Battle Passes and Operations

Each Seasonal Battle Pass is 50 tiers - the first 20 tiers are the free track
If you pay 1000 credits for the 50 tier pass, it's yours to complete whenever you want
The free track will be available until the first Operation is released - for Season 5 that's November 14th

Operations are what used to be events, think of them as Events 2.0
20 tiers of free unlockable rewards, each operation runs for about 4 to 6 weeks
Similar to the Battle Pass, the free rewards end when the operation ends but you can pay 500 credits to keep it and continue earning towards it or 2000 credits to complete it outright

For clarity - Season 5 is longer than 1 month, it has multiple operations as part of its Season
It's just that the free track ends when the first operations starts

that is simply not true. Some players are always thrown into one-sided loss matches, so those win-challenges are almost impossible for them. Lower skilled people are consistantly being thrown into matches with way higher skilled players, so it's almost impossible for them to get kill streaks, etc.

And then you have highly specific power weapon kills wich are extremely annoying, because the chance of getting in a map with that specific weapon is very small

Close steam first tho

"power weapon kills" is not "highly specific"...using power weapons to get kills should be a focus on every single map, every single game type you play on other than SWAT.

Also, you're telling a 40 year old dad who hasn't played a halo game other than CE PC 20 years ago; who finished this weekly set in 6 games / about 80 minutes that people 'can't get it done' in a week. It's just not true sorry. The challenges are so easy you can sleep through them.

I think I ran into a bug. On the Mk V[B], When I was trying to equip a couple of new items I earned from the new BP, when I tried to equip them, I keep getting 'Profile Sync Error. An error occured when writing to your Xbox Live profile. Please check you connection'. I tried rebooting my xbox, turning it off completely, and even closed out the app and restarted the game. Did anyone else experience this?

i think you're misreading. I said specific power weapons, so that it demands that power weapon kill has to be with a skewer for instance. But than match after match you don't get a match with a skewer, so you can't get progress for that one. If only the challenges was just to get a kill with any power weapon, that would have been much much better

And your age doesn't say anything about your skill. I have a friend who isn't very skilled for instance. She always has to change the killing spree challenges, because she can't get killing sprees. You do know lower skilled players exist right? You do know that they almost always are matches with and against (much) higher skilled players?

It's going to be like the Halo 5 pistol. Hitting the 5th shot to the head is the key to winning/turning the battle. And similarly - using your strafe to make sure they miss theirs. It was much harder to dodge the whole BR burst.

My accuracy is good so far. 65% or so. But my shot counting and hitting the perfect is bad. 😦

If you missed the seasons, the only way to get the rewards is to purchase the battle pass. However, when you go through the tiers, you can earn credits and you might have enough to purchase another pass and complete it.

the items you have unlocked are permanently unlocked. What they mean with the BP permanent is that you can always select it to progress further at a later date. The free pass is only available for a certain time, after that you can't progress in it anymore.

Honestly, the sad part about seeing how far Infinite is coming along is seeing nobody I know actually get on to try out the new stuff.

I think Infinite is going to need a proper campaign expansion to release alongside an upcoming season if it actually wants to peak the interest of players that have otherwise moved on.

Halo has always lived or died by the "Came for the campaign, stayed for the multiplayer" mantra. And without new campaign content for players to "Come back" for, the multiplayer will never have a true second chance to get them to stay.

Btb heavies and husky raid are the best for that

I’ll rehash what I said yesterday:

Btb is the most efficient way to farm xp; there’s more enemies to kill and you can use the vehicles to your advantage. Also btb has that bonus xp after every match that gets better the higher your score is. Downsides are that you’re contesting with other players to maintain control over the stronger vehicles and having a team that doesn’t know what planet they’re on.

Husky Raid is the fastest way, queue is quick and games aren’t as long. Easy and recommended to spawn kill enemies with hammer/sword + rockets so you can rack up more xp. Downside is the same strategy being used against you.

With btb you can get a good score (3k - 7k) if you do really well either from just being good or maintaining control over the scorpion/wasp

In husky raid play for kills, not for wins. If a teammate actually starts pulling enemy flags, make sure to assist them; 300 for you making a cap and 100 for an assist if you help them cap. Also to maximise your score (2k - 10k) make sure to spawn kill the enemy team with rockets and hammer (rushdown hammer is the best tool for this) along with thrusters if possible

Unless it gets changed to have a better payout do not use custom games, the xp you get is minuscule and a waste of your time

Maybe just half EMP which the duration of immobilization is lesser than the shock weapons, and those drivers still have the ability to fire their weapon when immobilized.

What if you could choose a second previously shelved award as a second weekly ultimate award goal after you earn the designated award that week?

You complete 10 weekly challenges, the weekly ultimate challenge, then get the weekly ultimate award.

But then afterwards, it would be nice if you could browse and choose a second previously shelved ultimate award as a second goal for that week.

So after you get the ultimate award of the week, you browse and choose a "legacy" award, and then you are prompted with 10 more challenges, and another weekly ultimate award challenge.

Dang Yea no I have missed out on well every reward since end season 3. Beginning of Season 4. Even right now I'm barely playing but only because I'm also playing Starfeild. Mainly just trying to level up my guy, especially since I found an Xp farm that also drops Luxery textiles

There is not currently a sufficient penalty for leavers. Leavers leave games because they do not want to play against players who are better than them. There are lots of bad players because this is a gamepass game.

If you're playing Ranked and in Diamond, you should be banned increasing amounts of time - several quitters today. One, the same person twice.

Some aren't even waiting beyond the first fight off spawn to quit.
