Clans have no bearing on HCS competition.

You simply need to:
-Be of age
-Live in one of the prescribed areas (waiting to confirm for Y3, but so far it's been Can/US, Mexico, Europe, Australia/NZ)
-Sign up on Faceit for Online tournaments or Esports Engine for in-person LANs with your 4 person team.

Typically, the online tournaments help you earn seeding points for future online tournaments and the LANs.

(This is all in very simple terms and is just a basic overview without details).

And person Rank has no bearing, either.

They are almost ALL OPEN tournaments - not like many other esports.
There are a select few invitational tournaments that also happen each year, but even those aren't based on rank - they're more status based, and you are kinda hand-picked to play with your team.

not really, Orgs just have a hard time getting funding, its not necessarily the game, or HCS

recently had a talk about this, and how Pro ESport teams have hurt College teams (I'm a manager for my Universities Halo Team) in getting sponsored, they over promise and fail to meet their end of the bargain and its resulting in companies pulling their funds or just out right refusing to back ESport orgs, especially when you get people like Mr Beast who can make a promise and keep it. It results in companies looking for people like Mr Beast and ditch the ESports realm.
So when an org can't get the funds it needs, it either collapses like EUnited, or it trims fat to save money

so when you have an org in Europe and you pay a ton of money for your team to go to the States and they aren't bringing much back from it... IE Navi not winning worlds, then you as an org have to ask yourself, is it worth keeping that team? especially if you have teams that are performing and bringing more money back

never really was a "growth" faze. sure a lot of companies dove into it and sponsored ESport Orgs and what-not but the moment a company hits a rough patch economically, the first thing they cut is their support for ESports.
it's not as lucrative as traditional sports are.

plus, pro esport teams have really hurt the waters for sponsorships because they'll make large promises for their sponsors in viewership and most of the time they don't hit the goal. Unlike content creators like Mr Beast, who can promise say 400k viewers and double that.

that's why orgs like HCS rely on big pocketbooks like the Marines for an example because thats an organization that uses ESports as a recruiting tool and sees profit in it so they'll justify the expenses as well as hosting events like they did during the off-season

Sorry for the pun, but the 'optics' of bring back the 2022 Champions bundle, when the team isn't intact anymore, would not be positive.
