What would the competitive halo scene be like if franchising happened

I’m not sure franchising will ever work. COD is managing it but I’m not sure it’s working there. Overwatch tried it very unsuccessfully. It’s tough. I honestly think esports is a lot like streaming right now. Way too many different series and too many options. Audience is spread too thin. I think streaming needs to consolidate some and I think esports needs to go back to something similar to MLG or Dreamhack where you go to an event and you’re able to watch multiple titles and become a fan of multiple titles. I don’t watch CoD at all, but if I was attending the event and it was Halo in the morning with CoD in the evening, I’d stay and watch both. Would do wonders for growing esports in general.

But then again it's cool that eSports is huge and redbull jumped into that world in 2006 and monster catching on when envy and EG was still around

Well MLG is no longer a thing. But when it was it was a Major event with similar prize money as we see in today’s Majors. A grassroot event is smaller more local events with some prize money, but not the same as a Major. Think LVT Orlando event before London.

What I’m saying is that IF instead of 343 having HCS and instead of having CDL or Overwatchs league, whatever it was called, if the money invested from those studios was put into MLG, Dreamhack, or equivalent, you’d have a much healthier ecosystem. The cost to put on an event is enormous. Instead of having 15 events among those three games, have five that have all three games. With an investment from the studios, plus bigger and better sponsors since more eyes will be on the events, it is better economically for everyone.

Side stages, and Main stage.

There should also be 4 side tournaments between Friday/Saturday - and anyone can enter them if you get there early.
And the FFA too.

Those areas should also have some 'free play' sections - likely going to have the next Infinite content build on them where you can play custom games.

Drops will carry over time throughout the weekend, so 3 hours a day for the 3 days of the event will be enough for drops
It used to be like 2-3 hours per day for a certain set of drops, but they've changed it for this event

Well previously, you'd have to watch for 2 hours each day for the different drops. But now all the drops are available on day 1, the better drops just take way longer to actually get.

And yes, because of this change your progress is saved. So if first stream doesn't last 9 hours, we'll also have Saturday and Sunday streams to get the drops

Most pros play bumper jumper and jump with their left bumper and crouch by clicking their left stick. So then they don’t usually have jump and crouch on paddles because those controls are easy to access. I know Lucid has ping and swap weapon on paddles, but I don’t remember what else.

If you play default bindings, having jump and crouch on paddles makes sense, just most pros aren’t on default binding

Personally, I bumper jump and I have grenade, swap weapon, ping, and use equipment on my rear buttons. (I use A to grenade and X to use equipment)

I'm so excited for SLC! I feel so many teams are going in with something to prove. The guys on Pure to prove that last event wasn't just an exception and we have the rematch with Faze immediately in pool D. I expect Faze to bounce back after a disappointing event in Atlanta. For Optic i think this event might be make or break and no i don't think literally break (as breaking the team) but i think SLC will most definitely affect their vibe leading up to worlds. This obviously counts for any team but for Optic in particular, after so many grand finals i think a bad event or even just finishing outside of top 2 might affect them more negatively, potentially, than other teams.

Year 1 of HCS was incredibly strong and full of people.

From a production standpoint, HCS has improved each year for Infinite.
They've handled the HCS very well.

The overall decline in participation is more due to the state of the game in an overall sense, and public opinion of the game.

If you watch any of the broadcasts live, or even go to an event - you'll see the passion is still there fore HCS.

Next weekend is the last Major of the season - I highly suggest you check it out.

As for this channel in the server, it was never busy - people tend to use community servers more to talk about HCS.

I’m so salty right now, I was so close to getting the ivory guard coating, but it was all for nothing. I’m malding right now. Wasted 7 hours of my life trying to get it by streaming it on my phone while it worked. Sometimes it wouldn’t even get progress. I don’t get how they think people have time to watch for 9 hours! I think all those resets compromised the competitive integrity of the grand finals, i think they affected Optic more than SSG, i think they needed that momentum to continue. With that said some of the resets happened when SSG was already ahead, 15-11 on Recharge slayer and they were still scoring in Interference strongholds too and with how the second series went their victory is unquestionable imo, they're clearly the best Halo Infinite team right now. Again though, if the problem was with a player equipment, you should not be allowed to quit and it's very strange that HCS doesn't seem to have detailed rules for these type of things.

From what I saw the problem was controller aim assist, production probably left a mouse plugged in and it was accidentally moved somehow

From my own experience there is no way to turn aim assist back on controller without fully restarting the game

Yeah i think I never saw Lucid so disappointed after a loss. They played great and were in the best position to win but even that wasn't enough against SSG. Champs is gonna be interesting because the stakes will be higher than ever and we'll see if SSG can manage the pressure of going in as favourites and i also expect FaZe to bounce back and be a real threat, so we'll see. It's gonna be great either way

I think it depends more on what happens with the partnership with teams.

They might not be able to afford salaries if the pertnerships don't continue.
