go to your map and check bounties in Southwest

though it's not a guaranteed drop with each kill I think

if you got any Houndsman bounty they will be listed there

But the houndsman cache from those bounties is guaranteed

As for the drone skin I'm fairly sure it's just rng based but I've seen reports of people who managed to get it to show up after restarting their game

I just killed 3 or 4 mini hounds in a row and get a bounty on the last one, so it's not guaranteed, it's rng I guess 🤷‍♂️

So last night just before a server reset, maybe 5mins before shutdown, i done one of the houndsman bounties and out of it i got the "bats" drone vfx but after logging back in after the reset i still had the bounty and no items/the vfx from doing it. And i am now unsure if i can still get it or not? I have done another 6 or 7 today with no special drops aside from gear. Any chance i got bugged or is it just my luck?

Exotic caches are probably your best chance, Think I got mine legendary zoo run though, But the caches at least give you an exotic which either fills in something that you're missing or gives you an exotic component once deconstructed

Exactly like loot goblin, you can look up a guide, they spawn in different open world locations, I think dz south is one spot

I know this is asked probably every other day - hi, I'm new to TD2 and love it, can't believe it took until a October sale to get me in it - anyway, I'll say I'm about a new;y leveled 40, farmed a Striker Set (nothing optimal) and using gold weapons right now. overworld is still on Normal difficulty, but I know I can run missions on hard at the moment (no more running through content and I have to pay atttention) but DPS doesn't seem to be a problem at the moment. So... the question - what is a good place to start for a lvl 40 noob, so I can begin the journey working my up the difficulties? Stick with Striker? Optimize it? Or, start to move on? I was looking at a Tipping Scales LMG build because i love the LMG - not sure how the get the exotic LMG just yet, but I'll get there. Is that the place to start? Farm for that stuff? When should I/can I run summit? etc... noobs ask what noobs ask. 🙂 thanks team!

Create different builds try out different combinations of gear pieces and weapons because having things equipped will make them proficient, As for farming tbh Countdown is your best friend right now 👍

would say to ask say what kinf of build you are interested in and ask for advice in #td2-build-advice

striker is bread and butter that works almost everywhere

countdown is the best mode to farm gear in bulk

but owuld say to focus on doing seasonal content

the exotics this season are pretty good, the journey track also gives you some rewards to level up in there faster and gives you some direction to try some stuff out

since it was made mostly for new players

and right now there is the halloween event to get some cosmedics by hunting a special bounty and some mini robo dogs

if you are having trouble, try matchmaking for bounties or calling for backup

It really depends on how you want to play the game. Do you want to optimize your build fast and tear through other content? Do you want to take a slower route and enjoy the progression slowly? It all depends on how you want to approach the game, progression and what your playstyle preference is.

Lower difficulties will become too easy and therefore boring and higher difficulties will punish you more but offer better loot and XP

mathcmaking is a good way to get more bounties, because if someone else in the group gets it then they can start it and with luck you get it during the bounty

Sorry for pinging you here, I found a workaround for the unreachable mods until they fix it.
You can go to a vendor to the Sell tab and you can find your unreachable mods there, you can mark them as junk to deconstruct them or just sell them there.
At least your inventory doesn't get cluttered.

I disagree with this, it's content and build dependent but they can be useful for quick clears when you're doing enough damage that the half damage thing doesn't significantly slow you down (eg solo heroic with a meta striker build).

dealing 50% less damage to the target you want to kill and the other 50% trickles down somewhere else seems like a bad idea for clearing, unless the build is determined hh and content is something without many helmets

If the time it takes you to kill an enemy at half damage is less than the time it takes to reaim at another enemy (who might be in cover or otherwise awkward to target) then it's a net win. I used them a lot during stretch goals last season to speedrun solo heroic strongholds, with times like 8.30 for DUA it didn't seem like they were holding me back at all

The mini warhounds spawn where the loot goblin usually would - out of man hole covers scattered around the map. To farm them for named items, and for the houndsman bounties, you can do a circular route fast travelling to Jefferson Trade, DZ South Entrance, Tidal Basin, and DCD HQ - all reliable spots where goblin/warhounds will spawn.

No, I've confrimed it's the gpu being utilized 100%, must be the live background in the menu? Running at 1440p/100Hz, in-game it usually holds up at 100fps, and in the menu it goes down to around 64. I use windowed mode (the game really hates alt-tabbing to the desktop in fullscreen - especially if the desktop is a different resolution than in-game (or only when that's the case, not sure)

yes, i believe you're correct. i've encountered problems with other games in fullscreen mode and at different rez than desktop when alt-tabbing, so not the game's fault - just the high gpu usage in the character select menu. it's a menu, and gpu is at 100% usage. it changed with the new live background introduced tuesday - the hazy green halloween theme. i'll see if it's fog, particles, or some other graphics setting that's linked to it...

i think there are a lot of places you can get the trophy or patch. i have them already and i've noticed i open a lot of empty weapon caches that would usually reward a weapon but they reward nothing. That's where the trophy or patch would have been found but i got them already. the game seems to check for whether you already have it AFTER rng selects it as a reward for the cache you're opening, so opening it gives you nothing instead of a weapon.

Difficulty affects minimum roll, directives give you more loot. Anyway mod is the hardest thing to farm, don't sweat over a few crit percentage, it doesn't make much of a difference to an overall build

So I have a solution to get more ammo when doing the houndsman bounty what you want to do is do a regular bounty that's in the garage area. When you get to the garage area and you kill off the first three enemies that are outside the garage. The gate opens when the gate opens. What you want to do is pull back a little. Cancel the bounty and then do the Huntsman. The garage will be open for you to grab ammo since they don't put an ammo box on the top and I don't know why they didn't do it for the event. But if you ever run out of ammo that's best way to do it

assuming you spend something like 15 printerfilaments but it'll double your experience

i see. i have a lot of skill items in the list to get to max proficiency. was planning of farming a skill build so i can spam them in the most enemy dense missions solo. dont even know if it will work or not

but maybe now i can just farm for gear mods and deconstruct them for printer filaments and save them for the event

you don't need to use the skill. can just have a strong build with them equipped and they'll go up in expertise experience

Quickstep is very good, speed is awesome. They also drop all the other novelty guns. Cooler is fun with tipping scales, you can prestack the buff before combat and it’s silent

What I think the problem is is that everything is now handed to us. Not like back in the day when this game first came out and the grind was for real but to get certain gear pieces and certain things the grind was real. But now it's like the developers just handed us high-end stuff and yet some people struggle and I don't know why

I think the issue is still stuff like “this build doesn’t work for a specific scenario” or “this gear doesn’t go well with the other”

And the XP thing it's not an issue cuz if you go into your priority objectives you can pick the XP ones over the exotics cuz you're already getting exotics in the game. They're forgetting a thousand is nothing

niche question, anyone have any luck changing audio language? im not sure if its regionally locked but i cant change it nor do i have the option of any other languages in the game properties, has anyone had the same issue and fixed it

generally you need to pick other languages when first installing the game, that makes it download the necessary language packs

not sure if there's a way to get them after without reinstalling

Yes, different platform has different save game structure. There's not a lot of resources and they don't want to risk corrupting player data if they do crossplay.

How do you start a legacy manhunt? Is it because I'm missing quests in DC? Because literally every manhunt is greyed out when I click on it and I can't accept them

think there's a tab on the map for legacy manyhunts that just lets you fast travel to the mission start point
there'll be a floating panel you go interact with it at the bottom of that screen is a button to change the mission you look for a yellow icon in the mission for it being a manhunt mission

you'll get to this screen. see the highlight coloring Toggle Mission Mode? press the key there and watdch the icon i circled in red change
