your play session, while others appear occasionally at various points

Iron is amongst the possible items dropped when you strike a rock with one of your tools (note: don't eat food prior, or you'll break the rock instead), each rock can drop up to 8 items per day
To avoid the recoil from pushing you away from the rock and losing time (and items, since the rock stops dropping for the day after a little bit of time, just enough for 8 hits), use obstacles such as holes, fences, furniture, etc. to form a L-shaped obstruction with one tile (where you'll stand) between it and the rock
Also: use the shovel to hit the rock, as it's slightly faster than the axe
If after draining all the rocks on your island of their resources, you can always go on mystery islands, the rocks there have a slightly higher drop rate for iron

How to upgrade Resident Services into a building
• You need at least 5 villagers to be fully moved onto your island.
• Unlock the museum (can either be the tent or the upgraded building).

To unlock the museum, give 5 different critters (bugs, fish, or sea creature) to Tom Nook.
• If both of these are met, Tom Nook will announce that Resident Services will be closed the following day for construction. The day after that you’ll have the building! (You can time travel to make this process quicker.)

You can get repeat villagers yes. If your villager moves to someone else's island that you know, you can visit them and they'll remember you. If it's the same villager but on a nmt island or someone else's island you don't know, they don't recognize you but you can still invite them back if you have space

You can delete your save game data to start your island over. The 4 island layouts are randomized so you can close the game and start it up again until you find one you like. It depends on how much you want to keep your current island layout and progress

For that purpose dream islands are a good option ^^ they are a "replica" of an island, that you are free to explore at any time. There is an option to visit a random dream island! The difference to normal visits is that the island owner won't actually be there, and what you do on the island has no effect on the real island. :) Just sleep in a bed inside your home (once Resident Services has upgraded into a building), and you are good to go. The "Surprise me!" option gives you a random dream

You can also look for open islands and dodo codes for them in #island-hangouts🛩️🏝️

4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

• What is my "sister fruit"? - This is the fruit that you find on a mystery island called "rare fruit island". This fruit can be sold for more than the native fruit at Nooks Cranny.

• What fruit does my Mom give? - Your mom will mail you a fruit. This can either be a new fruit that you have not obtained yet or a random one.

• How do I get the rest of the fruits? - You will only be able to obtain 2-3 fruits by yourself. To get the rest of the fruits you need to trade with other people. This can be done with your friends or with people in #fruit-vegetable-trade!

Gifted refers to any furniture or clothing items you’ve given to the villager. Lightly vs heavily gifted is pretty subjective, but it’s just meant to indicate whether you’ve gifted only a few things (lightly gifted) or gifted a lot of items (heavily gifted)

The game won't let you get iron from other people's rocks unless you are Best Friends with them in the game. If you have Nook Miles Tickets (NMTs) those island rocks have a higher chance of giving you iron. There is also a trick to hitting rocks 8 times

The bottle should spawn every day, whether you go back or forward in time. It's possible to miss it but if you don't pick it up it will stay in the same location until you pick it up.

• Buy and/or sell a sum total of 200k bells

• NOTE: You do not have to complete the 30 day requirement in real time- you can time travel a whole month ahead from the date you’re on now to meet the requirement.
