no, that's usually a latency issue and how the game processes it. this was more of how they played overall and it looked like they were following enemies through walls. unfortunately, it's harder to tell in mcc with only 3rd person pov.

Just beat two betrayals, the most nauseating, anxiety inducing, hard level of any vidiogame I have played, it was fine until I had to fly a banshe in the tunnels below, died more times doing that than the whole game combined, than final run has a 25 ish min fight with no save, beat it on fourth try, on 2 health, took 30 min, than almost died before save to the sentinels at the door. Was shaking all over. Ik someone will say skill issue, and I am sure it is, but this is my second fps ever so I am not good lol. Idk i am split if it's difficulty makes it one of the best, or worst levels.

I'm talking about compared to campaign. In mp, the ar does have advantages over the pistol like a naturally faster melee and a little longer range which is even faster if you do the nade glitch. you can also do a quick camo with it by briefly shooting the ar once you grab camo. up close you're not always going to get a 3 shot kill with the pistol so the ar will kill you first. Lastly in general, the ar has bloom so tap fire it instead of holding the trigger down.

This is why I think CE has the biggest skill gap in all the mp games. There's so much stuff that can be learned which an average player wouldn't even know about.

I think there will be another Halo game within the next ten years. Here are my predictions:

The only definition I care about is from the Yooka-Laylee remake coming out: "Remastered, remixed, revisited, re-whatever we're calling it this week!" I hate it when people get weird about the definition since 9 times out of 10, whatever arbitrary definition they've got is never one-to-one with the actual flow of development. Sometimes it's made from scratch, sometimes it's a port, sometimes it refers to legacy code with a new coat of paint over it and tweaks elsewhere, Halo's a great example of a weird one since the Master Chief Collection features the classic engine with a new engine running underneath it with a new engine to host the menu while the multiplayer uses a new engine that's an iteration of an old engine. Whatever Halo 2: Anniversary is, it's so widespread that it can't really be neatly put into a box.

Nintendo gets it. They just say "it's the game but on the modern thing now" and under the hood it's a gamble as to what it is and they just don't care. Sometimes it's ported over, sometimes it's emulated, sometimes it's a freaky middle ground, sometimes they make it from scratch, sometimes they do the bare minimum.

On one hand seeing CE being remade with new textures and graphics is definitely intriguing since CEA felt a lot like an asset flip to me.

But on the other, I feel like I can't trust Halo Studios to not butcher the original CE's intended art direction given their track record.

My favorite part about halo infinite is how it characterizes chief with his relationship with the pilot, I have my gripes with infinite, after playing h1 i acctualy prefer h1 but it was my first exposure to halo and it made me connect with chief.

I'd argue it does, I think Combat Evolved Anniversary is worse, but Halo 2 Anniversary is more cinematic while maintaining a good take on the original's vision. It's more bright and less desaturated than the original, but the dark spooky areas are still dark and spooky. There's just a lot of contrast. When you play Halo 2, there's no wrong way to go if it's Anniversary or the Classic... But Anniversary is great for seeing how expressive the characters are in cutscenes. Especially Arbiter.

It does, turns everything from the OG up by 11. The OST? Stellar Rock and Roll peak. The graphics, beautiful and amazing. The guns and sounds, absolutely pleasant to the ears.

The only thing you gotta risk for is speedrunning or running out of geometry fields so you’ll have to turn to original graphics for that.

I’d say both CEA and 2A are stellar and peak graphical upgrades for a beautiful game 👌

See, I have no issue with there being an animation of Chief putting Cortana into the terminals, I just take issue with how they went back to using a chip. Heck, even in Halo 3, to put Cortana in and out of his head, he had to take the chip out of the back of the helmet for some reason despite the fact in Halo 2 he can just hold his hand over a terminal and transfer Cortana into his armour systems

I recently went back to play Halo 4 again

And I've decided to update my tier list for the series

Halo 4 is the worst of all the mainline games, hands down.

I cant even say Halo 4's gameplay was good.

It dropped everything that came previously for the sake of trend chasing and it didnt even copy those trends well.

The graphics being a complete eyesore didnt help either.

The gameplay in Halo 4 is quite literally an evolved version of Reach's gameplay

Like the biggest differences is that you have sprint at all times, they expanded the loadout system for multiplayer and precision weapons actually shoot straight

Ironically enough, the head shape of the H4/5 Elites is closer to the classic Halo 2 head shape. Just most people don't realise that

its subjective but i do think Reach and Infinite are a lot closer to the Halo formula then 4 and 5

and 5 stands on its own as an original experience much better then 4 because of just how much inspiration 4 takes from COD

and put it this way, 4 is as much an "evolved Reach" as Reach is an "evolved 3"

its how the games are evolved that differs

In particular I think calling the loadout system "expanded" is not really doing it justice

Reach has starting equipment. 4 lets you customize your weapons and add perks as well

suddenly every player can EMP vehicles off spawn and has multiple unique traits you have to consider

I don't necessarily agree, but it does tie in your comment about Halo 4 evolving on Reach. Reach tried to make their Elites look like scary monsters, so Halo 4 tried to make them look even more bestial (be it for better or worse).

I don't think I necessarily agree. 4 took what Reach did and made it more drastic. "Drastic" not necessarily meaning "better". The loadouts, sprint, the difficulty in campaign design, the enemies (sans the Prometheans), many of these are truly "expanded" even if they don't improve the experience.

If we're going back to a Halo 3 comparison, it'd be like if they made the next game have tri-wielding. It's more, it uses Halo 3 as a base, but it's not necessarily better.

Preference between them is subjective

I just think there’s as great of a leap going from reach to 4 as there is from 3 to reach

I never really get the whole “4 is just expanded reach” logic to somehow attribute controversial design choices to the game that came before it

Does anyone feel like we should get a new enemy faction in halo at this point? Cuz to me it feels like weve been getting too many copies of the covenant with a few changes here and there but nothing substantial. We had the promethians which was at least a change from that, the flood, the covenant (too many times) and then the banished which is basically a brute based covenant. I dont know just my thoughts but I think we should get a 5th one.

That it's still getting patches and security fixes after 10 years is incredible. There was also a patch just before the holidays. Not every update is going to drop with a lot of content and fixes, the the team they'll have working on MCC now will be fairly small

It was 1GB for my XSX and I believe it was a smaller size on Steam.

The ones saying they were more dangerous than the Flood are the Forerunners, who have always been biased in their view on other species against them. The danger the Endless posed was less one in the literal sense like with the Flood, which had the potential to wipe out life in the galaxy, but more a danger to the plans the Forerunners had for humanity post Halo's firing. The Endless surviving Halo would give them a significant advantage over all other species in the galaxy

I already explained that sometimes, level progress saves may become invalid due to updates, this is something the devs have made clear in the blog post I shared earlier

It is not developer incompetence, it's just something that can happen with MCC. Would you prefer they not let us know this is a thing that could happen?
