While space would be a factor for some platforms, as selective install isn't available for all platforms, that's not even the biggest issue. Hardware requirements probably would be. You'd probably have to increase the base hardware requirements, as H5 was designed for machines with more RAM, GCU and CPU power than the 360 - probably also need to drop Windows 7 support. Either that or have 2 separate requirements lists and potentially find a way to prevent Halo 5 from being available/installable on Windows 7 (looking at H5 Forge and it requiring Windows 10)

With Steam you can selectively install games and on Xbox you can install a small amount and then boot from "ready to start" and uncheck stuff

It does make sense. Each game that supports Forge in MCC, has Forge available. It would be silly for people to have to download and install Forge via the Windows Store if they were playing on Steam. You'd also have to make sure items built in H5Forge were compatible with MCC Steam.

Halo 5 Guardians still has Forge, it just isn't Halo 5 Forge. I thought the issue here was beinging Halo 5 Forge over, not Halo 5 Guardians' Forge.

Very linear compared to the prior three games, brought back a lot of H2's bad habits like gondola rides and lacklustre setpieces (Lich is basically a repeat of the H2 Scarab)
Then there's the overabundance of button pressing for objectives, the scripted first-person sequences that are a chore on replays, the lack of ammo given to your starting guns.

Then there's how folk feel about the whole Forerunnner plot, how the Didact is used as an antagonist, how he's dispatched, the Librarian cutscene info-dump, Chief being more outspoken, Cortana's portrayal and subsequent death, etc.

The siege levels in 3 were a ton of fun: enlarging the TD scale by an order of magnitude.

Infinite's potential to have the greatest PvE system of all time, greater than Halo 5's Warzone Firefight, is immense and I'm so hopeful that it comes to fruition

Halo Infinite's equipment sandbox is pretty great (though I'm still figuring out the Quantum Translocater) and can you imagine grappling hooks in firefight? Actual boss waves? Imagine if Forge firefight could allow one to recreate the REQ system? It'd be crazy

It's taken forever to add stuff previous games had on release, the performance isn't quite up there, and one could argue campaign content had/should've had a higher priority, and they already said the team working on campaign content was dissolved and that they weren't going to do anything with that. It wouldn't make sense financially either, as it'd require a huge investment both time and $$$-wise, all for... what? People aren't gonna pay for firefight, the only way they can get money out of it would be more MTX/Store stuff. With the minuscule population H:I still has, they wouldn't even cover their own expenses even if they bloated the store even more

I put many many hours into Halo 5 and it was my favorite MP experience of the franchise. The movement just clicked with me, the scale of Warzone felt roomy enough for both gunfights and map control to contribute meaningfully, and the Req system was so fun in-match to look forward to the next level.

I don't think cross-platform campaign will ever be a thing on MCC (except between MS Store and Steam) due to the campaign netcode being god awful

Granted, if some hero somehow cracks MCC's coding open and manages to fix the campaign netcode to have further reduced input lag over network, I'd probably personally finance their child's education

Question for pc gamers.. they said the nvidia update 536.40 is the recommended one on halo waypoint,. But I was getting frame drops so I had to update it 2 weeks ago to 536.67.. but now my graphics card is being overused .. today they released 536.99.. should I update or roll back to the recommended one from waypoint? 😰

The game is going to render a lot faster in some areas then others. Dropping frames during action is normal in any game. You can avoid it by limiting frames or using DRS. If your lows are too low, use DRS. If your lows are fine, limit your frames

Or if you’re hitting a cpu bottleneck you need to limit your frames, no way around that

Cap FPS to whatever minimum you can sustain in long periods, this should help to maximise your 1% and 0.1% lows... ergo, reduce stutter
