Mirage Shot is kind of whatever. Great if you happen to luck into it, but you're not looking for it over Snow Burst.

It's not broken like it is on Beowulf where you get 100% damage.

For each boss other than Hades, I found there was more than one theme, which seemed to be remixed versions of themes you could hear while in encounters in the region

You can probably get even crazier if you optimize it

Then there's the fact that the hitbox of the move is so large

That said, it's important to note about the game Hades: it's retelling. It takes a story and changes it significantly (we don't even know much about the original Zagreus, which is why the devs chose him to be the mc of the game). As far as retellings go, especially modern retellings, this has been an ongoing trend. And that's the whole point: they're retellings. And that's what makes them so fascinating imo
