From what I've heard besthesda has been working very closely with AMD hence why the benchmarks are all wonky right now. The 7900xtx is consistently beating the 4090 or matching it in this game despite the fact that the 7900xtx is more on par with a 4080

The reason why it had this preference was becase the game company worked closely with the manufacturer of this graphics card. However due to this graphics cards that are objectively more powerful in every other game are behind this one due to the heavy favoritism

Use it for close range, don’t bother when they’re far away. It rips through unshielded, so if you want to try lowering their shields then melting them with it, that usually works

on the other hand i guess their connection is already pretty slow.
Anyway! Power melee weapons are still in dire need of rectifying on a very basic level. The energy sword is slightly better than a standard melee, which is roughly where you would want a non-power equippable melee weapon to be.
unless the point of it all is to just work in coordination with the other things negatively impacting melee gameplay in infinite, which I doubt.
that said, there is some kind of odd melee 'shield' in effect, at least when you have the sword. test it out on ninja slayer- the fusion coils are much less likely to kill sword wielders.

Is it just me or is the Covenant in Halo 2 significantly more braindead than in Halo CE?
In CE, elites tend to strafe in and out of cover, trying to bait shots, force me to get in close. They dodge overcharged plasma pistol shots and are just extremely tactical
In Halo 2, these same elites just sit there, get stunned and die. They do not seek cover nearly as often and get rinsed because they’re stupid enough to stay there firing in the same location over and over again instead of seeking cover

For an example I was playing the second mission of CE on legendary once and I was trying to snipe this one on an adjacent structure and when I was taking cover to reload he went out of his way to to run all the way over to where I was to attack me

The elites will also fall back some and get to cover if you stripped their shields but didn’t kill em.
Sword wielders will also try and bait you into attacking first too alot

I am playing all the Bungie Halos on Legendary. I already completed Halo 2, as it was the first one I did, but now I am doing it again
However, I did CE on Legendary and found that in CE, they were tactical, intelligent and coordinated. They truly were your equals and so they had the tactics to prove it
In H2, I was stunned that the elites typically just sit there in the same spot, don’t seek cover nearly as often, don’t try to sike you out… honestly it didn’t seem like they were anywhere near as threatening as they were in CE, and this includes the fact that your new armor shields are “extremely resilient”
