if you are fresh character and you are just off the leveling up to 40.. it's advisable to do the following:

1. Extract talents and attributes first for all gear you get unless it's god roll
2. Donate junk to proficiency/expertise
3. Crush for mats what's left

Bro. I bought the game on release, deleted every piece of gear/weapon I had at the start of this season. All of my exotics, literally everything. Crafted generic gear, weapons and started from scratch. Game is so much more fun when you have gear to grind for and gear to optimize. With that said, just deconstruct old gear instead of making a new character. Since characters progression translates on the same account and mule characters are no longer allowed, no real reason to start a new character.

the reason for a new character is on the level on why you would make new characters in games like Division 2. To get more projects done, dailies/weeklies, more mats, more attempts at Eagle Barer and rewards in raids, and more XP overall for scav points. I've done it in other games, that's why I have 4 agents on this one.. though I do want to delete one for the HC character.

not really.. with the boost to scav points getting 3 times mats/money and bounties you can do at any point for 12k-15k e-credits per bounty, you don't really need to sell anything in general.. basically play the game, get scav points, don't use them all, keep some in the bag, and crush everything else

for 20-30 scav points you can now get 1-1.2m e-credits.. more than enough for anything really. So no need to sell anything really.

The game is already easy enough to gather resources and materials to begin with. Never felt the need to make another character to this. Been maxed out on resources for years, but each of their own. At this point in the game, it's more difficult to get rid of gear, supplies and materials than it is to gather them. After deleting all of my gear and burning my resources, I now have over 6k scavenging points after their mule character update that I have to burn through now.

I read that they plan on introducing an economy system, hope to see the system have some actual impact to the gameplay where players can sell resources/materials to other players or something.

You have to go to the boat where you fight the hunter first

yeah I had that same problem. Clearing the activities at and near the canisters and fully exploring the carousel so that it's fully uncovered on the map, and then logout -> login cycle fixed it for me

With Priority Objectives counting them as missions played, you can easily justify re-running them a bunch.
And it's not 48 times each, you get 2 comms per run. There's a grand total of ~20. So it's a max of 10.

I reached level 40 and received the SHD Watch before I purchased the Warlords of New York expansion. After buying the expansion on Ubisoft Connect (base game is on Steam), I completed the entire campaign, but the SHD Watch is still grayed out and I cannot access its menu.
The watch is in my inventory and SHD levels are increasing, but I can’t use or interact with it.
I have already tried restarting the game, talking to the Quartermaster again, accessing the Specialization table, playing in a solo session, and verifying game files, but nothing has worked.
Can you give me some suggestions?

for those who are interested I think i found a way to fix the directives.. when you log in if you get one of the whack previous seasons directives.. travel to DZ South - Golf CP.. once you spawn it will activate Ragers.. from there you should be able to set the directives normally.. worked every time for me so far

Simple The Division 1 may be an older game but a level can have a remake so it works in The Division 2.

They are both different games but part of the program from Division 1 is developed further in time and became The Division 2. You don't throw away everything and start all new from scratch.

Challenging and Heroic have the same blueprint pool, and you only get 1 for completing it either way.

The main benefits to doing them on Heroic is that a) more XP, and b) a Named Enemy spawns each round, so more Named Items.

Just to clarify for those confused: the 2nd BP you are getting for Heroic is a weird secondary one from the chest itself, but it's only one of 2 BP's.

WH is a fantastic choice to go for if you are on a build where your main stat is already "sorted out".
e.g. a crit build where you can't add anymore crit without breaking the cap, WH is a great choice.

It's especially useful on MMR builds, since that stability buff can help you hit 100%, which allows for perfect shots, even with hip-fire.

Is there a way to turn off directives that are not offered this season? I was about to run Roosevelt Island but can't turn off a directive I don't want since it's not shown in the UI for the mission directive options.

So whenu get the invaded mission to get difficulty up should i clear everything in the map area or just activities

what difficulty? if you mean control points, just do the things that have a thing line connected to the control point ot make it harder

otherwise you cna increase your world level manually in the map, it reloads everything adn sets all activities to that difficulty

as far as i know for at least one of the rewards in it you and the person you referred have to play together in a group for 2 hours
i would also assume you 2 have to be within a certain radius of each other for that 2 hours of time as well

Got back to TD2 just recently and got right back into Countdown (my favourite). What have they done to the loot drops? Playing heroic and it’s worse that what i used to get running challenging.

I have every viable build on the game. Striker outpaced everything by such a wide margin that's there's zero real point to wear anything else for legendary. And by legendary i mean tidal basin. The others can be soloed easily as they are no more than heroic plus.

this is incorrect.. you running Striker in a group of 4 is not going to make a fun time even with striker.. you will need other builds to do it.. unless you want to play the whole game alone all the time.. Heartbreaker, OD and others can be just as potent as striker with far more utility

This also applies to things like "You have to run Coyote Mask" with Striker....No, I can run Exodus gloves on my all red build and have my life saved every 40 seconds and save us from a wipe when you are all dead 🙂

I guess youre right. Legendary is the only chance for a real challenge in the game. Indont enjoy jist mowing down enemies in heroic. Heroic is just far too easy to require any thought to complete.

like some people they wish they'd add a Legendary Difficulty to the world difficulty, i'd try it to see if i can do things like i do now, but i'd probably still mostly play heroic since i don't want my play time based on 1-2 legendary missions
just like people try heroic countdown i'll stick to challenging for the increased success rate and loots in it

the old progression used to be you get to 30 in DC. learn about black tusk through the 3 invaded strongholds and finally get to tidal basin. then you head to new york and was locked there until you were 40 and finished the last mission there, got your watch then go back to DC if you felt like it
