i mean the S3 trailer only got 300k views on the actual channel while the xbox showcase got 2.8 ignoring live viewers. a trailer on the official Halo channel doesnt get that much attention especially compared to other live service games. shoot Apex Legends latest new season trailer got 2.8 mil on the official yt and thats ignoring all the views from other channels reposting. Infinite isnt that popular atm to where a random trailer on the Halo channel or even the xbox channel can get as much attention from tons of different people especially newbies

maybe im spoiled by Rainbow six siege, but saying that seeing a bit of a new map, 2 new equipment, 1 that was leaked months prior and 1 thats basically a rework, and seeing some new forge features and tons of skins isnt much to get hyped about. R6 at least shows off a new map/maps, new character, new guns, new modes, QoL, new features, new gadgets/equipment, skins, battlepass, they talk about the roadmap and more. and then even before the show it off, they drop a few cg/lore trailers, then they have a 2 week test server prior to the new seasons release, they drop teasers coming up to the reveal event. that HCS reveal was like a teaser in comparison

Bungie's approach with the series was quite immature on their part. They cared about what THEY created and followed on it, but they hated Microsoft allowing the franchise to expand beyond Bungie's games. They ignored the books because they probably never liked them, and they never approved of Halo Wars' production, resulting in them not giving Ensemble details about the future of the franchise. Not letting them use the Masther Chief and so on. The result? Halo Wars 1 feels almost non canon to the story
