Here's the thing.
The devs of xdef were ahead of schedule on alot of there content. This content update is the stuff that they had finished it's all the season 3 content and stuff from 4-8 that was complete.

i never said siege was realistic. i said grounded in reality, before operators like jackal, cav and bb were added, things that could be possible and even based on real life prototypes but that didn't last. i quit the game soon after year 2 because it was getting out of hand and it's even more insane now how out of hand it is. the game used to be enjoyable, even before operation health (which added it's own mass of bugs), and the more sci-fi it went, the more the maps go reworked into worse version we never asked for... the less i enjoyed the game and the more it changed from its original vision. i personally don't look for realism in a video game, because it's a video game, it's fiction, it's never going to be realistic, but sometimes, something closer to a tactical shooter while still being a fun arcade shooter, is just simple fun. now it's a mess of sci-fi and god awful map designs. i haven't kept up with the game recently but im sure they still refuse to release the polish map for some reason instead of reworking maps.

even then, it was more fun to have a silly acog on the mac than having some magic magnet or tracking device.

no it's got nothing with how complex the game has become, i'd usually be one of the quicker people in the team to learn the new ops and maps and in fact back when i had a team to play ESL matches with we'd make our lives more complex by going against the meta and doing things no one would think of doing or thought wouldn't work because that's how we'd win. people expect meta picks and strats but we tested a bunch of stuff and often went with what was considered the worst ops and sites and it actually helped most of the time because the other team didn't know what to do anymore.

i just preferred a game that wasn't as sci-fi. but despite all that, there's still other factors that contributed to quitting siege. as it got more popular, the cheating got really bad, then most of the map reworks just weren't good at all, and eventually one by one the team was quitting the game. it wasn't fun anymore. it was just disappointment after disappointment and as operators started looking more and more like they came out of overwatch, it just didn't feel appealing to play anymore.

even after quittin i was still watching the pro league but after kix passed away i kinda lost interest, i love interro but it just wasnt the same.

I think people forget that for quite a while the Tom Clancy games have been taking liberties for their setting

Like canonically, in lore, Ghost Recon future soldier has happened, the events of that game have happened in the siege timeline because they share the same universe

The reason siege lore is considered bad is the characters slowly stopped being grounded in concept or were clearly going for an obvious agenda, and to be clear I don’t care at all for the complaining about agendas but its painful seeing them do it on characters that have little to no actual reason to be considered operators and given painfully obvious or outlandish designs or backstories

They completely wrote out the white mask terrorist group and just completely removed their existence in the game too

Even the most recent villain in lore mocks people who complained about the lack of a serious tone which would be fine but he has led to zero pay offs in the story

Although I guess the 'most players prefer' argument isn't really one I can back up. It's certainly the dominant approach here in this discord, but I guess that doesn't represent the player base as a whole

I tried the 502 and the 502x (it's the one I am using right now). But it's horrible. It's like it was built for a child, part of my palm is not even resting on it and I keep accidentally clicking on the various side buttons because there isn't enough room for my fingers to rest, they are too close, and yes, on top of that, there are too few. It is a serious downgrade from the 602 🫤

604 was close to being as good as the 602, but yes, has also been retired.

When I moved one stick the other detected the same motion and it replicated. I had to apply alcohol inside of them

basically what should be known about this game is that there are no happy endings. the players are destined for a fall from grace. how exactly you get there is largely up to you, but the outcome is going to make the world worse, not better. if you're not interested in that, i totally understand, honestly i'd be hesitant to participate in a campaign like that myself. but my intent is not to give the players an unenjoyable experience or have an antagonistic relationship to players, it's to make a point while hopefully having some fun roleplay along the way. @ or DM me to reply

Most people join to get something done one time, then keep the server around until they need something the next time. Having mandatory pings, or even the ability for people to ping others en masse like you described would lead to the entire server being a ghost town, bc no-one wants to be pinged like that, especially for every message.

To a degree the series don't matter many watts the gpu is rated for matter. In the 3000 series there was a 3070 laptop gpu that was out forming a 3080 laptop gpu.

Then other factors is the cooling. The better cooling the more power the gpu are given to work. If they stay cool it will dial it's power back to stay cooler. This is the same in a desktop.

My z13 flow with a 12900h and a 3050ti iirc, can run div 2 pretty well with everything at low settings and some undervolt to keep from asking too much power.

usually nvidia has a structure for TDP that all manu's follow

with 50 series the manufacturers have full control over TDP

and clock speeds etc

only for laptops, this does not apply to desktop

you could have a 5090 chip but its downclocked and under volted from factory for productivity purposes

and another 5090 chip thats fully overclocked and way higher TDP for gaming

this could be outperformed gaming wise by a 5070 etc

the description of the laptop matters alot more now.

with how far vapor chambers have come cooling is less of a concern with laptops

board power is the key thing to look at aswell as the description, youll get lots of hints to the performance target and how the board is specced power wise

also dont use a full gaming laptop if productivity is in mind. Gaming laptops are most likely gonna have a 40W CPU which will not be great for production tasks

roblox and d2 are not hard games to run so id highly recommend something that is a balance between CPU and GPU power
