It's been more than 6 mo since last time I played infinite on pc (the xbox app ver). Last time I played the campaign, the game randomly crashed several times and I quit.
Crashes happened completely random, it could be during gameplay or it could be during loading the gameplay.
I 'm planning to play some games probably next week or so, and I don't want to wasting time downloading 80+GB of files just to find out it doesn't work.
Has anything been improved since then? Should I give the pc ver another try or should I just play on an xbox? Sorry for the long post.

The game has never crashed for me so I'd recommend making sure everything is fine with your pc
But then again soooo many things can cause crashing

I dont know what they did with this netcode, but its unplayable since season 5. Its heartbreaking but I might have to stope playing Infinite because I cant go more than a game or get half a game without unstable packet loss and jitter.

I have the game pass version and for me it got worse in terms of performance, i have 3080 and had to put everything on low at 1080p. I don't know if it's a memory related issue or even server related but sometimes i just load in a game and there's micro-stutter and frame drops, it doesn't feel smooth at all. Since i lowered my settings it's not that noticeable but it still happens at times, the difference is that instead of going from 100 to 60 or lower it goes from 200 to 100. Then the game after that it is smooth again.

I just don’t understand how mcc does it so much better then infinite 🫠. What i mean by that is I tend to have much better experiences in matches on mcc. The flow between matches between if its going to be more casual vs competitive has me more satisfied. Infinite is like it wants me to operate 100% performance and gun for it each match.

Halo is a fun party game and the competitive parts came as a bonus. A big bonus, but not the entire package. (Forge, pve, casual, ect)
