My hot take about that film is that the villain twist isn't as bad as people think it is, especially given the comic version of the character was a not great stereotype, to put it lightly

That list is missing a bunch of novels, comics and web series's, but like, don't try starting the lore dive with the Forerunner trilogy, that's a deep dive into some deep lore. Playing the games is just fine for starting to learn the lore

Also, ODST is different to Halo 3

I think Ben Kingsley being a PR front for the Mandarin is fine, I think Killian being the real villain instead of Maya Hansen was a waste.
The backdoor reasons for her being axed as the main antagonist suck as well.

Killian would've been a better MODOK candidate with his ties to AIM imo. But hey ho. Impossible to plan some of these things.
