Generally slow gameplay compared to their contemporaries, poor HUD layout (H2 mostly, but 'lower third' reticule is just laughably bad as an idea on maps about as vertical as a desk), poor multiplayer balance, lackluster user interface, poor story design compared to contemporaries (CE and 2 get by better than 3 does), poor vehicle gameplay design philosophy (More fluid is good, but the sluggish and floaty nature of vehicle controls makes them more mediocre), map packs, the list goes on.

Forge is the future. It was a saving bridge during the content ramp-up: essentially outsourcing construction to free laborers and then devoting resources to quality review and promotion. And MS/Xbox has explicitly stated that they plan to use AI to carry significant weight in development, such as game testing. So it would be cost-effective for them to let players make stuff in Forge and then use AI to test, giving us content that has been polished to good quality at reduced dev costs. It's exciting.

If it would take [purely for example purposes] a 20-person team to create a map content drop, but only 5 people + AI to review Forge content (created for free by players) to produce the same amount of content, that could only be positive for their budget and sustainability of game support.

Same quantity and cadence, similar tier of quality, at a reduced cost.

And of course, I'm not saying "AI + player labor allows them to fire 15 of the 20 people". Rather, I'm saying, if "we can sustainably keep a 5-person team on this long-term", then AI + free player Forge labor would enable them to deliver the content of 20 paid positions.

Might very well be too optimistic, but I really believe AI can help in a lot of situations where there is so much passion for an IP but just budget realities constrain things.

The main spartan is meant to be a lot more of a thinker with his weapons, due to the fact that unlike Master Chief. He doesn't have the exact same experience and skill.
So he uses his grappling hook to trip up the bosses to stun them for other attacks
