So I was able to finally get curse of drowning after 3 dang attempts with bad RNG, but it didn't seem that great compared to a normal artemis cast build
It felt similar to Hunting Blades, although while hunting blades is a lot better, they both feel a little boring because you let the cast automatically do the work instead of attacking yourself I guess
I think the problem with most cast builds though is that they suck until you get the duo boon that makes it good, but Artemis cast is the only one that's good even by itself imo

you should try an Artemis cast only build once - it's really fun because you never have to use attack/special except for bosses to dislodge
It can take out even armored enemies at once since at least 1/3 of ur casts will usually crit
You just start with artemis keepsake, then switch to poseidon on asphodel to try the duo, but it works perfectly fine even without the duo boon which is great
other than that the only other cast only build that works well is poseidon cast, but it kinda sucks on bosses. It's good for AOE on chambers but it's OK overall. The rest of the cast-only builds were kinda horrible

Athena is really situational (though Zeus/Athena duo makes it quite decent), Dio is fine but sucks against anything moderately fast like ||dad||, Demeter needs investment to really shine, what else

All good. It happens quite a bit here lol.
Some of the aspects require different builds from the base weapon builds that I listed in the guide, but if you're worried about ||Heat||, those builds are the same core builds that top players use at ||40+ Heat||. Except we also know all the boon trees by heart and might shoot for a specific Duo Boon or Legendary that those core boons would unlock for us. ||The higher you go in Heat||, though, the less you can rely on getting a Duo Boon or Legendary, so those builds are what's been most consistent for us even if we end up not getting anything else. (E.g., I had a WR for a time that had only 4 boons at the end of the run.)
We also have hammer preferences, of course, but they're more up to chance than boons because you can only get 2 hammer upgrades in a run (+ a third from the Anvil, but that's random and more often than not a bad idea).
Even if you got no hammers at all, the builds should give you solid ground to stand on and clear the game with, so you can experiment with anything else you see and discover playstyles and whatnot yourself. I did write some pointers for how to play the weapons effectively, though, that I hope are helpful.

hey all, I have been playing a lot of Hades recently (just got it) and had a question about something. I am a new player but had some really good runs so I am going to spoiler everything regarding my question
||I seem to be way past the stage I should be to unlock the titan blood weapon upgrades at this point (according to my friends). By this point I have unlocked all the weapons and have beaten Hades a couple times and gone to the surface. Should I have weapon upgrades unlocked by now? I am worried I caused some kind of desync by making it to the surface earlier than intended because I made it to Persephone and the characters were discussing plot details which hadnt happened yet (which were then revealed a few runs later). for context, I beat Hades on my third run of the game so it was very early story. Can someone clarify this for me if you dont mind? it has been driving me crazy ever since my friends told me I was past the point where I should have this feature unlocked||

for the yellow things (nectars), you can gift them to get keepsake. although if you already have your keepsakes, they mostly served to advance story line, not gameplay.
as for ambrosia, they are used for late game unlocks.

I just checked a shop item from Poseidon and there’s an epic tempest flourish that would replace my drunken flourish and my foolish ass forgot to check the power of my boons after loading back into the game, so idk if it’s better than what I have rn or not
