We started on playstation and then took a year or so break on it after we finished New York DLC. And then decided to play on pc, played for a few months/year and stop then came back (two - three days ago.) And have no clue what to really do now. We don't have the new dlc yet. But still. Any advice and information would be extremely helpful!

(P.s we never did raids or legendary difficulty. I think I did one raid once and it's the one that had the two Black Tusk Hounds. But that's it, and I'm pretty sure (99% sure) I got carried.)

I'm not really sure, never had that issue when I was on ps4. Have you checked you don't have a gear set that's hard capping your hp?

Armour doesn't regenerate until you're out of combat, so if your radar is still showing red you need to find and clear those enemies. You can also apply an armour kit to fix it, or use a healing skill

Ok, I know what you mean. The number of visible armour bars changes relative to your level, so it's likely you've leveled up but haven't got improved gear yet

Or you've swapped blue core items (which give an armour boost) for red/yellow core ones (which boost weapon damage or skills)

The current season is getting close to finishing so it's worth prioritising the season pass, manhunts, season journey. Beyond that, filling recalibration library, leveling expertise, and farming more/better builds are all useful goals

As well as looting/buying/crafting gear and weapons to match your level, make sure you haven't wandered into a high level area of the map (judiciary square is right next to the starting area but has much higher level enemies).
You can improve survivability a lot by careful positioning, using tall cover to manage line of sight and ensure multiple enemies can't attack you at the same time (this is a very useful skill to practice for the endgame, as the best builds are all damage and minimum armour)
You can also use the crusader shield to absorb damage or other skills like assault turret and striker drone to distract and damage enemies

You can ping me if I am on, and playing. I usually play a fair amount on the weekends and have no issues walking lower levels through content to help boost them up. There is plenty of time before the season ends to get the main stuff done at a minimum, especially with a competent group/sheppard.

They're effectively a repeatable activity you can do for the xp and loot

Over time you'll want to max out all specializations, they all have value in different builds. Gunner is probably the most popular but if you don't own the ultimate edition or year one pass you'll have to unlock it with a lengthy series of challenges first

i wouldn't even consider them good fast travel points. usually you spawn inside buildings and you have to get out too

so don't look at them as such, as kettle said they're best used as repeatable farming points for xp and mats (and blueprints since you're new)

There's currently a Season Pass bonus XP event, that's active until the 12th.
Priority Objectives give the best result for your time, in particular "Stronghold" with an XP reward.

IIRC someone mentioned that one of those can give you 5-7 levels of your Season Pass.

Heads up: friendly resource convoys, classified missions, safehouses, missions, "pilot", all work as fast travel too.
You're rarely more than 200-300m away from any objective.

Chest piece (also mask, holster) is craftable. And you can go with the “random brand”, which does not require base materials. This “random brand” is actually (for today) a total misnomer, and not truly random, but only random among the launch game blueprints. So the chance is actually quite decent to get a Yaahl (vs. taking the chances among 33 brands). On the flip side, you will never obtain a Yaahl backpack, glove and knee pad this way (and have to do DZ, DZ vendor or Legacy Caches).

When doing countdown or summit, you can select what kind of loot you want to target. Whichj gearset or piece you want.

For example, you can target Strikers gear.

Or you could target chest pieces.

But you can't target both.

Many players are farming countdown on challenging difficulty so that would be the easiest and fastest

The gulf between normal and hard is not great, and honestly between hard and Challenging isn't huge either. The big jump is Challenging to heroic

But i was wondering if anyone was able to let me know or tell me any way I could get the Nemesis sniper Rifle Barrel - The Scourge from the Capitol Building Invaded Black Tusk Mission. I'm not kidding when I say I've been trying to get this sniper rifle everytime I've been on and off this game for the past 4 years and never has the capitol building been invaded when I was on. Is the capitol building never invaded anymore or is there another way to get the last piece of the gun? I literally only need this one piece, I have everything else.

Fog of war is fine to have on if you know the spawns (just requires ears instead of eyes)

Thats down to your personal preference. I do solo Heroic with 4 directives.

What you do is down to whatever you can handle

Once your build is up to scratch, solo Heroic is fine.

Try doing it this way. Put it on hard with no directives. If you find it too easy, go to challenging. When you find that too easy, add a few directives.

Higher difficulty is better for xp, if that's what you're after. But you also have to factor in clear speed.

World Tier was removed.

FOr an example, if you get double the xp for clearing heroic over challenging but it takes you 3x the time. Then it's not worth doing

The difference between hard and challenging is negligible, as long as you've learned the spawns of enemies theres really not much difference.

Challenging to Heroic is a big jump, adding a huge health pool and damage buff to enemies and removing most of the lowest tier (red HP) enemies and replacing them with Elites.

One of the biggest benefit to making Challenging your new "low end" difficulty, is that enemies only drop gold/gearset/exotic loot, and with CP's, you also get a blueprint for completing each one, with a limited pool and no repeats possible.

But the loot drop chance really isn't.

Loot:difficulty in div2 is a little complicated, basically increasing the difficulty does increase the drop rate of things like Exotics, but the actual important part is that as you raise the difficulty, your drops won't necessarily roll higher, you just have a better chance for the drops to roll better.

incredibly simplified tl;dr raising the difficulty makes it so that an item's worst possible rolls are higher than the previous difficulty, meaning that over time you will get better stuff, but you can still get "godrolls" at that lower end.

Make sure you have done as much of the Project yourself as you can right now.

e.g. Deconstruct the gun from Tidal > run the other Invaded Stronghold again for the 1 part of the week that it can drop.

YMMV, but in our clan (which has a much of watch grindy folks like myself) consensus is pretty clear that challenging is a bit more productive.

I use an Iron Lung / Ongoing Directive build with Gunner, and that pretty much mitigates all the ammo restricting directives (and helps people who join me too.)

General aim is 'improve your builds and gameplay so you can complete harder content'
See the spreadsheet pinned in #td2-build-advice for a selection of top builds, take a look through and see what appeals.
Then you'll want to start farming for gear, filling your recalibration library, gaining proficiency in everything, etc.

For today there's a 5x XP multiplier on season xp so I'd recommend taking full advantage of that by doing all the manhunt scout tasks (since they reward good season xp on completion).

I can't say the weapon has many good qualities other than its looks, since, for example, the St. Elmos adds more to the game with a few gear sets. I really do wish everyone had this weapon in the loot pool, but why make such a fuss about Veteran Rewards with a big announcement when everyone gets everything from exclusive DZ, raids, and special rewards these days? @noble owl re: DZ dropping EB/Rav/Bighorn, even if you get lucky and have the incredibly small drop happen, you still need to extract.

You don't actually need anything from there, you can get basically everything from PvE zones.
Most of the time when you see a cheater, it's just a player who knows how the system works better than you. Like most PvP games, sheer time spent is a big help.

I miss DZ sometimes. Been thinking getting my DZ level higher since I'm at about 36.

Occasionalyl we have DZ bonus XP events, it's worth hitting it up during that. Feels very rewarding.

If your goal is to go in there when it's empty though, I'd recommend picking a DZ with bad TL, most players tend to avoid those days, overall.

Targeted Loot, means enemies have a little extra chance on top of their normal drops to give a specific loot.
You can see what it is if you hover over the DZ map.
(you can also target it yourself in Countdown/Summit, and there's set ones for every mission/stronghold/zone)

Switch world difficulty or reset control points. More enemy activity when CPs are enemy controlled. Higher chances named enemies to spawn around

@noble owl Named Enemies only spawn in the open world once every 30 minutes, but if you @languid bay want to get named enemies fast, crank the Control Point (CP's) up to Lvl 4 (heroic), a named enemy will spawn each of the 2 waves.

Public Executions/Hostage Rescue also give bounties yeah, as an alternate.
