They can only display items inside even if the game objectively labels them as “outdoors”. Only exception is sometimes they’ll hang wreaths on their doors. You can always place items outdoors near their house on your own though!

Is there any reason that will exempt a villager from asking to move out other than birthdays, being last to move in, relocating, or being last to ask? i've been trying to get lolly out and have tt'd several months in game worth of attempts, and every villager except the last to move in (wart jr.) has asked

No problem! Yeah RNG can be really unpredictable at times, you just have to keep trying! Speaking from personal experience, I’ve had it take me 8-10 hours before the villager I wanted to kick finally asked, so it does require some patience since it’s random who will ask

you can't stop it from happening, if you don't time travel to keep your plot open.
how it works (if you have more that 6 villagers) it checks if you have villagers in your move in queue (these come from people's voids when you play online) if it's not empty (4 slots in your move in queue) it fills with one from there
if you don't have villagers in your move inqueue, it works exactly like the campsite, there's a 20% chance of it to fill everyday, and it favors personailities you don't have

Autofills can still happen with move-ins. A plot is only guaranteed to stay empty for the first day, and after that it can autofill. But the move-out mechanic is a bit different in that you’ll always have a chance to say goodbye — so they are in move-out boxes the next time you log on. (Note if you log in to see them in boxes, then the move out process continues and you would have the empty plot the following day whether you log in or not)

I got a second switch and added my nintendo user from my first switch onto there without doing a full profile transfer. I created a new island there bc i wanted to keep my old switch, so i can have two islands. Now I want to unlink my nintendo user from my new switch to do a complete profile transfer from my old to new switch and re-login on my old switch (for purposes of play activity data). That would not erase my 2nd island on my new switch, but it would erase my save data/villager on my new switch since both villagers on both islands are linked to the same nintendo user right?

It actually would not, the resident rep villager cannot be deleted in any way, the save data related to villagers, like the island, are solely saved onto your Switch, not linked to your account in any way. I believe it'd just then make your villager be not linked to any profile, and then after the process just ask you to link a profile to the existing villager when you open the game the next time

I see, thank you for the thorough explanation. It shows me a save data for acnh in data management. If I understood correctly when I do a profile transfer from my old to new switch, including its save datas, that would not override the new switchs island rep with my old switch island rep as that save data is exempt from it. So if I re-login my nintendo account on my old Switch after the transfer, I can boot up the game and it'll let me relink my unlinked island rep (including items, etc) to the user i just transferred? And same goes for my island rep on my new switch?

You must have some genotype that is able to produce yellow mums, not exactly sure how that's gotten in there since you cannot get a genotype like that if you started from solely seedbag whites.

In any case, I'd suggest replacing all your current flowers with ones grown from seedbags, you cannot guarantee the genes and therefore offspring if you started with anything else

Unfortunately not really; the options are kinda limited since the item has to be 1x1 from the miscallaneous category in order for you to place it on the blocks. Ofc you could try stuff like this , but it's probably not exactly what you're looking for. Some example items I picked out in the pic
The floating blocks' fronts are also tough to cover without blocking access to the cave, using trees (being probably the best option) for that might be worth experimenting on though
For the blocks on the cliffs, a shrub is probably a pretty solid way to cover up the front, so there's that at least

Yea making it sideways should make it easier to cover up a tree in front of it on the cliff can cover up a lot of roof area in that case!

Unfortunately you'd have to get rest via trading with other players; you can find only one non-native fruit on mystery islands (called your sister fruit). Your in-game mom has a chance of sending you a third fruit at a very early point in the game, but it can also be your sister fruit, which assumingly was the case for you

So only 2-3 fruit are possible to get without trading with others

icy isn't sure if this would effect anything, but icy closed the game from switch home screen (both times) before time traveling because in icy's experience if icy already has the game open when time traveling icy needs to close and reopen for time travel to occur

Because I really can't get it figured out.

I only kind of know what I'm doing, so I build a 🟩 diagonally to a corner I want to round, then face towards said corned and it rounds it.

You can round the circled corner by standing on that 2x2 square and then chipping off that top right corner!

You won’t be able to do the same on the top left though

Rounded edges need at least a 3 tile distance for it to work

if you collect all five spirit pieces, talk to wisp, and then refuse to give them back to him youll get stuck in a dialogue loop.
if you collect all of them and then not talk to him, you can keep them in your inventory, but they'll disappear from it the next day.
