Base game is 30, WONY is 30, BFB is 15. That's all 3 DLC. Plus you get the year 1 pass which was what, 10, 15 USD? So basically you're getting like $90 USD for 30 USD. That's a massive steal

Oh and getting ultimate will allow you 1050 in game premium credits so you can pick up premium apparel or get this season's season pass for free. Not required

Seasons last 3 months so even casual players can max it out by passively playing. Premium season pass (free tier is fine) gives you apparel and in game loot caches (which can obtain for free as well easily)

concentrated company doesn't seem to work, it doesn't add stacks during missions and in the open world, I tested it in heroic countdown where the whole team shoots at hunters before the final helicopter, I marked hunters and adds with a shotgun and after the kill I didn't get even a single bar in the stacks and the damage was the same all the time..

ever since the holster came out, been fooling with this a lot. the main hand is completely swappable, the build is built around 15% crit weapon mods. its chc investment is mods and holster.

some people said the chest is useless. after using this chest for prob... lets say 100 hours. its not useful in solo, but it is useful in group. when swapping rooms, since you wont always be the killer, its uptime, will often maintain your dmg, my experience

performance numbers. this was with strega. for a bit of context, strega in my expereince doesnt outperform others. at its biggest potential, it can do big D, as you see from 1.6m but generaly it performs at about 800k-1m bullet with 770rpm. if I had to compare that, prob an elmo with a bullet value of... maybe 800k? ballpark

Okay let me rephrase it without the video when being under attacked. Why don't the NPCs or the companion attack the people that are attacking them?

It's a safe zone, no NPC's can attack from inside that spot.
And your companion isn't even supposed to be in there.

But when a player gets attacked in a safe zone and gets down inside the the safe spot they should still get you up or shot at what ever is attacking them

It's a glitch that you are attacked inside that safe zone, it's not suppose to happen.

And again, the companion is not supposed to be in there, they specifically mentioned in the livestream that companions can't follow you into safezones.

It was messed up. I just spawned at the theater settlement and then all the sudden the drone start attacking me on the roof so I ran all the way down and try to make it to the outside gate so I could start using my weapon and that's why I was a little unclear why the NPCs not just a companion but the NPCs don't shoot at anything that's within 50 ft of the settlement

was omw to the brooklyn heights safe house when i came across this flooded underground parking. I shot the electrical box opening the door to a generator, and also drained the water using the valve. I wondered why I fundamentally forget that the explosive orb skill exists. I remembered. Someone was using the spam of it, using hardwire. Every single time I closed on an enemy, they were true son, their weak point exploded in my face.

It was bad enough that I was playing on steamdeck on my break, using my mobile hotspot, but oh my god I've never gone down so many times to random heroic mobs

In theory, yes it improves damage. But only if you use the pistol equipped deflector shield. It's not for the flame shield, and it doesn't do anything else on any of the other ones

Command link is the term for the gauge that builds as you do companion actions. Basically you got to get them killed when he's actually doing his thing. Maybe he has to revive you?

There's a few journey icons, that have to do with the companion doing something.

I know that I tried to test something, without using another player. He can't revive NPC companions. The one that I tested it on was the captain in a checkpoint. I had to sit there for 45 minutes, for every ally and then finally the captain to go down. I even left my companion down, and he got himself back up lol

Multikill is when you use one move to kill multiple enemies. Usually you can do this with a grenade or a hazard explosion. But you have to use one move or technique to kill all of them. There is a perk given by the quartermaster, that gives you bonus experience when this is achieved.

Im being dumb (no PC right now, no screenshot) using hf, x4, chest, Birdy backpack, all crit DMG attributes, 3 chc mods and 1 chc salvi holster, gunner, with shotgun, ar and pistol. Mario kart pistol.

I use it with Scorpio or strega depending on how my team fights, with decoy (birdies best buddy) and crusader shield. Scorpio does 400k+ per hit on crit, and strega get to 500k with 1m crit

It's so dum but fun. Running around rezzing and juggling max hf and strega trolling

Especially when you start farming the door spawns with headshots

I've never seen that particular one, and I can definitely look when I get home, keep in mind two things. There's a lot of ropes in New York that you have to look up and shoot before they come down. And that looks like a really tall building. Also, sometimes when you shoot a lock, you're breaking it so that you can leave the door, instead of enter. But I think you already know that, cuz you mentioned finding the other side

skill haste reduces skill cooldowns. itll be worth investing in with eclipse or oxi/explosives builds that are not hardwire. chem launcher benefits a lot from haste. turret drone build doesnt generally need a lot of haste tho.

yes, and once that daily project is done you'll have to get to retaliations the usual way: do missions and activities with named enemies. Typically one mission with most directives enabled will max out the retaliation "meter" for the given faction

I could probably do without the striker chest in the second video. But you can see there are a lot of enemies but I only end up shooting a few of them. That's the big advantage. Instead of having to reaquire all of those targets, find a safe shooting position, etc... I can just pick a few of them and the rest die.

It's also very strong in legendary roosevelt boss room. You just blast the marauders and your damage spreads across the whole area. By the time you kill the second marauder most of the enemies are dead and you were only shooting the marauders.

Three types of companion, the assault/medic/"technician". The Technician is the skill build based one I'd say.

But it is the start of a new season and they have announced some other new content so I'm sure there will be other stuff to while the jorney is still up as well.

If anything try to spend a half hour to an hour every couple days or a few times a week and you'll be more than okay (if you're stressed for time that is)

When making a new character you select "hardcore character", the difference is 1 life. No respawns ect. You can go down but if you die that is it no more character.

this clip made me think of something. I was a dummy and the visual was bad, so I thought the flytext was gone.

The reason I only care about ttk, not numbers is because in ff14, not only is flytext not available, for dmg numbers, but several expansions lowered the dmg. literally dropped max dmg value. you might think this was dumb, but only ttk matters, if dmg drops.. its a percentage, only your perception of #'s drops. ff14 is super stable game. most games should do this.

This why I build into ttk, percievable ttk. not .00X% differences, and I never bother doing exact math

If tomorrow ubi devs dropped the max dmg value, by 37%, and all completetion dmg requirment by 37% all the numbers would change... but your ttk wouldnt. just thoughts. I told ikia, "I wanted to test your perception" its not about being right. its about seeing beyond the number. you cant have perceivable thought provoking discussion, if one person is locked in a box. this is why I said "but Im always wrong after all" the discussion was pointless, and since they werent letting up, I ended it. punching a steel wall, ends with the person accepting the impassable.

they mentioned "health dmg" and armor dmg affect melee. But this isn't relevant info, because you can increase melee dmg, but there is no huge investment in this, in div2, so you wont see the difference. you wont swap weapon* to take advantage of it. It's about focusing on info that significantly changes success, not meandering over .01% changes. "perception". I said "only amp and melee+ affects melee" this is a relevant opinion because its the only stats, you can efficiently stack.

*context: only lady death matters in melee.

these perspective apply to all div content. its not 1 subject or point. its a way of understanding videogame structure. Being too educated can cost you a job offer. theres a reason for this.. and this explains why. "locked in a box"

Is proficiency gain affected by difficulty?

How exactly do the defector companions gain XP? Does difficulty affect the XP Gain? And is there a thing that makes them gain XP faster (like, you got lots of XP for Primary modifiers doing retaliations against factions).

For the first question: no, not directly, but veterans and elites give more proficiency xp than red bars and are more numerous on higher difficulties, so indirectly you might get faster proficiency levels for that reason.

I haven't really played this season so I'll let someone else answer the companion xp questions.

Difficulty does not seem to directly affect XP, from my testing, although indirectly it will because there are more enemies so more chance for companion orders etc.

They seem to gain XP when using orders, and completing anything which gives Commander points. It seems directly tied to that.

this is correct @royal briar the reason why, there are many sub experience types in div. usually, its not the difficulty that affect enemy grant. its number of enemies. higher difficulty increase enemy waves, which gives more more opportunity. diffculty only changes loot value, clear loot and clear experience grant

Nah they're not endless. And yea you can do that.

The waves are tied to the switches you have to pull though. So first you'll get a few waves and then it'll just be Sarah. Then the waves will stop until you flip switches.

Then you'll get more waves. After that it'll just be Sarah until you hit the switches again.

There are no more wave after that. But the total # waves will always come out. So for example if there are 7 total waves they'll always come out even if you kill Sarah first.

Priority Objective: Stronghold, Heroic (any reward is fine), and the Journey+Manhunt stuff, and make sure you have the Modifier turned on for an extra 10%.
Then it's just no-lifing it for a bit.

Just don't worry about farming it out this quickly, you've got loads of time.

I'm actually going to goof off with this build for a while. 3 million for headshot, as the headhunter. It's pretty sexy. And then it's average spray, is 1 million+ it's fun... From a change of pace. The basic idea, is push with Lexington and crusader, and then just when your shield is about to break, swap to tempest let it break, and then go ham with tempest. The Hunter fury regen goes well with it along with Gunner and the boosted fire rate. It's kind of fun having a new style / rotation

An 800K to 900K is acceptable for Lexington. I did not expect that talent to be effective. Rarely anyone talks about strained, and it was moderately a good replacement for killer. Because strained works on a boss while killer often runs out

For the record, I get what ikia is cooking. They're kind of using the tempest as a close range AR. Everything from, the 30 ammo, the 15% crit chance and the almost 200 damage bullet value. It's just not how I want to play, but I get what they were going for. I like the hf better, and if I'm gonna use tempest, I'll use it as a mode 2 when the first mode breaks

I'm not trying to rag on anyone else's gameplay, but for me builds that only do one thing such as just use tempest. I don't find them enjoyable, because I have to hot swap builds if I have to change mid-combat. This biuld has an 800 to 900 k spray with Lexington, it has a 23 to 27 million determined. The 27 mill only comes into play if you are benefiting from Hunter's fury. And it has a 1 million plus tempest play. I'm good with that. I like the way that runs. And I don't think the damage bonus that I will get from obliterate or class cannon which is somewhere upwards of 100 to 75K from 1 million is really going to change my time to kill in any content or difficulty

As long as my memory isn't being retrded, it will hit 27 million. Which is the four plus LEGO cap for elite enemies. However... You have to sacrifice the hunter's chest, and the skill curve from maintaining max hunter fury for 10 seconds from room to room in Lego where sometimes you're just forced into cover.. probably not practically realistic

Also, the 27 million, was seen while in matchmaking. So I don't know what buffs were flying around. I know that Max Hunter fury, and Max headhunter currently does 23 million. With no memento

The average headshot damage is 970k ish. I also have memento, which is not stacked at all. The only time it hit 700K, which I'm assuming you're referring to as the low number. Is when it wasn't benefiting at all from Hunter's fury

Also, it's not taking into account tempus ability either, and the expertise is low The tempest is capable of far higher than 1 million. On this build. I put it at 1 million plus, because I haven't tested it. And I don't want to oversell it. I know that headhunter into Hunter's fury into tempestability, hit 2.8m And that was without memento. However, realistically you won't be killing things with 3 million damage. In heroic+ that was Max potential, but also unrealistic. I'll pull a more realistic number when I have actual free time, rather than 5 to 10 minutes to run a small login

I forgot something. Going to clarify it for people who missed this detail. If you have an AR equipped, they naturally have +watch 75% HS. This stat SS, shows 85%, which means 1 10% hs is invested. Pistols naturally have I ?think? 100% ha. I might be off. The point is, 1 HS investment into hh and tempest don't result in 150% HS. Meaning tempest hs kills don't give 180%

If you're running galvanise with Scorpio you can get 40% for yourself, but Vanguard does not apply to the player anyway
