I’ve definitely figured out the best build for me to go for

Start: Heartbreak Strike
Look for: Electric Shot, Aphrodite’s Aid (the one place where it’s actually good), Smoldering Air, Hunter Dash/Deadly Flourish, Lightning Rod (helps a lot with Styx rats, arguably the hardest part of the run)

Put as many Poms on aphro aid as possible

That's not something that should happen. Look for fixes in #h1-tech-fixes, and if that doesn't work or you need help with it, ask for help in #h1-tech-support.

Like I said then, ask for help in #h1-tech-support if you're still having problems.

It's most likely not a bug within the game but something else like your antivirus or whatever, and they'll be able to help you with that. And if it turns out it's a bug, they generally patch those if they can find it. But for that they'd need to be aware of it in the first place, so if you don't ask for help with it, they can't help.

But champs and beyond is tough, especially because I can’t practice for it much (which I’m realizing is a solvable problem)

I just can’t play as well in a run when I’ve already gotten hit once

I’ve lost 4 times to champions (out of 6 attempts that got to them) and lost the other two in Styx tunnels (one to tiny rats and one to a bad snakestone room)

Hitless champs is just very hard. Mainly Theseus

Hitless runs are fun though. Definitely a lot less discouraging than 50 heat

When I lose I know exactly what I did wrong and I can focus on not repeating the problem

It’s harder to do that at 50 heat when the game is so fast-paced and there’s so much potential for getting RNG-screwed (which is still skill issue but also some rooms are just so absurdly tough that I can’t really blame myself when I die)

Unlike someone such as Poseidon who, at best, has 1 good non-knockback boon that’s really only useful for speed clearing (hydraulic might) and one that people use for darkness farming (ocean’s bounty)

Since when is sunken treasure, icy flare, freezing vortex, and hunters instinct bad but tidal dash good? Poseidon is literally the worst God in game. His only benefit is boons that allows to gain more darkness, gold and etc.

Were they ranked based on effectiveness or how fun they are to use? If you had only Stubborn Roots and literally no other boons you could still complete just about any run with relatively little difficulty. If this is a ranking for effectiveness, then it needs to be way higher.
