With Aegis, no matter which aspect you play, you have to understand that your attack speed is not as ridiculously good as it is with other weapons.

However, once you understand that you can block while charging and while rushing, you're set. Just make sure not to get shot from multiple angles, and you're invincible.

Yeah, I'm aware, but it gives me more granular control to press both at the same time. If I'm holding the attack button indefinitely it's kind of hard for me to transition to say, doing an empty dash for iframes.

Just keep playing, you'll get more comfy with it. I think hitting comfy TD2 should be a reasonable goal for anyone, it's just a mechanics check, and you have plenty of time even then to do the things you mentioned

Kind of a funny happy coincidence that we really arbitrarily decided 50 is the cool kid number for very high heat, and you need Hell Mode to be able to do EM3 JS3 CP2 RI2 AP1 TD2, which is probably the most... consistent (?) pact? It's not the easiest, but it's the one that has the least likely chance of screwing you to RNG
