but the real issue, I'm guessing was - new player at level 2 find this random green synbol on the map goes to the door in a bottom passage next to the base and goes into it not knowing wtf it is.

plays it, gets nuked in 1 second, gives up.

one of the problems i see is if they use that to level up, they may never learn how builds truly work
A: they go in level 20 and get 20 levels just running it over and over again and believe from playing that all builds can be made without totally understanding gearsets and brandsets plays a role in the talents

also the AI in descent is 'tuned' for max level response timings/traits. The open world where you first run into Hyena at level 2-3 is slow to respond and hides with minimal damage.

this season and last season they introduced modifiers to the game for the duration of the manhunt. think the intended thing is using it for the climax finale mission

tier 1-4 if you read it someplace (forget where) you'll see what each tier gives you at 5 you get your skills Overcharged (usually only obtain this with a weapon talent, backpack talent or destroying your deployed hive) as long as your gear has 6 skill tiers on it (yellow battery icon i think?)

Any sticky is usually great at Nemesis, since most of the time it lands behind you or you have way more than enough time to jump out of it.
Best combo for Nem imo is always any firefly (blinder preferred) and any sticky (burn and explo preferred)
Full list of what Nem will have if you have x:

Decoy - Random, had shock trap last I tried, bombadier drone when we ran with Gen
Trap, Turret, Drone - gets the same

heyo everyone.. so after 6 years I've decided to try Division 2 since all games suck these days. I am actually super impressed. I don't know why I never played it. I guess i was too into Destiny and COD. But I'm having a blast. I'm level 20 now and just started. I do have a couple of questions if people can help me understand. So a bit TLDR.

1. In order to get better weapons and gear, at level 20 I can only sometimes see them at the vendors to buy them. They really still don't drop probably because of my level. Is this the only way to attain them ealier in the game?

2. Is the key to the builds in Div 2 to combine gear pieces to get the extra set bonuses right? I am looking for crit damage/headshot modifiers now but I actually figured out what the bonus sets do. What's your take on this and how I should play it. Go with set benefit approach or go for specific increased attributes?

3. I am trying to see all activities I can do in the world and similar but there are so many things. Decent, Dark Zone, bounties, settlement tasks etc. What is the beneficial way for me to do to be most efficient leveling up and getting good stuff? I would also like to do activities in kind of chronological way but I see there are DLC things also mixed in with the rest of the content. So just confused a bit.

4. Is there a way to upgrade weapons in a sense to increase stats and some kind of infusions or upgrades that go beyond crafting and unlocking mags or under barrels and similar in the White house? When I say this I'm thinking like improving those individual items to get better stats.

5. Oh and if someone could tell me what is raid vs dark zone and similar. I still haven't played those.

I bought the ultimate edition of the game with DLC and all that. Thanks.

1. Just pick up whatever you find and replace your gear with better ones. Vendors are optional as they are quite expensive at low levels.

2. Don't worry about builds until you get to lv 40

3. The priority for you now is to complete Story mode. Do all the main missions, projects and side missions. Each zone has a lv requirement so just go along with that.

4. Same as 2.

5. Raids are 8-player PvE activities that contain exclusive exotics. DZ is PvEvP.

Thanks.. so DZ you actually can fight other players as well? Raid is pure PvE. I guess i'll have to see how raid is like when I get higher.

Just a follow up on the gear, I was just concerned I'm not upgrading some items and kneecapping myself with damage/health as I'm going through main missions. Right now I'm in a weird sport where at level 20 I can't really progress much further because my next mission is 24 and it's a bit rough. I did actually buy Superior and High-End weapons from the vendor and using them is night and day compared to regular blue items. That's why I asked if I can get them or upgrade them to follow my level progression if that makes sense?

I meant, I have an LMG I like that's Superior and a Marksman Rifle that's High End. They were so nice to use but I bought them at level 19. The drops are very rare for these, I'm still getting mostly blue ones so I might have to buy from vendors what I see to get to use them. So I was wondering if there's a way to actually upgrade my LMG and Marksman Rifle to follow me with level if I put resource materials or similar, or no, I have to get newer versions with higher level?

Iron Horse is intended for level 40 as it was released during or after WONY (totally forget) and it does have some mechanics that requires some teamwork and probably the one raid where a few people have to speak

^Div2 is an endless looter, you can pretty much always gain more stuff by re-doing the content.
However: the XP is the big change.

You get the initial XP upon your first completion, but only enemy XP afterwards, which is a lot less overall.

otherwise if you're just talking the shield's health? don't think they did anything to it, but the frenzied enemies (glows read) i think does damage like you were fighting an agent with glass cannon on
