Exotic Components these days are so easy to come by, that it's really not worth even buying Danny's stock anymore.

You can speed it up/skip it on PC at least. Open the cache and immediately press your E key, and it should should skip the animation and take you to the "specialization" menu. Then press Q to go back to the apparel cache menu, rinse and repeat. If you do the E + Q thing fast enough, it speeds up the process significantly. Not sure if it works the same way on console/controller

You see where the expertise/proficiency thing is? Will have two numbers on the left. One will be like 5 with a x/x and below that one with a bigger number? So the top one is your rank (the 5) with the x/x being the current things you have proficient (used to level 10) out of how many you need to hit rank 6. The one thats x/480 (forgot the number but its bigger...) is the total amount of things you have done. Idk if this helps... focus on levelling stuff you aren't proficient and donate brands/gearsets ect. Keep named items to level yourself since some are harder to get for donating

Strikers mainly wins because as well as top dps in most circumstances, it's also easy to build and easy to use. No need to faff about tagging multiple enemies like nego, no worry of losing all your damage against extra tanky enemies like OD or hotshot. Just point and click.

That OD reason is exactly why I've stapled the x-bow to my build.
It's an older trick, but it still holds water.

found out the hard way that skill builds are just not good for the beginning of Countdown, haven't gotten past the first room yet lmao

You can get a decent striker build up really easily, just run 4 piece with memento backpack and a ceska chest or you can run coyotes mask instead, an st elmos engine assault rifle

Well people are past purple gear tbh and use level 1 gear now. Legendary DUA duo was done with all grey gear and just an elmo, and recently I did 5 pc grey gear heroic 5 directive Lincoln memorial and Raucey took up the challenge and even posted a vid. Both have vids up actually.

My agent has a special backpack apparel, it always was completely visible, i.e. no plates that obstruct the view. Today I noticed that the armor plates are visible and the backpack is not completely visible anymore. Is that a setting I changed? Was it some update?

yes, the special apparel items got slots in the apparel customization menu instead of being cosmetic mod slots equipped on individual gear pieces. The individual gear pieces had them unequipped, so put them back on through the apparel menu

You can't matchmake for Normal raids.
Discovery you can, but Discovery Raids are 100000% worthless.

(discovery doesn't drop the exotics, can't start/progress the Projects/can't drop the BP's from bosses, has easier enemies, and different mechanics).

That explains it.
Heroic requires speed and precision, and has basically the same rolls as Chall.
The only real reason to run Heroic over Chall is that you get more CD credits (marginally), so it's better with a dedicated group.

If it makes you feel better, you're going to be losing and retaking them a ton of times anyway.
since the CP's have a completion loot, when you finish them on Lvl 3 or 4 (chall and heroic, same loot pool).

You can see the full pool at your Crafting Table, the right-hand side of the screen lists where something drops. "3/4" is a CP.

It's where you get a ton of gun mods, weapon BP's, some crafting stuff, etc.

You have to farm those before, but if you farm it with someone who has gotten it before he can get it and drop it for you

@rancid geode To clarify: the Nemesis can drop from TL (targeted loot) as soon as you have the Blueprint, you don't need to get all the parts first.

You should be able to get the blueprint this week, after getting the scope from tidal basin you'll need to go back to invaded dua for the next part, then rerun GWH for the blueprint.
If you don't get the blueprint this week, it could be months before GWH is invaded again.

Target loot masks in countdown is the usual recommendation, you can also just focus on priority objectives with exotic rewards

If hunters are already dead, rest you get is trash. The faster you start new run, the quicker you get more CD coins and better loot.

If you skip heli waiting for 7-8 runs, that's already enough time saved for a full run.

This new season is manipulative and very tricky. It does not want to tell you exactly what you need to do. You have to play constant guessing game for hours until one piece of the information pops up when you’re doing something that’s confirmed registering

The devs are now forcing us to use specific shade technology to complete the scouting mission

It's one of the most popular ARs amongst the general player base and YouTubers have been singing it's praises since its release. The build nerds here are generally more concerned with pointing out that it's not quite as high dps as some other options.

Yeah I've never understood it really. You basically sacrifice a great damage talent to use it since that talent doesn't really do much in a dps build. Surely it's based damage can't be high enough to compensate for that (never done the maths).

I tried to use it in a status build but it was unwieldy and I think there are better options for that.

Its base damage isn't any higher than a regular police m4, the crit mods give it a slight advantage, I think the main advantage though is the handling, if you can beam heads more reliably with it then that's worth something (very difficult to quantify the exact numbers though)

The reduced ammo consumption is a nice minor boon though, and the CC can come in clutch against annoying enemies like rogues and hunters

That said, I don't run it very often on any of my builds
