Close your eyes and pretend Zagreus bow is just ranged Nemesis sword. Then build for that. Everything will make sense then. Also, don’t sleep on explosive shot with zag bow. I won’t spend a page typing it out but fishing isn’t random. It’s a minigame and it has rules and patterns. It functions much like Russian roulette at its core. Hit the button the second the bob drops below the surface for a perfect catch. Eventually you’ll learn to count cards in the game and you’ll never miss a perfect catch

So, Im probably clocking in at 60 hours now, and while alot of that was early acess, I feel like the story kinda slowed down alot for me, I still dont know how to unlock those locked relationship hearts, or how to acess the bottom row in the keepsakes display, or how to unlock the 4th weapon variants.
I frankly havent grabbed almost any of the buyable gem rewards, Am I missing something in there thats not just "cosmetic?"

Also, I did my first farm run and had massive luck with chaos and poseidon, got like 100 gemstones and 1k darkness eventhough I died to theseus and hadn't unlocked a few things at the contractor to get more gems

At under ~50 runs you're not far enough in the game for there to be a meaningful distinction between "farming" and "playing the game". The most conscious farming you should be worrying about when you get there is saving up gold throughout a run for the chance to buy diamonds or blood in styx. Beyond that don't think too hard about farming, you're still very very early in the game
Also always play the dark thirst weapon too. This serves two purposes, upping your farm income and forcing you to be diverse with your weapon choice, which will come in handy for you later in the game

From top to bottom: cthonic vitality/dark regen is an option. Dark regen is apparently flat out better but I played a very large portion of my time in this game ignorant of that fact so I can tell you cthonic vitality treats you just fine
Infernal/Stygian soul is personal choice. Flat out personal choice. All kinda of people use both

Beating bosses gives a lot more like 150 darkness etc
And bounties give you the other stuff like Ambrosia and Titan Blood

The honest answer is a little brutal but here it is: If you are Gud enough to beat the game with those handicaps on you will see an increase to farming rate, but it shouldn't come at the cost of harming yourself too much
Think of it like goku and his training clothes. If you can hack carrying around 100lbs of extra clothes you'll see results. If not no big deal, train at your own rate
For a real world example: you can farm blood and diamonds pretty quick in the early game if you are disciplined about not spending a penny until you get to Styx and buy it there. But on the flip side you're depriving yourself of the strength that all of the shops would bring your run, and if that weight sees you dying too early and never making it there it’s not worth it. So it’s a balance

General words of encouragement : If you can make it to Styx, you can beat what's beyond. All the difficulty you faced before is about as much as what lies ahead of you, just all at once.
So know that if you are consistently making it to styx, you are getting there with a build that can usually get the job done, and the rest will be on you.
Everything after that is time and persistence. If you make Styx, you've got a fighting chance. Never believe you don't.

You'll get a feel for what situation calls for what over time. I can tell you that at a deeper meta level, certain build strategies will definitely "want" one of those things more than the other, but we're still walking up on things like that in here. Just keep playing

@distant notch the chance for his legendary is much lower than for the other gods. Take Gods' Legacy and try to get Favor boons from Master Chaos. Refreshing Nectar and Yarn of Ariadne will also improve your odds.

Nah not really, Tartarus is actually quite tough because your build is still getting started and you’re a lot more vulnerable due to low hp etc, so it’s fine to die there, especially to Meg
Just keep practicing and you’ll get there, don’t rush in too aggressively for dmg just take it slow, learn the moves/timing as best as you can, and yea Minotaur is also a difficult miniboss, the game does become difficult as in the later biomes are tougher than the first two

So basically, before every boss there is an endshop, if you take a Chaos or ||Erebus|| gate in the room before that you’re still forced to see the shop so instead of going straight into the shop there is that gate in between so it adds an extra chamber
And in the very last biome the number of rooms you have go through can vary due to something a little rng reliant, not gonna spoil it since you’re not there yet but yea

Oh yeah Eris has a bit of a learning curve, but ngl Dio dash is not too great because of its low base damage, even at high rarity
One thing to look out for is that Rail bombs will bounce off walls, which changes its direction

Since you only unlock a new set of bounties after defeating the final boss, I'd recommend avoiding anything which makes all enemies have more health or attack, since that will also affect bosses. For me, the easiest are (in order) "tight deadline 1", "jury summons 1", "extreme measures 1", "damage control 1" (this sucks at ||high heat|| and for some weapons but is effectively free for things like Chiron bow or Talos fists and easy early on), "underworld customs" (just remember to get a crappy boon or two you won't mind disposing of), "convenience fee".
Also, while "forced overtime 1" does affect bosses it's pretty easy to get used to and after a while you won't really notice it.
So if you take some combination of those pacts you get on with and get most/all weapons up to ||5 or 6 heat||, you'll have plenty of Titan blood.

Quite. There's a common misconception that you can just farm bounties repeatedly without completing a run.
You can of course farm gems and darkness, but they aren't "bounties".

Take note that a dash is a dash until it becomes a dash-strike, with the line between being the moment the attack button is pressed. Doesn’t usually come into play, but it is possible to abuse in certain situations by delaying your attack input after dashing to take advantage of a few I-frames

bow is the silent third there and arguably top tier as a weapon class in the whole game, but bow itself is a different playstyle for most people. Glad you've caught on to the fact that bow owns though
