I do the same, always using darker thirst weapons. Now it's spread out almost evenly (between 7-10 times for each weapon), but there was a point where I felt the sword was rarely dark thirsted.

Hades is a great game, but I still think there is room for improvement. My hope is that the immense sales and popularity will encourage Super Giant to expand and re-release the game/DLC. Hephestus as an extra god for Fire Element, re-balanced aspects, and a seventh weapon of some kind. Like a hammer or axe.

I actually like that approach a lot. You could spend years making smaller changes and adding content but that only applies to people who still play. If you make a whole new experience and include the features you would have added, you get an entirely new audience and keep a lot of the old vets who now just play the new game

That's another problem. In roguelikes like this, bloat becomes a huge issue. It's already difficult to get the exact build you want even if you sacrifice everything you can to make it happen. They specifically aimed in this game for you to mostly be able to choose the direction you wanted to go without relying entirely on chance. You can see that with the reroll system they added.

I don't really agree with that. People make it difficult by using the wrong mirror perks. I like the one that reduces chance of getting Darkness and lets me re-roll rooms. A lot of the videos I've listened to say the opposite is better. I hard disagree on that, it leaves too much up to chance.

Dark foresight is the best mirror perk in the game pretty much

Yeah, even if you spend time to max it out through Elysium getting >30% it's still not better than some Chaos boons or extra benefits from bone hourglass. If you kept the bonuses after it was swapped out it would be a good choice for Tartarus and then swap it out by Asphodel.

hey -- Hephaistos author here, happy to elaborate if you'd like. In a nutshell, the game – or more specifically, the GUI – is designed for a 16:9 aspect ratio – or more specifically, the 1920x1080 virtual viewport. Hephaistos only works because of a lot of manual intervention all around 🙂

I understand, though to give the other side of the perspective having official support for 21:9 would be more involved than what I did, because it would require additional artwork. I simply centered stuff (opportunistically scaling things when possible, e.g. overlays), but while this works sufficiently well for an unofficial mod, having this capability in the original game would require a lot more changes. I basically can get away with "cheating" in areas where SGG couldn't ^^

Dusa gave me the ambrosia back like 17 attempts ago, and has all 10 hearts
It’s been about 22 runs since Hypnos has continued his dialogue with me, I’ve seen about 4, 5, maybe 6 scenes between him and Than but his heart affinity is still locked and I can’t give him Ambrosia
And then Aphrodite, because I can’t finish Dusa’s arc
Nyx isn’t offering anything on the dusa side story, meg, Achilles, and a couple others have commented on how they are happy I got her to stay. I don’t know what I’m missing

for dusa you just have to wait until she shows up in your bedroom, for hypnos you have to keep talking to him and to thanatos. apparently its quite a few conversations and then you also have to talk to thanatos alone

for meg i think you need to beat her in a run (it might be beating the furies in general, im not sure) and for than, you just need to encounter him. if both happen in a run, they have a chance of being in the house
than appearing in a run is simply rng. theres no way to make him more likely to appear

Thanatos has barely been around, so I can’t advance Dusa’s or Hypnos’ stories, and Aphrodite won’t activate until I get Dusa’s
I’m trying to grind for titan’s blood, so at least they aren’t the only thing keeping me, I need more blood, diamonds, darkness, and ambrosia. It would suck if my only reason for playing was to complete these stickers and rely solely on RNG. At least I have other motivators to go do more runs. It kinda sucks I’m not seeing much new dialogue though

I HAVE THE POSEIDON+APHRODITE AND POSEIDON + DIONYSUS DUO BOONS RIGHT NOW, AND HAVENT GOT TO MEG YET! I also got a hammer that upgrades my dash strikes, with tidal dash + lightning strike
Hermes also gave me +20% dodge chance boon, and hopefully I can get a boon for rupture, jolted, and the Poseidon+Zeus duo boon for that amazing dash strike combo.
It’s the Beowulf aspect, with trippy shot and Aphrodite special. And Chaos gave me a Shot boon as well

hey anyone know how to do the second phase of the final boss of hades
I barely got through the first one and the second one kicked my ass
I had to use all three of my death defiance for the first one and then the second one took 20 seconds to deal with me

||It's the same strategy as the first phase. All of his moves are the same except the multi laser and the urns. The lasers give you enough time charging up to hide behind a rock. The only problem would be the green urns so for those I either destroy them from afar quickly or stay in a corner until he does his laser attack and destroys them all, but usually you can just fight in an area without them. Also the skull explosions become much bigger so you should either break them or dodge through because they're too big to camp away from.||
