for the future, you can see god boons in the codex with an upgrade in the house contractor eventually. and there's some duo boons that synergize with Weak like Low Tolerance with Dionysus or Heart Rend with Artemis but you need to be more or less building around them a bit to make good use of them

there's also Sweet Surrender from Aphrodite herself that boosts damage on Weak foes

A few things that might help:

1. Consider the mirror talents carefully (including the reverse side). As you get further down the mirror, you'll get some options which might be best on the flip side. For starting off, aim for max dashes and as many DDs as you can get. Also get 3 casts, and once "Thick Skin" is unlocked, more starting health.
2. Consider the keepsake you're taking in. If Furies are an issue, an extra DD can be good (from the Skelly's tooth), but you might also consider more starting cash to get something in the shop (Hypnos's keepsake). The dog collar is also good.
   3: Unlock weapons with keys and try them all. Even if a weapon doesn't look great at first, you might find it clicks nicely. I personally like Bow for early runs (keep distance and avoid hits) but some prefer shield since you can block 100% of damage from the front with it.
3. Think about which boons you get are going to go with which others. Tartarus is long, and you should get 3-4 boons by the end of it. Look for boons that work together and don't be fooled into only getting the rarest ones, that's often not the best approach. Take in a specific god's keepsake to force the first boon (which of these is best is quite weapon dependent though).
4. If you want, God Mode is always there (and can be turned on/off at will without penalty).

As for the Hydra specifically, Athena's Divine Dash is a good way to avoid projectile damage and the main Hydra's attacks are very learnable (it always attacks in specific patterns in response to what you do).

my best time is only bout 11:30 there and so many builds are so much harder bc of touch controls, it's a lot more difficult if you don't have a controller and even then, lags occur way more than anyone would be comfortable with (perhaps bad phone on my end idk). you're better off playing it on console or pc, that being said, it's perfect to kill boredom while travelling

Where are you getting stuck/who do you usually die to? A common recommendation i’ve seen for new players (and one that worked for me!) is equipping Athena’s trinket and taking one of her boons first! (Particularly divine dash, one of the best defensive boons imo)

Imo, if it’s Theseus, any one of Athena’s deflects work really well against him. I’d also probably try to go for calls that you can use at a range, like Zeus’, Artemis’, probably others that I forget. I’d also keep in mind your strategy for that fight. Most the time, I dash around Theseus and go for the Minotaur first, since Theseus is much easier to fight when you have more control over the battlefield (i.e. when the minotaur is dead) so I generally try to make sure the Minotaur is down before starting Theseus’ phase II (where he uses god boons against you).

What weapon are you using? I think I was using the spear the first time I beat him

As kbel said, fight the bull first
Ideally behind a pillar so Theseus can't snipe you
Bull is easier to dodge through his attacks than away from them

(Keep in mind your dashes have iframes, but attacking removes them)

For dealing with bull charge wait at a pillar and dash through asterius at last second, walls or Theseus himself also work

(or if you wanna be fancy, activating a call also gives iframes)

Take Zeus on something and look for static discharge

The other way is stand next to him so he is forced to use the spin attack, dash through it and start hitting him

This leaves you at the distance for Theseus to repeat the spin

Repeat until phase change

If you have any call saved up you can use it here to rush through his 2nd phase

Dashing back and forth through him also lets you hit him during his attack (he doesn't hold the shield for the entire duration)

If you really hate a certain god helping him you can take their boons so he can't choose them

Codex upgrade helps you to know what do you need to take to unlock X boon
