I'm guessing it has to do with the end title screen. Essentially, you are pinning the boons and they will be the ones that are displayed in the end of a run
I did not know you could do that before the end game though, so that is certainly interesting

so I just realized a huge mistake I was making. I was taking so many different boons and spreading out the level ups among them, so I would end the game with everything level 2 or 3. I just stuck to leveling one thing and now things are so much easier. I have like a max level cast and it is popping off

well ur right in that initial upgrades will do more, but generally having one solidly upgraded attack, special, or cast, and focusing play around that one thing, will yield pretty good results

hydra is just about constantly dashing and re positioning yourself, don't be afraid to dash underneath his neck if you deal some damage to the far side and want to disengage

Something I've found funny when people talk about the weapons they use it's always yeah I'm using "insert weapon here" it's kinda op or I rely way to much on this feature I cheese with it but the insert weapon always is different depending on the person.
