I see u mentioned asphalt 9 and im guessing u didnt update your game to asphalt legends unite, so basically before the swap of asphalt 9 to asphalt unite, gameloft told everyone to create a gameloft id account so u could transfer your asphalt 9 progress to asphalt unite. There were many cases in that people lost their account due to the transfer but i think gameloft solved that problem, even prioritizing it. Maybe contact customer care and and they might get your copy the conversation id and go to the discord #🆔・tickets-customer-care and paste it, you might get ur account back but i doubt it because ur saying its asphalt 9 but still try

The sponsorship always runs out of time at midnight instead of when the daily goals reset.
So, in my time zone, the sponsorship runs out in 5-6 hours instead of 24 hours.
I have 2 accounts & play both EVERY DAY but I don't always have the time to log in between 6pm & 12am.
Last night, I logged in at 12:09am & the sponsorship was out of time on both of my accounts.
This has been happening since the sponsorship was introduced & this happens across ALL platforms.
I've personally had it happen on Windows/Steam & now Android.
This problem has been addressed multiple times by dozens & dozens of players & it still has not been fixed.

This is true. Basically the "new" graphical options aren't all that useful, since if your phone didn't allow one of these features to be enabled automatically before the update, they still won't work regardless of whether it's enabled or not.

What they need to do is force the graphics settings to work on all devices, and not have the game automatically decide if an option can be enabled or not, since the point of having specific graphics options is to have the freedom to decide if the graphics options will be disabled or at the quality we want.

you can probably use some 3rd party program to adjust the settings however you like, however 1) that might be against the terms of service and might end up getting you banned, and 2) there's a reason why they don't let you set those settings manually. chances are, if you max them all out, you'll be running at like 10 fps with your phone being hot enough to melt your hands off (figuratively speaking)

Mmmh, that's relative. It's known that graphics automatically adjust to offer the best possible performance depending on the device, however, the new graphics options have to work on all of them, since you're supposed to decide whether to have them activated or not.

Also, things like Bloom, Depth of Field, and God Rays have no impact on performance. Not to mention that on pretty much any phone, both mid-range and low-end, the game still doesn't run at full resolution, which also has no impact on performance.

Don't worry, I had the same experience. I used to have the car lights reflected on the ground (they were clearly visible on the garage floor), but now they are not visible at all in the garage, regardless of the quality of the graphics. But unlike you, I do have those car lights in races on any track. They just don't work in the garage. They used to work though.

I agree with you. These are the changes I noticed: Now on my Galaxy A55 I have Motion Blur, but it is not optional however, the game is now lower resolution than before (thanks Gameloft), the cars actually I think have better quality (I notice it more in the reflections) (although it's not like I saw them bad before), the shadows still suck, San Francisco is a great example of that with the horrible ultra low quality pixelated baked shadows.

But when u start playing it looks too blurred like as if there's mashed potatoes on my device.
It's almost impossible now for me to see what's ahead after a certain distance, coz I can barely see what's nearby.

The changes were actually made to help the Car display and look better. The old reflections and sharp colors would interfere too much with the car's visuals and colors, so we toned it down a bit. We're always open to feedback however, so I'll make sure to share your feedback with the team.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage. The game runs at a constant 60 FPS but with slight stuttering from time to time during races. The game does not run at native resolution, and in this update I feel like it now has less resolution than before. With this update I now have Motion Blur on my device, which did not affect performance at all, and I like having it, however this is not even optional. On the other hand, the baked shadows are still ridiculously low quality and look horrible. By this I mean that this update did not really bring many good things. On other devices there is flickering in many textures and reflections, and the cube map reflections on the roads look broken, this from before the update.

@unique elk The most necessary things for the game to look and run decently are to improve these things:

-Resolution Scale (It is very necessary at least one graphical option for this, since on any device that is not high-end the resolution will be much lower than the native resolution of the phone, and this does not even have an impact on performance),
-Higher quality of baked shadows (As I said before, the quality of these is ridiculously low, and makes the game look very bad),
-Motion Blur (simply adding a graphical option for this, which does not even have an impact on performance)
-Anti Aliasing (another graphical option for this, which greatly improves the visual quality and also has hardly any impact on performance).

There would be other things left like reflections and dynamic shadows, which I would also like to see as graphical options for all devices, but I don't know how much impact this has on performance.

antialiasing is basically technique for smoothing jagged edges of curved objects... there are different antialiasing tech, some are causing more blur than the other, there are always trade offs between performance and visuals in case of different AA

Alu and a9 uses TAA which is a technique that anti aliases everything on the screen accurately without performance cost,it has a bit of a ghosting problem if your framerates are not that high but considering the performance and the quality its a fair tradeoff,and for the slight blurrines of the image (which is actually how your phone camera would take photos if it didn't apply some sharpening) we have stuff like fsr,but alu doesn't have fsr for some reason

These options are actually a bit of a rip-off. They are supposed to be specific graphics options, so it's up to you to have them enabled or not, and at whatever quality you want. However, if the game didn't allow you to have one of these graphics options before, they still won't work regardless of how they're set.

The problem is that the game still automatically decides which graphical options you can have and which ones you can't. For example, shadows won't work on any mid-range or low-end device.

we can afford all the graphics options on pc ( or the google play pc emulator for that matter) because they have a lot more memory and cpu power
these graphics settings usually involve compiling shaders which can take seconds on PC but minutes on mobile

In any case, someone from the Asphalt team has already told us that the next update will probably include an option for Motion Blur, Resolution Scale, among others, in addition to other improvements.

Hey guys, I'm here to correct something I've said a few times and just checked. Well, it turns out that in this update the independent graphical options, such as bloom, volumetric lighting and depth of field, now work on all devices if they are activated. It no longer depends on whether Asphalt automatically decided whether you could have it or not. That is, it no longer matters what device you have, the graphical options now work on all devices if they are activated.

*I checked this on 2 low-end devices, which in the previous update none of the 3 worked even when they were activated.

I still don't know what the shadow resolution option is for though. I literally don't see a single change in the entire game. Unless this is for dynamic shadows, which don't exist in mid-range and low-end.

I just found out what the shadow resolution option is for. It's for baked shadows. However, it makes no sense to have 5 qualities from Low to Ultra, because Ultra is already ridiculously low resolution and has terrible quality. Not to mention all the parts where the shadows are also broken, mainly in San Francisco, like the tunnel for example, or the bridge part.

It's impossible to tell that these are Ultra quality shadows. They are so low and poor resolution that they shouldn't even be considered Low, as the "Low" quality in the game is even worse. And that's even though "Ultra" quality already looks so bad that sometimes things look like they're burned out.

That's true. There are several tracks with a different tone now. Like Cairo, Rome, Singapore, etc. But I don't like them because they all look like they've had a color "filter" put over them and they don't look natural at all.

The cars are more contrasty now and the underside of the cars have no details in it. That shadow resolution setting does nothing. I have kept it at minimum.

What is upd 42? It's an genuine ongoing issue on mobile devices where u don't have that nitro sounds which you experience on windows. I love the nitro sound which ALU windows has but Android doesn't. I had highlighted to Mutley and team, even Boost and the customer care. Still the same has not been fixed despite highlighting 😞

Guys the shadow resolution option does work, just look at the difference.
The problem is that despite being "Ultra" the resolution is excessively low and shouldn't even be called that. The actual "low" quality of the game is even worse than Ultra, so imagine what that's like.

Yes, I know. I agree with you. As for the graphics options, the only good thing about this update is that they now work on all devices, even the lowest-end ones. It no longer depends on whether the game automatically decided that you couldn't have a graphics option, since this didn't make sense if you had any option enabled, since they didn't work regardless of whether they were enabled.

there're 2 issues at hand here: 1) lower resolution, increased contrast that made certain maps/cars look overly dark with no details visible, increased blurriness (partially due to lower resolution), lack of certain effects. 2) new color "grading" for certain maps like Cairo that introduced very strong yellow/green tint. all of that with the new update that came out few days ago with new season etc
