My personal theory is that it got sidelined either for another storyline which didn't involve any ship coming in at all at that point.
It's either that, or, the plan was to make a story DLC but they cut it late in development due to shifts in development prioritizations, meaning that they knew they either wouldn't make any story DLC in a long time, or at all, when they cut it. Having it in would then put heavy expectations on them and upset the fanbase.
I feel like the scene could easily be the intro to a story dlc as well instead of a cliffhanger ending, so while it was cut it could still be used if they chose to.

Well mcc consists of the first four halo games u cannot individually buy between them but reach and odst are optional also you can choose which of the first four games u choose to install but u own them all

Try to do at least one match a day for the daily 500 xp bonus too

Nice. If you play pretty consistently it will go quick, especially using the double xp boosts when you get them

It took 4 days to get lvl 10 , so it will take 4 x 9.6 = 38.4 days (5.5 weeks or 1.3 months)

Well, if you play one match a day you can probably make it before the sun expands and consumes the earth.

Honestly without knowing how much you play, what you play, and how good you are at nailing down challenges even a rough estimate would be difficult.

I’d love to see 5v5 matchmaking in Halo MCC. I like small team game modes but 4v4 just seems a bit small. Adding one more to each team would make it more lively, especially with bigger maps like the ones in Reach.

There's one elite in the next hallway, I spend 5 minutes trying to kill him without dying, I eventually get close enough to melee him, but when he dies, he does that shooting thing, bringing my shield back down and finishing my health off
