Definitely want to keep the sniper. You will find ammo, but you also want to try to conserve as much as possible as it will make the later part of the level easier

I like to recommend the plasma pistol as it is pretty damn good in ce, not just for shields

I really hate that some of the armour pieces for cores such as Hazmat cover up your emblem at least partially. They either need reposition the emblem on that armour or better yet have an option as to where on the armour to put it choosing between 3-4 different places to put it.

I mean i've spoken with people from 343 when it came to forge bugs.. hmm maybe i'll consider the issues in collab as a bug cause yeah. some of the issues is when someone unadds you as a friend you can't remove them as collaberator. so they can abuse the map however they see fit and you can't do anything

Was basically the biggest franchise in the world and we loved every second of it.

With ODST people got a little angry about the price. And Reach had some substantial complaints but overall 2009-2011 were pretty solid years. The CE Remaster was very disappointing. Bad remaster and even the original graphics weren’t actually the original graphics but a downgrade (because they used the PC port, not the OG Xbox - this is how MCC was for years too until they mostly fixed it). And then Halo 4, MCC, Halo 5, Infinite and the TV show have all had serious controversies and left masses dissatisfied for varying reasons.

Yeah the original Halo CE:A (and the MCC for several years) use the the Netgear port for the original graphics. Many graphical downgrades.

MCC fixed most of the issues a couple years ago though

So it resembles the original Xbox version now.

Some examples off the top of my head is that textures in the game couldn’t be properly seen unless you shined a flashlight on it iirc. Jackal shields were all green instead of the proper blue or yellow (so it actually effected gameplay cuz couldn’t distinguish rank) and they didn’t change colors to red when shot with plasma. Basically anything to do with energy and plasma looked bad and inaccurate. Some weather/environmental effects didn’t work properly.

Yeah mod support is going to be in the EAC Disabled version of the game. Open the game properties by right clicking in your library and there should be an “ask when launching the game” option you can use while you’re wanting to switch between both.

so what i might do is redo the ones not completed, on easy, and then see if it triggeres waypoint

Had the same issues with legendary achievements not popping for both H2A and ODST. It's probably some issue with the communication with the XBL servers that glitched them and they didn't unlock even after finishing both games on Solo Legendary

I maded them unlock following this method (obviously, try this out ONLY if you have completed all Levels on the highest difficulty but the game didn't award you the Game and level completion achievements)

    Visit the Halo Waypoint website, in the MCC collection page that also has your service record

    Check in both games what levels the page says you haven't completed or you have them completed in lower difficulty. In my case, it was Gravemind and Outskirts in H2 and Kizingo Blvd and ONI Alpha site on ODST which showed that I haven't even completed them even thought all the rest levels were ok and fully completed on Legendary

    Go to your Xbox, chose your level that according to the site isn't completed, don't put any skulls or scoring, put them on EASY and launch it

    Coast through the level and finish them.

    Afterwards, go to the Level Select menu and chose the level. Wait for the Leader boards underneath to load your info from the XBL servers. Don't start the game, obviously, wait it out

    99% the achievements will pop up as soon as loading of the leaderboards end. This is how I managed to unlocked the Legendary + level completion achievements on both games, just today. Check my GT to see them``` what helped me in case anyone discord searches this in the future

  1. Do backend updates only happen on Tuesdays, or can they happen on any day?

  2. Do bugfixes always get announcements, or do some just get fixed “quietly”?

  3. For people that have submitted bug reports before and were told “we’ll contact you once we have an update for this”, were you actually contacted or did you only learn the bug was fixed when you loaded up the game?

Tuesday, for Microsoft, is historically a patch/update day. More often than not updates will drop on Tuesdays, but can happen on other days like a Wednesday or Thursday. Fri-Mon is super rare, almost non-existent. Friday deployments are not fun 😅

Most bug fixes will get announced somewhere - if it's a post-patch bug, usually Halo Support on Twitter, otherwise it will be in the patch notes for the update

Just to clarify, when I asked if bugfixes always get announced or if they can be implemented “quietly” I was talking about tweets like “we’re aware of X problem and we’re working on a solution”, not if they’ll appear in a patch note somewhere after the fix goes live. I guess another way of asking is if a bug hasn’t been mentioned in a Support tweet, does that the devs currently aren’t working on it?

Not all bug fixes will be announced, generally only noticeable ones that either impact gameplay or purchasing.
Not being mentioned on the support channels doesn't mean they aren't working on it though, bugs get tracked through submitted support tickets, from there they are likely transferred to internal tracking software like JIRA/DevOps and assigned/prioritized

They just do. Had the same thing happen with a jackal that spawned in a crate. Managed to get lucky and melee their hand to death. Best we can do is report the issue to support.
