Depends where on the Spartan Supersoldier-Military Pilot spectrum you want your Spartan to end up. Recently I used the Mirage core with the Talon helmet and UA/CDS-SPI-REV6 shoulders to pull off a fairly convincing UNSC pilot look

• Talon (UNSC issue, upgraded from normal BDUs)
• Aviator (Newest pilot helmet available)
• Extender (Mirage-specific, explicitly noted for pilot usage with a machine interlink IE vehicles)
• Pilot (Oldest MJOLNIR-specific helmet for the task)

Personally, depends on the Spartan. I'd say Aviator's your best bet, as it's the newest issue of the four and meant to work with the current top-of-the-line.

They're unrealistic in different directions but also similar in a core way;

Reach's armor at its core is still too small, and the extra plates are too fat. They clip constantly, and badly. Meaning the body is too thin to actually properly house a person and function properly, and the plates are too fat to actually let the person allegedly inside move.

4/5s body is too thin and too form-fitting to convincingly fit a person and still function, but its armor plating is also singificantly more lithe and sparse expressly to let the alleged body inside move around. It's part of why GEN2 cosplays have historically been more comfortable to move around in.

The armor is thinner in terms of the extra plates on GEN2 because it's designed with visual ergonomics in mind, as opposed to Reach, which is mostly just bulk for bulk's sake, which people took as being aesthetically 'realistic' without actually taking into account how badly even a completely plateless set clips (The default melee animation clips at the elbows even with no attached armor in Reach).

It's part of why, especially with Reachite armor renders, Spartans tend to be posed in very wide and imposing stances-because that's more of what the aesthetics are bent towards, as a consequence of how pudgy the plating is. It's too broad to actually physically function without intangibility, which means heavy clipping when posing. GEN2 still has this issue with some armors, mind, but the issue is mitigated by the shoulders moving more freely and the 'thick' plating largely being relegated to the torso and legs.

I tried a Foreign skull run on Heroic.
It went horribly.

I struggled on the Pillar of Autmn, but then there's Halo (The stage).

I suffered enough on the raiding section, so I reset and the ships didn't came.

So I walked all the way to the bridge.
Pretty much softlocked, because there's a Jackal on the Bridge and Two Red Elites on the activation panel.

So I have to reset the progress.

I'm not ready to beat Heroic with a Skull on, it's too hard.

I haven't done much grinding these past 2 days because of how obnoxious tryhards are, if bot bootcamp existed along with sbmm then the game wouldn't be falling apart as much as it is. people are losing interest in the game due to tryhards and lack of sbmm

In a perfect scenario the system is first building a team of similarly skilled players (for both sides) and then finding a match against an equally skilled team, but I imagine that leads to longer queue times and makes matchmaking more difficult

it was social, but there were tons of competitive players in social back then as well. H2 also had a hardcore ranked playlist. you might not see it as much nowadays cause its population is probly very low, but you'll still match them in mcc.
Infinite does match people based on skill, but I think it's more based on a team's overall mmr compared to the other team. That's why you'll get lots of games where one person has way more kills than everyone else instead of everyone having a similar amount of kills, but the game could still be close in score. That said, if you're not very good, most people could appear as a tryhard.
